Steven Yeun is really one of my favorite actors at this point. I totally get what Pedro means about seeing Glen for the first time in Walking Dead and recognizing a “quality” there. Yeun just nails every single role - action, comedy, drama, horror. He brings such a realness.
Agreed
so, so true--i think ive been a steven yeun fan SINCE that pilot. his work there really put him on the map for me and it's gorgeous to see how far he has been able to go since then :')
I sometimes forget that the TWD pilot premiered just 5 months after Lost ended in 2010! To me Steven has been a star actor since then, way before I even knew who Pedro was, even though Pedro is my favorite now lol.
Glen wasn't as likeable in the comics. Steven did well.
Dude even nails his voice acting roles. Him as Keith in Voltron was absolutely perfect, no other actor could do a better job.
The fact that Pedro fully respected Bella's pronounce (they/them) just warms my heart. Truly a dad we all need!
Nah fuck that pronoun shit
I ran to the comments to say this. It’s so effortless for him. It just shows how easy it is to respect people’s identity.
This "they/them" bullshit is retarded. She is a girl. End of story.
@@Anasnowlifeactually! they/them pronouns have been used in singular terms for centuries, if someone doesn’t know the gender identity of a person they’d use they/them pronouns. it’s actually pretty common.
@@Anasnowlifealso gender is fluid, it’s a social construct that humans created because our brains have a need to put things in boxes and organise what we experience. man and woman are terms we created and tbf it’s both old fashioned and flawed! not even sex is as simple as we make it to be, a lot of people are intersex and never find out because doctors determine if they’re “man” or “woman” purely based on assumption. we live in a world where animals can be (in our terms) non-binary, homosexual, trans, etc. the concept of pronouns, sexuality, and gender doesn’t exist to them they just exist :)
they’re so gentle and soft spoken ! two intelligent talented men having an honest conversation about their careers, this is how actors on actors should be every time

Really your only born 1 outta 2 ways.....
He might have said “she” in regard to Ellie’s character, who goes by she. Not Bella. But yes I agree it was sweet
@midnightstories6816 …
short sighted, close minded, and not true. we can and should have a baseline of respect for our fellow humans. That sort of respect costs nothing, but a lack of it creates an unquantifiable deficit. Do better please.
I am convinced that Pedro Pascal and Keanu Reeves are the most likable men in Hollywood.
Keanu is not in this interview though.

No wonder millions are in love with Pedro Pascal-you really couldn't even write a better man. Not only is he insanely talented, delivering a range of emotionally riveting , evocative, immersive performances, but he possesses so many beautiful traits. He's really the most internally and externally beautiful man alive to me -watching him in Narcos drove me insane. Not to mention how humble, funny, charming, compassionate, and wholesome he is.
A-men. :)
Pedro Pascal makes me thing this what Johnny Depp could have been but never became. A guy without drama and drugs.
You don't know how much I want Steven to play Mr Negative in the MCU.. His performance in burning sells it to me
The fact that every Pedro + other actor interview has a comment that says “the duo we needed” speaks volumes of Pedro. He’s just the PERSON everyone needs. I hope everyone finds their Pedro. 💛
you gotta be heaven to see heaven 💅
I second hoping everyone finds their Pedro. 😊
It’s not possible, Pedro is seriously one of a kind! I can only imagine how awesome it would be to have one of these genuine interactions with him. 😭❤️
Pedro is truly what I imagine the universe intended human beings to be when we were created... Such a beautiful, kind, gentle, calm and compassionate human! Forever in awe.

Listen to what Steven says about Pedro's performance in the Mandalorian! 15:48 How many actors would willingly agree not to show their face in such a major Star Wars role? So observant and sweet of Steven to point that out. Loved Steven for saying those things after people constantly going after Pedro for it, even though it was the essence of Din Djarin's character to not show his face.
To be fair though he probably did know they'd do the whole reveal which if anything just boosts how much people pay attention to how you look.
Both Steven and Pedro got nominated for Emmys this year! They are both first time nominees too. Btw, I just binge watched TWD recently and I cannot believe the Emmys never nominated the overall show or any of the actors all those years- it was an excellent drama series that included zombies. TWD was definitely robbed, especially for the ultimate leading man, Andrew Lincoln. Jon Bernthal just got nominated for an Emmy this year too, when he should've been nominated a long time ago during the first 2 seasons of TWD, smh.
Omg I totally agree!
Agreed
TWD not being nominated for anything is quite literally my roman empire. it haunts me at night

Watched it the other day, amazing film!
I was hoping they’d talk about it! It’s amazing.
That movie stayed with me for a long time, his great Gatsby character gave the right kind of slimeball sleeze
What a beautiful connection between two self aware and empathetic men. I would love to see them in a film together I think their chemistry is palpable. I also appreciate Pedro's consistent observation and respect of Bella's pronouns especially as a man approaching 50 who simply has lived a life where this layer of language was not reinforced in the way it is now.

If there's an Oscar category for "Best Babysitter" Pedro Pascal should win it next year for babysitting Grogu in The Mandalorian and Ellie in The Last of Us 😂
There’s a reason we call him ‘Daddy’.
Don't forget he would also get this for his character in "Prospect"! 😂😂

I love both these guys. But Steven Yeun's performance in Beef made me cry so much. He was so moving and touching in that show.
Steven has so much empathy and insight; there’s a reason he’s becoming one of the best working directors and is already my favorite working actor. Hell, he’s even generous *in this interview*. Such a great conversation between these two.

Nah, he doesn't know about that cuz he laughs with abusers and supports them.
@@bword590 Ever heard of dark humor? I have a strong feeling you've taken that out of context as him laughing at somebody who was actually raped. I remember seeing something about racial jokes and the same honestly applies for any joke that could be offensive. There's a difference between a racist joke, and a joke that's racist. Same thing for this topic. Most of the best comedians have used dark humor like that. Dave Chapelle, George Carlin, Bill Burr, Ricky Gervais. Just to name a few.

Steven Yeun and Pedro Pascal in conversation were a dream to watch, each displaying the utmost admiration and respect towards each other. The amount of humor was perfect. Every interview/conversation should emulate this conversation.

It is so rare to find 2 people who can talk about their experiences at such a deep level and completely understand each other. This was an amazing match!
When Steven cracks up laughing, I get such a dopamine hit. He wears his heart on his sleeve and doesn't feel the need to be this super serious, super cool Hollywood dude. Love him. And love Pedro.
My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough time to hear more of their thoughts on their experiences. Also, I did feel dumb at a certain point of their conversation lol but i think it’s mostly that they are actors and are on a different wavelength. 9:06 This scene from Beef had me truly stunned. We are seeing the character open up and become so emotionally vulnerable, all the while we really have no idea what's going on inside.
