    Great bike. Bought one brand new in 2018 here in the States. Best dirt bike I've ever owned. I threw a Rekluse auto in it. Makes a huge difference managing it in tight technical trails.

      Great to hear mate. I've always loved the handling and power of a Suzuki.

      Suzuki gets a bad rep, but for a average rider like myself I think their a ideal bike

    A lot of Suzuki’s are underrated, especially there street bikes I ride gsxs750 is a beast

      Totally agree mate. If your racing it's different but just a bike to do the job and have fun on its perfect for it. Great bikes for the price tag

      I don't think they are underrated... Suzuki has won championships before .. they are a proven professional bikes .... Just alot of haters ... Even my brother bought a new gsxr 600 in the year 2001

I think they even made the first modern dirtbike .. I forgot what year they debuted it .. maybe early 1960's or early 1970..

    i rode the first one in bunbury ,i found it ok power wise , the fuel tank was steel and too small , heavy for this size bike , the bike handled ok on and off road .i would liked to see them refine them more in the years , may off made something . the near twin KLX450r just still available in 2022 , not much has changed , both are ok weekend trail bike , not much else . cheers steve/Australia

    • @auscrosser
      @auscrosser  Před 2 lety

      Agreed. The aluminium fuel tank is to keep better pressure for fuel injection. The tank is small but I always bring a fuel bag with me. The rmx450 stock does have alot of restrictions in the exhaust and airbox. Once removed it goes harder. The bike is in the heavier side of bikes but I think that improves it with corner handling being a evenly weighed bike all around

      @@auscrosser The RMX weight wise is on par with the Honda 450X and the Yamaha WR450. And you can buy one for thousands less. I did.

    Watch out for those funnel-web spiders! I have been considering an RMX for a while now. How does the weight feel? Is it stock or have you uncorked it yet?

    • @auscrosser
      @auscrosser  Před 2 lety +2

      definitely mate! It's stock but the weight isn't a issue for me I can balance very well on it, I feel the weight is evenly balanced and for a 450 is nice and nimble in the tight stuff. I wanted a wr450f but I was on a budget and didn't look back after buying this

      I’ve got one my self come off A rmz250 weight difference isn’t overly noticeable until ya drop it or try throw it around in the air. Handles a treat just had to get used to the gearing and power difference but didn’t take long to adjust. It’s an absolute tractor on hills it’ll lug away all day at low revs. I have removed the throttle restricter and a plastic thing on the air box so it’ll breath better goes much better but still a very rideable bike. Would recommend aye

    • @auscrosser
      @auscrosser  Před rokem +2

      Depends what your doing mate. Road riding and trails I'd say drz. But still going on a mx track and enduro I'd say the rmx450z. I use it for pretty much everything and don't have a issue

      Couldve possibly been valve adjustments or your startor mate, never had a issue with it. It started better with a lithium battery in it

    • @auscrosser
      @auscrosser  Před rokem

      It's been a great bike mate, no issues at all, has great torque and power and only have to service it every 1000km (roughly 600 miles). One of the cheapest dual sport bikes for competing. I use it for trail aswell and it's good at everything

    I had one..did not really like it. I had a Drz 400 with a Yoshi and a cam..it would eat the rmx

    • @auscrosser
      @auscrosser  Před 7 měsíci

      Well it isn't for everyone. I noticed it had alot more torque than the drz. Any bike would be quick with a exhaust and cams. Depends on the ride and the rider on what they do. I got a big bore kit for my old rmz450 and it was night and day

    • @easternyellowjacket276
      @easternyellowjacket276 Před 2 měsíci

      I find this hard to believe considering the RMX is based off the Carmichael RMZ. Has way better suspension and components overall, if you took out the air box baffle, limiter screw on the throttle body, and added a Yoshi RS4 exhaust, the RMX would heat the DRZ alive.
