The fact I'm hear having to watch this video tells you how my day is going lol.. Appreciate the tip!
Im having that day today my bro
The intro is hilarious đ and that Reign is some good stuff. I can only drink a half can per 3-5 hours though or my heart will be racing
What up Clutch; racing is always a good thing
Literally saved me so much time. I cant believe I have never thought of this before! Thank you!
This trick worked for me. Thanks for publishing!
None of these videos ever work, BUT THIS ONE DID. Thanks brother!
Can't believe that actually worked, I used a socket set but worked literally the first try after struggling with one dowel pin for an hour
Had to comment here. Got stuck trying to pull one out just now... fast forwarded to what I needed to see and it worked...thanks dude
This was gold for me tonight, thank you.
Glad it worked man!
Thanks for posting this. Worked like a charm!
Good tip. I just replace the stubborn dowel. Thanks, Mike!
I'm glad I could help Mike!
I just used this trick, works great!
Thank you your idea works so well. I was going crazy.
Many thx for the tips, you save my day.
Great tip! Dyno the 2 pipes đȘđșđžđ
Wow. This works great.
never knew this but it will help for future references !!
Thank you for a very simple solution to a difficult problem!
That is really clever, thanks!
Thanks bro! This helped me a lot!
Nice trick for the dowels, will adopt that technique 4 sure !
And what a nice finish on that chromed/nickel plated pipe !
Motion pro also makes a dowel pin puller. Itâs got a mini slide hammer that attaches to them & plunks them out, works great. This is still a great tip for ppl that donât want to wait for the tool or donât care to buy it.
Haven't seen that tool but it makes sense; sounds like a blind bearing puller!
Going to try this on a stubborn cylinder base dowel I have soaking in penetrating fluid overnight, thank you!! Also I still have the aluminum base gasket so will probably refit that temporarily to protect the gasket face
Thanks for the idea
Thank you sir, good video very well explained. parts store where closed and I needed to remove thanks keep up the good work
Love hacks like this! đ€đŒ
Thank you for watching man!
This is a good tip, thanks for doing this. I've used a torch to heat the case for stubborn dowels, but this trick looks a lot quicker.
@Chaz Surrett yes, most of the time. But sometimes I end up wrecking the dowel that way.
I usually put oil on all the new ones i install on builds and they usually come out pretty easy if Iâm ever back in the engine! Nice trick!
Thank you for watching onewheel; good idea; I usually anti seize them on install!
Cool tip big Pimpđđ»đ€đ€
Thank you brotha!
Thank you! as soon as my bf heard âdrill indexâ he knew what to dođ works!
You the man! Love the videos bro!!
Thank you for watching man!
Brasil ligado no vĂdeo top demaisđ€đ€
Nice little hack đ
The pipe si beautifulđ
Bruh u saved my life. Cyber knucks đ€
absolutely genius my G lol saved me
Hahahhahaha that's how do it man..man I've so stupid, I can't even think how to do it like this.. You're a savior. Thank you sooooo much for this teach. I love you sooo muchhh đđđđđđ
Thank you so much
I just finished using a thread tap on them. I'm going to pull them out with a slide hammer. I like the idea of tapping them because you do not cause any distortion on the exterior and you also have an easier way of reinstalling them.
Hi sir. I am a harley guy and I wish I had seen your video prior. What a great idea/Hack!
thank you it works đ
Beautiful pipe mike. I like the technique u used with the dowel pins.
Thank you Nick!
Like these type of videos makes me crack up every time đ keep it up and soon youâll be at the top
Thank you for watching and for the feedback bro!
Thank you sir đ
Heck yeah Mike!
You sold me a linkage rebuild kit for more than retail. why
Hopefully this works for my old CR!
Nice. I've got one that I'm trying to remove from an old quadracer
Hell yea man !!!
Itâs thanks to you that my S2k isnât a smoldering pile of ash rn. Thanks for the technique.
cool..thanks
15 seconds of good info ,spread over 9.29 minutes. Thanks for the 15seconds. lay off the energy drink. Thanks!
very nice......
thx man now a can finish my Yamaha blaster 200
You heat them up but the intro was great lol
Thank you man haha
Map torch and vice grips đ never failed me yet
Explain please in current position on vg33e
Should the drill set be metric or SAE⊠meaning you know how they are each slightly different in sizes? The thinking being the slight difference in sizes might allow for one to fit more snugly inside the other. IDK just a thought
Heat the case up where the dowel pin is stuck in it with a pen torch this will help it free up. Good videos bud.
Good call; this trick hasn't failed me yet, but if it does; heat will be next!
Hey I got a question I rebuilt my motor and I noticed I was missing the back dowel pin and I was wondering if I really need it?? Anything really help
That peach Reign energy drink is the most important thing LMAO đ
I literally have one every morning lol
The better pliers to use here are knipex 8603150 (smooth jaws) they donât mare the outside of the dowel pin so you can still reuse them again but the the use of the drill bit is definitely right on
TL;DW: Stick the shank of a close-fitting drill bit into the dowel to prevent it from collapsing, grab it with vise grips and twist it out. Enjoy the nine minutes you just saved.
Thanks Micheal Wicheal for that sneaky peaky lol
Thank you for always watching my videos Austie wostie!
I have Never done this. But for some reason i knew what you were going to do lol.
Hahaha; thank you for watching man!
Hopefully I won't need it, but the video was very helpful.
A good tip but as others have said a little heat helps.
Have you seen the channel from Paul X, he is a machinist and repairer who did a video on his particular method of dowel removal. It might be of interest to you .
Whatâs the trick to rounding them back out, if you tried to pull with needle-nose before doing this method?
Mine looks pretty damn round still, I keep trying to use the drill bit as a âreamerâ almost, and or a guided to get it in straight, but the one end jusy doesnr wanna go in...
It would also be nice for you to explain how to clean up the hole where the dowels go (if itâs nasty or corroded
Dremal with a cyclinder stlye wire wheel or reg wire wheel
That's a good idea; I will add it to the list!
Has 2vintage ever reached out to you. For tunning tios. Just wondering.
He actually did DM me about the digs I made; dudes on another planet lmao
Hey Mike, what happened to the counter-shaft? I wanted to see how you got that thing out.
Meant to put that in my last video and forgot; I heated it with a torch after letting it soak in penetrating oil overnight and it came out with some hammering.
@@MichaelSabo Cool man, thanks for the response! đ
Great! Would never have thought of that. Just the tip I needed
Heat up the Case with a torch for about 20 seconds not the pin... Aluminum will expand faster than the Steel and pin will come out much easier
Good way to screw up the case mating surface, fill the hole with grease and hammer the drill bit in with a dead blowâŠ. Hydraulics friend
good video brother little short lol. Just one thing if someone is rebuilding a motor and is strapped for cash and cant afford new dowel pins they have no business tearing down a motor.
Hahaha, that is very true. Thank you for watching man!
Thatâs you opinion Iâm rebuilding my engine on a budget
The dowel pin on my engine is solid so I donât need that trick but they are extremely tight cant even take them off with a vice grip. You got anymore trick?
How did you take the counter shaft out
I forgot to mention this in my most recent video; I had to heat up up with a torch after it sat in penetrating oil over night. It came out, but it was a bitch!
I use a slide hammer dowel pin removal tool. Thereâs never any fuss and the dowels always pop out.
đ
10 minute video for 30 seconds of advice
This man 2 vintage said in his video where he was racing a 50cc bike and a Moto 4 and he said the Moto 4 which is 80cc he said his moto4 goes 43 mph my neighbors 300ex tops out at 49 he is crazy
That dudes not really on the same page as anyone else it seems.
Reminds me of the guy from flex seal lolđ
Hahaha YES! And Billy Mays
Will you be buying blind hole puller soon? They are cheap on amazon
Blind bearing puller for bearings; yes!
Just a thought....saves dowels completely!
Call dibs on the first offer when you ever decide to sell the build.
Skip to 5 minute mark where he actually does what you came here to see.
How do you re install them ? Just bang them in with a hammer?
Its friday wheres the new video ?
Posted a day late; my bad!
tHUMBS UP
Worst salesman ever if he is trying to sell something lol
No dislike button so Ill bitch here. If someone is watching this they know what a dowel is! 10 minutes to just show your technique.
I thought u weâre gonna get the raw pipe!!????
Yessir, I have a raw LED pipe on order; I will be running both on the dyno
Can I have a free sweatshirt I don't got no money for it
First
Video is 9:20 longer than it needed to be. Ugh
Drop the humor get to your points
WHY the long speech, get on with it.
Anyone looking for this info knows what the damn pin does. Get to the point ..and your intro is too long and loud. Hell no I'm not subscribing. The majority of pwople looking for a tip luke this is literally sitting int heir driveway. Do you think they want to watch a fricken movie? Oh i tjink you are almost about to do something.
Oh only on hollow and the obvious trick. Could have shown that in 20 seconds. Why do people thonk everyone wants to hear them yammer on? Good gawd.
