The Gamma 6 is a true classic, can be seen almost anywhere! They look best IMO, when they have the wide brim canopy on top :)
I have one on my back patio which has had 80w mbf, 35w CDM-T, 50w mbf, 18w SOX (for 7 years) and finally it now has an 11w PL-S lamp in it!

That option was rare here - the only public ones with the wide canopy (as far as I am aware) were in the village of Rosliston; all others had the narrow canopy. I've seen how your one has undergone various lamp types over the years - just shows what a versatile design it is!

Beautiful lanterns these are, I have one with the thicker canopy running 26W SOX, I use one of these as my main room light as theyre gorgeous

It's interesting to see how the light output of this one, which is in my own room, seems more diffused thanks to the opal bowl than it is with the neighbouring Z5698U's transparent bowl.

Nice! Thorn gamma 6s are a true classic, and I love them and the light they give off. I’m actually trying to get my hands on one!

There are some on eBay at present, but the one listed for £130 is massively overpriced, and should be avoided!

Unfortunately, that seller always charges a fortune for things that aren't rightly his to sell in the first place!
