Pedro’s voice is just perfect for the Mandalorian. He does an amazing job just using it to inflect emotion despite his face being covered so much.

@@pedropascallivechat1978 Yeah yeah, Jason Beghe tried to screw me over with that already.
It's technically possible, I think. I don't think The Mandalorian has disclosed his age. The time gap between Obi Wan Kenobi and Mandalorian is only about 18-ish years? Perhaps we could see young Mando.
@@jordanthurt The Mandalorian's age wasn't disclosed, but one could take a good guess nonetheless. he was orphaned when he was like 8 to 10 back in the clone wars were in full swing, & the clone wars had been abhorrently short despite its scale & the weight of the outcome. add that to the Mando setting being like 30 years after the empire came into power, you'd have Din being somewhere around 40. them meeting was highly unlikely, downright impossible even, however. Din would have known what Jedi were if he'd seen them in the flesh, yet it was made very clear that he didn't know the space wizards exist until he picked up Grogu, & Obi-wan was already dead by the time Mando picked up Grogu.
@@FalconWindblader There's still hope of Cal Kestis meeting up with either one of them at least... Now THAT'S something I'd really wanna see. Either in Jedi: Survivor or in live action maybe? Hope Disney realizes he is up there with Mando, Ahsoka and Grogu so that it can happen.
Pedro fan boy-ing over Ewan and Trainspotting was so relatable. So relatable
To think that Ewans agent advised him against playing Obi-wan and he said "I'm doing it,it's STAR WARS!". We almost didn't have this moment, all these moments. Thank God for Ewans instincts. He was warned that he would be type cast forever and did it anyways. This man is a treasure.

My favorite part in all of this is knowing that Ewan McGregor and Pedro Pascal have both experienced that moment of being transported back to being a little kid because of Star Wars. To those of us who have loved Star Wars our whole lives, it's insane how the smallest thing can make us have such a visceral reaction or emotional response. Whether that catalyst is a certain scene or a prop or a character. It's just such an intense feeling to have. I'm probably being dramatic, I know, but it just feels really personal and important. Ya know? I'll forever have a soft spot for Star Wars and I'll always find it so endearing to know that something I love is also personal and important to others as well. I'll stop rambling now😅 In other news, this was a delightful interview from start to finish.

I don’t know if anybody else feels the same way. However, I am very much enjoying actors on actors. Them interacting with each other. No scripts. No Fed lines. Just raw and emotional reactions. I am loving this.!!!!!!!!!
I like how the mandalorian subverted expectations. It told me not to expect jedis and magic the first half, then gave me nothing but jedis and magic the second. I was pleasantly subverted. The original star wars franchise was unpredictable because science fiction was so fresh at the time, so Obi Wan wasn't a difficult character to pull off. Pedro really had his work cut out for him. With quiet protagonists, their posture, movement, becomes the character. Obi Wan def got movements down, how he's gentle and graceful in everything. Jumping from the highground always landing like he's doing a curtsy, fits the character like a trained fencer. But the mando had to be much more subtle and less exaggerated in his movements since the audiences focus was so much on him. If you were looking at Obi Wans flamboyant movements the whole time, you'd realize how fake and exaggerated they are. There is an art in the millennial style of things. Less is more in acting. Classic film ages like fine wine for a reason. It's bitter in it's original flavor. There's still more to do in film, definitely.
