Flanger works a treat on acoustic guitar if you just use it to add some subtle wobble. Like you say, it's versatile, and it's more so than we usually hear. This unit seems to be a good one too. I had a really cheap one that sucked tone & volume, so it had to go. If the TC doesn't do those things it's terrific value for money.
