A section of teachers have rejected the proposed competence test that teachers would be required to take and pass before receiving a certificate of registration. They argue this requirement undermines the already existing teacher recruitment systems.

How can you expect teachers for humanities and primary teachers to upgrade when there there is already inequality. I think 60% will go in to early retirement to do other things because teaching a lone is not the only way of survival.
