This move has been a long time coming and I'm excited/nervous to finally be taking the plunge...😬🙈
I'm leaving WW and will be tracking my calories and macros through My Fitness Pal (with a major focus on protein)!
I have been a WW Lifetime member for over 5 years but it's time for a change. WW is an incredible program, which has helped me lose and maintain my weight for many years...
but times are a-changin' and I'm shifting my focus to fat loss and building muscle. As most of you know, I have been getting more serious about weight lifting. In order to trim body fat, I need to be in a caloric deficit. In order to be in a caloric deficit, I need to know calories in vs. calories out. With WW, I always (heavily) relied on zero point foods but if I'm being completely honest, I never measured my portions (of these foods) and was definitely overeating them. Even though fruit is "zero points", it doesn't have zero calories...but I was certainly eating it like it doesn't!🥴 I don't have a certain "weight" I am aspiring to reach this time around--my goals are more focused on how I'm feeling, how my clothes fit, and seeing muscle gains!💪🏻

You are so right about WW and 0 point foods!! I think WW now works for people who need help eating healthy foods and have a large amount of weight to lose, but if you have 20lb or less, having lean protein and fruit and eggs?!? be 0 points does not work at all. They really should create a separate program for those who are closer to their goal. I made this transition about 10 years ago after doing ww for many years and you will love the flexibility of calorie counting!! Esp since you know how to eat healthy already
I swear I just had this same conversation with my husband right before I made the decision to stop WW and transition to macro & calorie counting! You are SO right and I feel the exact same way! WW needs a separate program for people on Lifetime! Thank you SO much for making me feel validated in my thoughts and being so sweet and supportive! Excited to be on this new journey!❤️

Good video!! So true about the 200 calories and 12 pts. I’m starving on WW and feel very restricted when I eat anything high in points. It becomes very hard to stick w the low points then for the rest of the day.
Hi Jody, welcome back ! I was wondering if we would ever see you again and now, you are back better than ever ! At 74, I) remain very active and I have always since a little girl had to be conscious of what I ate ( my mother made sure of that 👎). I am a healthy eater and I like large portions and I never have the desire to snack in between meals. I always got great ideas for meals and you still don't disappoint. I am a retired nurse and finally it is time to pamper and take care of me.
I can't wait to see the kids, time is going by so fast and they are growing just as fast.

I was so excited to see you back. You look fantastic. I need your motivation. My husband is dying with esophageal cancer, so as you can imagine the stress has been high. I have let my own health slide and need to get back to taking care of myself. Can’t wait to see the children especially you youngest since she wasn’t talking much last. Nurse to nurse God made us tough but we do need each other. ❤️❤️
Oh Cathy, my heart breaks for you and your family. I am SO sorry to hear this. Please reach out if you ever need to talk or just need a (virtual) hug❤️. It's so easy to put ourselves on the back-burner when life throws us stressful situations beyond our control. Emotional eating has been something I have struggled with my whole life, so I completely understand. I will be sure to include more footage of the kids in my next video and on Instagram! Quinn's speech has taken off and she's grown so much! Her brothers are also getting so big--life moves so fast...definitely bittersweet❤️

Excited your back as well! I canceled WW just a couple of weeks ago and started doing calorie counting as well. Doing the MyFitness pal and I love it. I loved WW but it really wasn’t working for me as well at this stage. I feel so much better counting calories so less restricted and not as much anxiety. I feel like I either wasn’t eating enough or too much calories on WW. Welcome back!

Tracking calories and macros feels freeing and it's so nice to know exact calories in vs. calories out. I'm so glad we're on this journey together and can support each other!🥰

Welcome back! Previous ww user too! I felt like the program worked at first then I would just stall with my weight. So I started doing Marco and calorie counting and the weight has been falling off
You said that perfectly! I feel like once I lost a certain amount of weight and was close to goal, I kept plateauing (either from consuming too much zero point foods or even not enough calories other days! Too much guesswork and anxiety at the end there and now counting calories and macros just feels right. I'm so glad we're on this journey together and can support each other!🥰
OMG !!! Your back 😀 I'm really struggling to get my crap together on WW I always go over my points then I have this Huge Disappointment & Guilt of screwing up AGAIN.. I thought about doing Low Carb but I like to eat i done it many years ago and done great but gained it all back & then some. I thought about doing the 21 day fix portion containers that way I know exactly I should be eating, Anyway I'm just rambling so good to see you, PS: Your meals looked Amazing especially those fries 🍟 Hope to see you soon.

Wow, that maintenance is impressive!
I totally fell off the track, choosing to listen to shaming from another person for my success, and I put all the 70 lbs that I had lost. It also messed with me when WW changed things a while back. I'm trying to get my head refocused and get back on track.

I agree-WW is great but all the changes can throw you off track! You can do this!! When you’re ready (both physically and mentally), you can and will see success (like you have before)! Hi Heather!! You are SO sweet! Thank you so much! The Mary Ruth's Vitamins are definitely pricey, so I completely understand--$75 a month is hard to justify! Oh my gosh, I WISH those were my natural lashes! I use an at home lash extension system from a company called Urban Dolls-- they last about 5-7 days before I need to reapply! It's nice because even on days where I don't have time to slap some makeup on, I still look semi put together with the lashes on, hahaha!😆. Thank you so much for your kind words!! The Diana's Bananas look good. My local Walmart has them. Your breakfast tortilla looks good. FYI Hormel black label bacon has the same macros as turkey bacon. If you want pork bacon. I am not a big fan of turkey bacon but love turkey sausage. You look great!
