Need a podcast on VW and its future in India
This would be an interesting one!
Yes please
EV markets are crumbling globally and most brands including tesla are selling at good discounts. Those people who'd buy an ev have already bought one. The remaining population is hard to penetrate. If the battery technology doesn't get better, EVs are going to die off as a trend that couldn't become fully mainstream.
Hyundai Kia are the only two most ballsy mainstream brands that understand what customers want. The way they do things is just exciting in a way which you don't feel from other companies.
Hyundai and Kia together clinched three of the six World Car of the Year awards recently, all while undercutting their competitors. The Kia EV9 won both World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle awards, while the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N was recognized as the World Performance Car.
I became a fan of Hyundai for their N line variants!
Very cool brand for having the N department globally.
I have purchased an i20 nline 6 months back and it’s ❤️. And this coming from a Honda fanboy 😅
Hyundai should launch palisade in India the D segment SUV's are always a big profiter🤑 for any company and there is niche market existed over here too
Lol
Even their Tucson isn't selling well. Palisade is a lot more expensive it won't sell here.

The IPO is not issuing new shares, and I heard the money is going back to sponsors back in Korea. Is this the case
All I want from them is a clear statement or atleast some reassurance about their safety ratings. The moment they get their cars crash tested and come out with a good rating is when I’d take them seriously. They’ve done everything right so far. All I want beyond their offerings as of now is safety. That’s all.
I guess they are getting there. The new Verna is gncap 5 star and I am sure rest will follow.
Podcast on why EV sales are declining in India since 3 months
This unsure rush for an EV revolution is all about profit than protecting enviornment. No-one can alter the natural course of time.
The Podcast I wait for whole week. 😊
I wait for your each podcast. Awsome work AutoCar.
Anticipating the nitin gadkari interview by hormazd sir✌️✌️✌️
Really enjoying this podcast series every weekend.
Thats 32:37 well spent. Excellent podcast 👍
Hundae like Sundae😅
Awesome Content as usual. 🤘🏻💯👌🏼
Great Video!
Very good podcast . Please do one on Honda at the earliest
Hey guys, can you guys do something similar on Honda if possible?
Loved this one! Excited for the fronx rival from Hyundai!
P.S: Hey autocar, Captions are still in the same place. PLEASE ask your editor to put all these captions that appear in the video a little bit upwards. Please try watching on TV you'll understand what I'm talking about. CZcams's captions coincide with the position of your captions. Please move the in video captions a little more upwards so that they're clearly visible! ✌️
Hyundai's drop in market share from 2019 makes up for Kia's incline in sales from the same period.
Please also make an episode on Honda...that is the brand that I personally want to see do well...the elevate is a wonderful product...also answer why they are struggling despite having the technology and what next for Honda in Indian market?
What’s going on with force motors?
Need a podcast on VW and its plan in India😊
always waiting for hormazd!
Loved it. Excellent! Is Hyundai playing to launch the Defender look alike the Santa Fe in India ?
Hormazd, you must ask our govt to make atleast 3 star safety rating mandatory for all passenger vehicles.
China (world's biggest car market) new car sales is almost 50% EV and now growing further.
I just saw a KIA Seltos with a Hybrid coming soon. So definitely Hyundai will also come with a similar one as they share the same platform & technology
Thank you for another informative podcast. Does Hyundai have any plans to market the Tucson and Santa Fe aggressively in the Indian market in the short to medium term.
So, in the next year and a half, Hyundai's only coming out with an EV in a segment that's slowing down and saturated, a facelift for a model (Alcazar) that's low-selling and one other product. That's not a big bang. That's a whimper. Hyundai would do well to lower prices of Alcazar and improve their design language. Except Creta, others will tail off if they don't look good as brand equity isn't high enough to jettison aesthetics altogether.
China new car sales is now half EV. I don't know why is there still a doubt on EV future
Actually hyundai is under pressure they have somehow maintained their position on the sales chart they were selling 50000 cars per month 5 years ago and they are still selling 50000 cars per month forget about growth if curvv and 5 door thar start to sell like other recent tata and mahindra cars then hyundai is in big trouble.
Good ❤
If Hyundai can make 5 star rated cars. They will be market leaders in India
Continuing Diesel Torque Convertor version would have generated more sales for Verna
Hyundai does understand suspension for Indian Roads that is for sure. They have bad suspension setup for handling potholes especially at slow speeds.
creta suspension also bad at handling potholes?
Your opinion on vw and skoda
Instead of EVs which is declining globally, Hyundai must focus on affordable Hybrid cars with localisation. Regarding full size SUVs, Hyundai must consider Palisade or SantaFe for India with Telluride from Kia and an MPV-Stargazer also which is a hit in international market.
Also N division must be introduced instead of Genesis
Huyandai big suv are huge luxury best in everyway😊😊😊😊
Please next podcast on VW and Skoda future in India.
If hyundai really wants to top they have to hire the designing team of 2018 creta & i20 back. They were reason of success of hyundai's reach to every home.
Hybrid is a space ignored by most automobile brands , not all consumers are keen on EV.
11:55 Any info on next generation venue?
👍👍
After these white LED headlights are introduced many car drivers have started using Dipper unnecessarily. It’s so irritating. They are using it everywhere on highways and city roads also. They actually don’t know why it should be used.
Safety is a big issue for Hyundai n Kia... no crash tests although they were good to bring in adas. Creta is a game changer for them. They have also different Powertrains that suit buyers including features & creature comforts.
Vw should learn from them. They take customers in India for a ride by pricing their cars high without any creature comforts & always bring them in very late... take for adas as an example
. Their Taigun is a small one compared to creta but price it higher for the badge vw. They never learn
Any possibility of diesel Verna??
Not sure if Hyundai will launch Santa Fe and Palisade, they are the true competitors for XUV700 and not 7 seater creta!
For me diesel is the engine I choose.. i20 and verna I love it but there is no diesel, it shows hyundai slowly moving out of that segment
will Hyundai bring Elantra back to India. Are there any talks about bringing their N performance division to India. I think Hyundai can definitely bring a new segment with this cars i.e affordable sporty cars which we lack right now. If you want to get the brand image like Mahindra then you have to make powerful engines like them which makes them attractive. There are more enthusiasts buyer nowadays who want performance and are not worried about mileage.
I believe the hatchback and sedan segment is not giving good sales because you have to make them now more sporty and luxurious and not just a family car as the concept of family car is changing now in India. Put the creta engine and its features in verna it's sales will definitely go up.
Heared Renault is planning to raise its market share from 1% to 10 in 1st year, with Hybrid version and double fuel version of all their 4 models, with a 4 wheel drive version of 2 of them
Any AWD/4x4/off-road vehicles coming from Hyundai in near future ?
Tucson is available with AWD
Interesting Hyundai's " Man to Man marking and counter attacking with New EV products" Tougher for opponents, Indian brands with poor fit and finish will difficult to match up Hyundai.
Kudos to Hyundai offering class products to Indian Customers.
Don’t mix Tata and Mahindra in the same block. Mahindra is way better than Tata in terms of quality, reliability etc.
You sacrifice fit and finish for better structural safety and crash worthiness. I think fit and finish are overrated. Good fit and finish might delight enthusiasts and engineers, but i do not see it adding any significant value to the end user....
Isnt the Hyundai Tucson sold in India the same as the LWB version sold in China as Tucson L? Theyre still selling the older generation Tucson alongside this
Finally!!😅 I was wondering why Hyundai is not competing with Fronx and other products and fill all the blank spaces. Their fit and finish, reliability and after sales service is all v good
Exter is almost Fronx segment in many ways.
How about doing one on Toyota
What about new SantaFe??
If they have studied Indian consumers then they must launched the big 7seater and their custidio mpv better then toyota hycross
Hyundai needs to focus on plug in hybrid vehicles, specially in verna due to poor mileage no one is interested in this car though it is a fantastic car.
But i didn't able get Conclusion about this podcast about Hyundai Epsiode 😅 HYUNDAI SHOULD GET 2000CC DIESEL ENGINES TO COMPIT WILL H Maninder SUV CARS TO THIER ALCAZAR CAR, SHOULD GET DIESELS ENGINE DOR VERNA ASLO, INDIAN CONSUMER READY PAY EVEN THOUGH PRICES HIKE
This podcast made me realise how much maruti is out of the game now. Now large cars planned, no EVs in pipeline, nothing premium or safe.
EV is not the solution you can go hybrid for the time being but if you go for EV on a long term you you struggle as it's an EV
Hyundai is the biggest thing currently
Hyundai need a sub4 meter suv with 1.5 litre petrol.
With their latest engines, Mahindra has trumped the only advantage of Hyundai-Kia, which is good engines, especially diesel. That’s why Mahindra will keep eating into Hyundai’s share. New XUV-500 will come next year to kill the Creta for good.
What's happening with VW and Skoda? Will they leave India?
Are Hyundai Alcazar and Kia Carens not the same cars? Just like Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta.
Hybrids are the way to go for atleast next 25 years
Honda please
Venue and Fronx are in same segment, no?
Yes and No since Venue is seen as a rival of Brezza...they might use the i20 platform for Fronx rival
No hybrids?
NO.
Hyundai pls improve ur build quality also to the tune of germans cars...don't follow maruti footprint in terms of build quality..
Guys… vw virtus 1.5 dsg or hyundai verna 1.5 turbo dct???😅
virtus
Creta ev.
Why hyundai focusing on cheap 7 seater for competition they should focus on palisade , santafe
The Premium customers they loosing , where Tucson is premium but 5 seater , in 5 seater ton of options in india ,
Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, must put pressure on the government to reduce GST on hybrid vehicles. Also, the typical 15 year use limit must not be applicable to Hybrids. At present technology, hybrids are better and more environment friendly than pure EVs. Hybrids must be encouraged by reducing GST for fast development and adoption in the market. There will be resistance from non hybrid makers like TATA & M&M & others but the industry must form a consensus on the road ahead.
Hyundai and Kia have comparative advantage in EVs so they'd never lobby for hybrids.
Hyundai can become the new Maruti Suzuki in 10 years
I don't like the looks of new Hyundai models..old ones are better in my opinion.
Dont recommend Kia . I would prefer always hyundai if we compare all the aspect wrt car.
Always mentioning gadgets and gizmos.... People must understand that they dont make santos and accents no more the real hyundais with strong reliability and quality.Presently there steerings are super vague at high speeds.. turbo gdi dcts having lot of heating issues among customers. paying premium to get 2 star safety cars.. 6 airbags se kuch nhi hota.. body shell also matters..
Dont know when indian wd stop flocking like sheeps to these unwanted gadgets....
India is looking for 15lakh sub 4 meter premium ev will all fetaures including ventilated seats ,etc
Lesson is don't disrespect the Indian car consumer. Give them a Mercedes at the price of a Maruti.
1st view
Hyundai, Kia EVs - Too late, too little.
They should forget EVs and focus on strong Hybrids
Hyundai safety is shit
What will be price for XUV 700 rival?
