Thanks for watching our 3 part series on Air Combat for Axis and Allies! What questions to you have about air combat in Axis & Allies?
what happens if an infantry Unit enters a territory defended by only a AA gun?
Then, it is a good day to be an infantry. The AA gun is destroyed automatically and the attacker wins the territory.
(This rule varies in some of the earlier versions. )
However, an AA guns in a territory does stop the blitzing ability of tanks.
I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@@BoardGameNation wow!! That was quick! thanks a lot!!!
Happy to help!
What if an air unit fly over a territory (just passing by for whatever reason) with a AA gun? Can the AA gun shoot or no?
Thank you for posting all of your A&A videos. Liked and subscribed. I am new to the game and I really appreciate all the tutorials you guys have produced to make the game playable for newbies.
Great! Thanks for watching!
Let us know if you have any questions along the way. Have fun!
Wow gary, these videos are great, concise. Thanks!
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Learned a lot, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the clarification!
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Great work as always !
When will you cover A&A 1914 ? Sometimes i forget some rules and I can’t find a good how to.
Thanks! I'm thinking about a 1914 video. The full how-to-play videos are huge undertakings. If you have questions now, the forums on Axisandallies.org have a lot of great information on that game.
Thanks again for watching!
The AA plays hell on your mind like no other unit .
I agree completely! It is a unit that doesn't matter until it matters.
Thanks for watching!
Another great video! Question; do anti-aircraft units get to fly at enemy planes if those planes are just flying through those territories?
Thanks for watching!
Anti-Aircraft Guns only fire when a territory comes under attack. Air units can fly over without being fired upon.
I hope that helps!
Question: can you put multiple anti aircraft artillery on a single territory and if so what happens?
Thanks for watching!
Yes, you can place more than one AA gun in the same territory. If that territory comes under attack by enemy air units, the defender gets to fire the AA guns at up to 3 air units per AA gun present.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Hello, very good video, but I have a question. I have the 1942 version and my question is if there is 1 antiaircraft in a territory and they are attacked by 5 fighters, how many dice do the antiaircraft 3 roll?
Thanks for watching!
In that scenario, the defender would roll 3 dice, its maximum.
@@BoardGameNation ok thanks, I understand that if I have 2 anti-aircraft vs 5 fighters, the anti-aircraft can shoot 5 dice?
That's correct. Each AAA can fire up to 3 times and each air unit can only be fired at once.
I think you've got it! :)
Hi! One question, does the AAA fire if enemy airplanes are simply passing by to attack another enemy territory?
No, AA only respond if the territory comes under attack by enemy air units. Passing through has no effect.
Thanks for watching and good hunting!
1 aircraft attacking......... only 1 die is thrown or is it 3 die thrown? I believe it is 1 as you stated " each air unit can only be fired at once"
Is this correct?
Thank you
Air Units vs 1 AA
1 air unit = 1 die
2 = 2 dice
3 = 3 dice
4+ = 3 dice
I hope that helps!
Thanks for watching!
I see what you did there, "theyre feeling froggy"... while in France.
Oh my god I just got the board game it’s so good
Glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for watching!
Play online, NO SETUP TIME lol
@@SD-pi9co - That is true, but I think they are both fun.
@@BoardGameNation Well I have no friends so playing online is best for me lol
@@SD-pi9co If you are looking for people to play with in person, you should check out AxisandAllies.org. They have lots of info about local games.
If the Germans later captures the damaged industrial zone that they damaged in your example, do the Germans then have to pay to repair it, so they can use it to attack Moscow?
Yes. The damage remains.
What A&A version is this? I never new AAA can only shoot 3 times at4 planes? Shouldn’t it be 4 shoots? And I thought AAA can be destroyed
Thanks for watching! This video is a full explanation of the rules for AA Guns for 1942 Second Edition. The rules for Anti-aircraft Artillery have changed over the years.
Based on your questions, it sounds like you enjoy the Classic game from 1984 or 1986. In that case, you are correct. A single AA gun can fire at all the attacking air units and can't be destroyed (only change hands). I am fairly sure that this set of rules for AAA changed in the Anniversary Edition to what is in this video and has been consistent ever since.
I hope this helps! Thanks again for watching!
@@BoardGameNation oh man thanks. I was years behind. That AAA had me all messed up. Thanks for the help. Great video
Happy to help! AA guns trip up a lot of people.
I hope you'll consider subscribing to the channel.
@@BoardGameNation yes I been a member of your channel for a good while. I’ve watched 10 vids so far
Awesome! Thanks!
I'm curious. Do you play games other than Axis and Allies? Have you watched any of our videos about other games?
Normal soldiers can shoot down airplanes right? I’m not sure
Yes. The only unit in the game that can't hit air units is the submarine.
Well AAA guns are either worthless or the cause absolute chaos
That is not a bad way to put it. 😆😆😆
@@BoardGameNation Haha true mate
