- Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions is a Spider-Man game featuring The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man 2099, and Ultimate Spider-Man. You could say that Shattered Dimensions paved the way for Into the Spider-Verse, Across the Spider-Verse and Beyond the Spider-Verse! It was the first instance of a piece of Spider-Man media solely revolving around the spider-verse concept, other than Spider-Man: TAS. I played the entirety of the game, so let's see how it holds up, and just how much inspiration Across the Spider-Verse might have taken from Shattered Dimensions!

She goes on to become Spider-Girl with Peter’s help, but retires because she couldn’t handle the responsibility.

This game was so good, not only in gameplay, but in influence of modern media as well

@@doomgirl5341 thing is... i had a really bad habit of asking my mom to _constantly_ refund games that were good or at least decent when i was younger, i guess i was enjoying Shattered Dimensions quite a bit but i guess the only levels i didn't like were 2099's because i was extremely bad at them, i hadn't even gotten to battle scorpion which is a shame, if it were today i probably would've given it a fair chance and finally get to finish it for good but eh... it is what it is
I always loved the Noir segments. I was so used to shabbily done stealth segments, but I got borderline giddy zipping just over lines of sight, dropping from above just to drag an unsuspecting goon back up with me, and that first Hammerhead fight with the mounted gatling gun gave me more adrenaline than any actually difficult fight. I did hate getting those required battles and chase segments, because the stealth was so much fun
I was practically the opposite. My favorite part was the symbiote segments

Surprised Marvel didn't take an opportunity to pit the two against one another in some form in the 2000's until the Spider-Men crossover, which I believe came out a year after this game. I liked this silly little video a bunch, excited for the Miguel video!

This games attention to comic book detail has always made me an advocate for more comic book style spidey video games like ultimate Spider-Man and ps1 Spider-Man, wish that style was more loved than realism
It’s always dope to see Spider-Man Noir in various media outside of the comics(favorite one being Nicolas Cage’s VA as him). I hope the live action series is good. Also I love the many sonic songs in this video. They were pretty fitting ngl.
I remember playing this in Summer Camp. I remember playing Kraven, some 2099, struggling to find the cameras in Deadpool, getting killed immediately in Noir, and overall having fun.
Oh, I also defeated Kraven, Goblin, and Helped fight Mysterio (I was the only one the likes the Noir sections)
fun fact, this game was my introduction to spiderman, alternate universes, multiverses, and disappointing sequels. this and shadow of mordor are my childhood
4:06 because of the orange-ish, red-ish lenses, i’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be Bullet-Points Spider-Man. In case you don’t know, he came from a series called Marvel Bullet-Points, where Marvel heroes become other Marvel heroes. For example, Bruce Banner becomes Spider-Man and Peter Parker becomes Hulk.

The spider-person shown at 3:50 is an alternate version of Betty Brant, a coworker and friend of Peter's. In a What If comic, she becomes Spider-Woman, and that's the outfit she wears...yeah, not really the peak of fashion, I know.

I would say I love this game, the only reason I can’t is because I haven’t played it, Ive been looking to play it but like I’m not rich and I don’t feel like buying a Xbox 360 or something else to play one game. On a different note I love the ideas especially the characterization of the Spidermen, and I have seen some complaints about how characters are characterized like 2099 and how he has this egotistical personality but idk it’s just a different take on a character and that’s interesting. Anyway great video on a video game that doesn’t get much attention.

Ultimate's world looks like an HD port of the 2005 game that features him, I kind of wished they got the voice actor for peter in that game to voice him since I don't see Ultimate in any other voice.
I remember being able to play the noir and ultimate electro level after renting the game from GameFly. I was terrible at it. Sent the game back. Now years later. I actively sought out the game again. Love it sm. Have beaten it twice and it’s just a joy to play

Played this game when it came out, on wii and xb360, and it still goes hard to this day, i bought it on my PC and it hasn't aged a DAY
I hear a lot of conflicted feelings for this game when it came to the punch out first person bits of the boss fights. Personally, I enjoyed them but specifically because I played this game through the wii version which uses the wiimote’s motion controls to fight which to me felt awesome and immersive when I was younger and I still think is a cool little part of the wii version of this game. One more thing, is that it’s also one of the better looking ports of an hd game to the wii.
I loved this game and also Edge of Time.

I used to play this game so much back in the day. I still have the disk, but sadly my PC doesn't have a disk tray.
I only had the DS version, I got to either a 2099 or Noir part and couldn't progress or something, then I lost the cartridge, and I've never quite gotten over that
I never really thought about it, as the story's your usual Saturday morning cartoon kind of story. It works, if only to enable the gameplay, but still... If the Tablet of Order and Chaos is so powerful... why is it lying in a museum and not in the possession of, y'know... Doctor Strange? Dude lives in New York, lol.

Instead of Peter being bit by the Spider, it was her instead while she was doing a newspaper report on the science lab where the spider is from. Something like that anyways, I’m not really too knowledgeable on the Spider-verse
Looking back, while I adore this game and the way it introduced characters like Noir and 2099, it's kinda weird seeing how some of them are portrayed compared to how they normally are. Like Miguel is so chirper and fun of life in this game, which is such a drastic change knowing how he is in the comics, Edge of Time, and especially in Across the Spiderverse.
