Great to see that Nimona actually got released, it turned out really really well.
As much as I love Back In Action and Brendan Fraser, a Jackie Chan spy movie where he gets pestered by Bugs Bunny sounds like the most amazing thing that could possibly be brought to cinema.
Yeah it bums me out that a movie like that will never happen
In an alternate universe…
Morbius vs Spy Jam.
They even could have possibly referenced his role in Rush Hour by having him awkwardly say "What's Up, Doc?"
I still want the 9/11 movie, seems like a good tribute movie
15:45 Congratulations, your video is now outdated, just under 2 weeks in. Thanks Netflix!
Nimona is literally the underdog who persevered through so much struggle and hardship to finally see the light of day
I wish we got the cancelled Diamondbolt movie

Honestly I love how in the cancelled version Toy Story 3 Buzz was supposed to stay in Taiwan to save toys that were send back to the companies that created them in the end separating from others permanently but in Toy Story 4 Woody was the one who separated from the others (big shocker I know) to help lost toys
The script was horrible. Buzz at one point would've shouted "Too infinity and Be-Yotch!" That would've been the Black Friday Reel levels bad. 😞 Also, he wasn't supposed to die either as Hollow Donkey pointed out.

He DID voice Superman in the TTG movie
That version of Link is dripping with mid 2000's edgelord energy 😂
@@Player-jh4ko Woahhh man, never said it was a positive or a negative thing lol. Just an observation that Link was clearly going through a phase at the time.
Sorry, but I’m gonna have to hard disagree with you. TP Link more so looks detailed than edgy, and ultimately I don’t like the athletic of that test footage. That version of Link looks absolutely nothing like TP Link in any regard.
Before the SpongeBob movie 3 was made, there was actually so much concept art of it from what we got. We could have even got the intergalactic dolphins coming back

Actually, fun-fact, the idea of a resurrected Gwen Stacy who becomes Carnage is actually something that links back to the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, where Gwen was killed by having her life drained by the original Carnage. I don't know the specifics, but the Gwen that was "resurrected" was actually a clone who, due to her death I think, did become the new Carnage as a result thanks to DNA or some such. So, yeah, as crazy as it sounds, there is linkature for how Gwen coming back as Carnage actually somewhat makes sense... because comic books.
That concept originated in the Spider-Man main series comics in the mid-1970s, during the original clone saga. It was kinda not good and pretty confusing. The Ultimate comics did a way better job. In the Ultimate comics the Gwen Stacy clone was created by mixing Gwen's DNA with the Carnage symbiote (which was created by Dr. Connors/The Lizard by mixing his blood with Peter's DNA), and the result was ... unstable. Gwen was cured later in the comics when she as Carnage attacked Venom and Venom absorbed the Carnage symbiote to complete himself again. She and Jessica Drew (a female clone of Peter Parker with spider powers) are the only surviving clones.
CUT- CUT. THE LINE WAS “because comics”, K PEOPLE LETS DO THIS ONE MORE TIME.
@@MyRegardsToTheDodoI thought the Clone Saga was a 90's thing (since Norman Osborn was brought back after supposedly 20 years).
@@johnhoney5089 The first Clone Saga started in the 1970s with Jackal cloning Gwen Stacy, the whole story arc was used every now and then for over 20 years, with multiple retcons and multiple villains attached to it (Jackal, the High Evolutionary, Norman Osborn...). Back when the whole mess started, cloning was pretty much still a thing of the distant future, while in 1997 when the saga ended it was something that would have been considered possible (Dolly the sheep was created/born in 1996).

I’m glad that Nimona at 15:47 was brought back from the dead, it’s a really good and emotional movie that I really like
There was also plans for a Hero Factory movie back when LEGO introduced the theme in 2010. Man I would have loved this idea to properly come into fruition.
I would have loved that mostly bcs im sad hero factory ended + it was my child hood watching hero factory cartoons
Honestly it took a while for Hero factory to figure out what it wanted to be. Maybe a movie could've solidified the line's identity earlier

I genuinely wanted to see what the Legend of Zelda film would've been if it were to be complete. Sucks that we can't see it, it looked amazing.
a title we never expected but never gotten.......adam west bat man fighting godzilla seriously its a good kind of campy hollywood bruh
Maybe we'll get it since we're getting a Super Mario movie
Remember when IGN said fuck the world and broke everyone's hearts with a fake live action Zelda trailer as an April Fools prank
I heard that in 2020 or so another _Zelda_ adaptation was cancelled by Nintendo after some shennanigans I can't remeber right now, what I do remember is that in the same move they also cancelled a stop-motion _Star Fox_ series that was quite far in pre-production
We're getting one, but it's in live action and from Sony Pictures with Nintendo.
To make others less sad about ghostbusters 3, there was a game that got a remake that basically went through the events of the movie, there was some gameplay shown in this video as well, its available on switch, but idk about xbox or ps4/5

18:44 well well well Nimona got saved by Netflix
14:43 Actually, Penders didn't come up with the idea of Sonic Armageddon. It was Ben Hurst, one of the SatAM writers.
Penders found out about Hurst's pitch, planted distrust by telling people at Sega that Hurst wanted to co-opt the Sonic franchise, and then pitched his own version of the script to them.
Me remembering back to the mentions of a Zelda and Metroid Movie that ultimately never went anywhere.
Seriously. I would give anything to see a Zelda movie. Even if it means I have to make the Mario Movie a box office success by myself.
It the Mario movie does well, we very well could get a Zelda movie after it
@@sixsaber0039 With Link voiced by Giancarlo Esposito, of course.
Wasn't there also plans for a Zelda show on Netflix? I vaguely remember seeing rumors for that around the time of Breath of the Wild's release.
Be careful what you wish for as it could risk Illumination making Zelda (they're doing Mario)
"source" on the cancelled Metroid movie?
As a Lupin 3rd fan there was a canceled movie that was going to be directed by Mamoru Oshii and was going to have a depressed Lupin going to a tower to steal an angel fossil, which led to reality being destroyed and Lupin realizing he's nothing more than a fictional character. What even funnier is that after it's cancelation the ideas were used to make Angel Egg.
Damn Mamoru Oshii going at it again after Urusei Yatsura 2. I wonder what kind of surrealist visuals he had planned.
So glad we got the Nimona movie
15:48 at least one of these had a happy ending
Scrapping Skate Jam and Racing Jam have got to be some of the biggest wasted opportunities in history.
Can you IMAGINE a stock car racing or extreme skateboard movie with Looney Tunes Logic in it?
I would LOVE to see Spy Jam with Jackie Chan as the lead. The only movie I can think he did similar, tone wise was The Tuxedo (2002) with it's slap stick comedy and over-the-top tech.
So, Cars?
19:33 The Ganon model literally just looks like a Green version of the Villain in the TMNT movie
Or Sephiroth
Learning we were going to get Amulet movies feels like a stable in the gut. To me, these books are hidden gems with well crafted characters and clear thought and love poured into the world. It feels like a true fantasy and to see it get torn down from potentially hitting the big time, well, it hurts.
Guillermo De Taro the man behind Pacific Rim had plans of adapting H.P Lovecraft's At The Mountains Of Madness, there were even already designs for the albino penguins that will appear near the 3rd act, but this project has been on hold since 2016 and needless to say it is probably cancelled.
As a fan of the Cthulhu Mythos, a part of me died
Gwen Stacy being Carnage was definitely an attempt to bring in elements from the ultimate universe where a clone of Gwen was made with a sample of carnage infused in her, she fought venom for a short bit but lost carnage when venom absorbed it.

District 9 itself is a rework of the cancelled Halo film (in fact, you can actually see some props from that film in District 9)
Also, the Spider-Man 4 tie in game actually started development before the film, and made it to a pre-alpha state. Oddly enough, it actually was reworked into Prototype.
Well, that was a sharp turn from "friendly neighborhood Spiderman"

THE NINONA AGED WELL
9:08 well I have been reading the ultimate comics lately and yes Gwen was killed by carnage and she was resurrected by Peter's DNA that was mixed with carnage DNA (making her a clone of the original Gwen) and she would have been carnage in that universe like the ultimate comics instead of Cletus.. so yeh that concept would have been confusing
It works better in the Ultimate comics because Venom was already established, but we don't know if he would be used or even exist in TASM 3

It's such a shame Imagi shut down as soon as it did, because I think they had so much potential as an animation studio. TMNT was awesome and the fact those sequels never got made is just sad to me. That Zelda movie also seems like it would've been really cool (if we ignore Ganondorf's confusingly sexy design), although that one wasn't cancelled due to the studio shutting down, that was just Nintendo not wanting a repeat of the Mario movie. I just think Imagi deserved so much more.
Good news-in the six months since this video came out, the Nimona adaptation has been picked up at netflix and should be out next year. Right there with you in hoping the Amulet movie still manages to happen eventually, I loved those
Very glad Nimona aged poorly

I would've loved to see Superman Lives. Tim Burton is one of favorite directors and Nicholas Cage would've been a very different and unique version of Superman in a good way. The documentary showed off a lot of great effects never used and the Dan Gilroy filming script they almost used was a very emotional script from what I read. Exploring Clark's motivation to know who he is and thinks he's curse with powers he doesn't understand them. He was extremely variable because he was alone and Lois is his guide to find his purpose and she would love him anyhow , and it would be revealed that Lois is pregnant near the end. Something Clark also feared but soon accepts at the end. It would've been much much better than Superman Returns by a mile.
Man we got robbed big time. Also, since this movie was gonna come out after Batman and Robin, and Michael Keaton would’ve supposedly returned as Batman in SL, then maybe this movie could’ve also retconned BF and BaR to start its own interconnected DC Universe instead.
@@DavidAllgaier_ I remember the Wesley Strick script had a party scene with Lex and Brainiac there and one of the people they meet is Shaquille O'Neal's character from Steel (1997) as a cameo only to later get shot to bits and dies in the scene. So yeah, they would killed off Steel for Superman Lives. Now I'm really mad this didn't happen.
Hopefully Nicholas Cage appears in The Flash Movie as his version of Superman. Well if it ever comes out due to all the trouble Ezra Miller has found himself In. He needs help.
At least we got to hear him voice the Man of Steel in the Teen Titans Go movie.

Nick Cage Superman was robbed from us. 😡
to be fair, we don't actually SEE Hudson Die; we just see him get pulled into the floor grate screaming. He certainly COULD have gotten away. Likely?? no, but possible.
And Hicks is still alive at the end, just unconscious so that his body can heal. He's not dead. His death is off camera in alien 3.
I feel like I really would have enjoyed Superman Lives even with the absurd ideas and themes and I wish they tried making something like that in these days

Every time I watch a new video from Bolt he unearths something from my childhood. I can’t believe anyone else knows about those amulet books!
The canceled hellboy 3 makes me so pissed cause I love the hellboy series
Amulet and Bone are my two favourite comics from my childhood, and that might be with how they both start off pretty lighthearted before becoming pure nightmare fuel in the later books.

7:09 I wish every bad movie that at least tried got a second chance, not a sequel but like remaking the original movie like Snyder cut, like this and that Batman and Robin movie, they both tried really hard and I wish they could get a retry
What about the cancelled Fallout film. That was even being produced by the late Interplay Entertainment. Being that Interplay was going completely bankrupt and they couldn’t finance their baby, I still would’ve loved for it to come out. It would combine Marvels Iron Man with the power armor and David Cronenberg with the nightmare inducing Master.
Actually, back in 2010, my 7th-grade class got a chance to talk to one of the editors of the Amulet graphic novels. Can't remember his name, but we asked about a possible film adaptation, and he said it was "Happening" and that "Will Smith is on board". Crazy how long these talks take sometimes only to end up getting cancelled.
