- I was dropping off some gear at the Rat shop after hours and thought maybe you'd like to join me for a walk through.
Also I have started a CZcams membership area where I release videos early and post exclusive additional content for the huge price of $4.99 a month. An area where I can better interact with sound humans outside of the general public. Come join us if you are interested!

Hey Dave, If I would be there I’ll be like a child in a toy store, I love that warehouse and all the stuff there…
👍🤙👍
"It's pretty empty right now." I would love to have a warehouse that "empty"!!!
Ha, wouldn't we all right now!
I particularly liked the tidy cable peg racking. Very easy to see all leads.
👍
Omg Dave, this is really inspiring to me as a, not so young audio engineer! Thank you :)
Very cool and thank you!
It´s a paradise !!! I would love to work there even cleaning the toilet !!!
I asked first 🤪
What a lovely spot. For anybody wanting to know about pro audio... that's how you do it!
Gonna give this a +10 for park your vehicle inside!
Seriously, wishing you the very best of luck with the oncoming wuhan coronavirus lockdown... this is hell on wheels for companies involved in events in the UK.
This makes me miss our old live sound company (X13 Sound Services) We closed over a year ago, we were nowhere near as big as you guys but it was fun. We were sponsored by Kustom but didn't use most of the equipment. I just used it to make some of my own prototypes. We used a lot of EV, Monster cables, B-52, Yamaha, and Presonus. We still have a ton of the old equipment and was thinking of doing a little walkthrough like this. Love your videos and it would be awesome to see more speaker videos like the ones in the past. I've been a speaker nut sense I was like 10. I would mess around with anything! Cheap stuff, good stuff, mid range stuff then finally got into the pro stuff.
Hi dave thanks for the tour ,its really inspire me
Cool cool
Very cool, Dave. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Dave. Nice to have you open your office and shop up for us to check out.
Your shop floors are nice and shiney. Well organized. Nice new equipment, with new serials. Cheers me up a bit!
Have a nice day.....In Rock N Roll.
Wow!! Incredible. CONGRATS on all your success & thanks so much for sharing Dave. I would love to see more of the super sub project & more on your 18 speakers/subs. Thanks again.
Thanks for the tour, Dave. I hope you will continue to be successful in your endeavors, and thanks for your continued contribution to ProSoundWeb.
Great video thanks for sharing! 👍
Fantastic tour. Love all the old stuff in the office
Awesome and thank you! Checked out a few of your vids. Cool cool! A bit heavy on the vox reverb, no need to bury your voice that much but other that, good stuff.
@@DaveRat Wow. thanks. I'll back off the verb on the vox. I've been a backline tech my whole life, and am just now getting my feet wet playing and recording. Very primitive system so far. My wife never played drums before the pandemic lockdown, and I just recently discovered I can sing and strum at the same time! We're having fun. Thanks for checking it out and the mix advice. Also thanks for all your videos, instructional and entertaining.
Awesome awesome!
Dave, i just came across your channel while searching for PA tuning tutorials. Love your videos, wish i had a chance to learn from you in a live mixing setting or PA tuning projects.
Lots of great toys!
Dave can we get another one of these soon? Always loved this.
👍🤙👍
I used to have a pair of the old KLH speakers.
Cool tour, was also cool to hear Chris Cornell's name..
Very cool!
My like is specifically for the spare PA
Awesome place man! You said it was empty lol. I wonder what it looks like full? Man!
Would love to know more about those Super Subs!
+Rocky X TV We are making progress on a run of 16 supersubs built in Italy. I will visit in 2 weeks to see hopefully the final prototype. Soon after we will have them built and have some specs on them to publish
assume they are a powersoft project ???
+Wolfcy Soundsystem using Powersoft M-force and m-drive in a unique enclosure design that uses internal space much more efficiently than anything else I have seen, while offering extremely high enclosure rigidity and very low weight for a self powered box of this size and output
as soon as I saw the box, scale and know you have been working with powersoft it was pretty obv that this is the next step. good luck, exciting project
Oh my gosh talk about monster warehouse .... this is a adults toy store and more .... Mr. Rat thank you for showing us your place .... I have tinker toys compared to you, my collection starts with (4) EAW MQ1364 mid high cabs (4) MQ1215 (2) EAW KF850zr triamped , and (18) JBL 4645C Subs.... I would love to grow my company as big as yours, but we got to start from somewhere.
Mr. Rat do you use any faital pro raw speakers for replacements in any of your cabs ?
I am also curious with the two sound craft series 5s would you be open to selling one of those units ? I am open for a bigger sound board.
I think they are gone but will look next week
We do not
Yes! build up with quality gear, quality service, honesty and integrity for a successful adventure!
Just like my shed. 🤔🤔🙄
🤙👍🤙
cool man thanks
great video rat.. \m/
Do you remember the Klark-Teknik DN780?
That was my phetish reverb
I have one still
I see thats subs in coachella 🙌🏻
👍
I miss the series 5 and the whole mh series, amazing how cheap you can pick them up now
👍
Nice video letme know if you sale the old gear
Wish that shop wasn't in BFE. That's a hike from San Diego. Hire freelance much? Anyway, wishful thinking. Nice shop, nice success story. I'm sure it didn't happen overnight. Have a funny story about meeting your dad at a jazz fest @ big bear a few years ago.
I’ve always wondered what’s the story behind the ML Procise letter? Would you ever do a video on it?
Ha! I will ponder that. That could be a fun vid
Need me some of them Super Subs!
Nice, enjoyed the tour question have a bunch of old EAW KF 860s and an XTA DP 228 wonder the correct crossover points for the cabs, if you have these sure would help, trying to figure out how to operate the dp 228 any info on cabs or dp 228 would be much appreciated
If you look around on the eaw website I believe there are some downloadable graybox settings for various enclosures and or setup processor settings. For various cabinets I took some searching but I believe it's there somewhere
I wonder if the crossover points for the eaw kf 860 would be the same as a kf 850 as they have the same drivers only the box is like a double kf 850, sure you used these back in the day where did you crossover your kf 850s
Thanks so much for the info
If you ever have k1, or k2 at the shop can you do a comparison?
can tell you're an audio company. no AV in the meeting room!
ROFL
WOW! If someone would step on my console I would immediately stop the show and put the price of a new on on the bill.
Yeah, no shit man. But that artist is an asshole and everyone knows it.
Donate me some of that 18 sound subs....
That warehouse is a speaker heaven
Could you make a video about the SuperSubs please?
I saw a ghost!
😯🔧🔧
Technical question: Looking for a set of replacement woofers for a pair of JBL LX-55s. I've thought about getting them reconed, but I am unsure if they will be returned to factory specs. Is there a better solution?
Reconing by a qualified reputable recone place will bring things right back to original specs
@@DaveRat Thank you so much.
Humn 18Sound, I would love to have some 18Sound stuff for a new home audio project. What kind of horns/waveguides are you using for your nearfield boxes?
+Corrado VRz (CorradoVR6z) Most of my designs use coaxial drivers. For horns I either use no horn or I 3D print a horn.
Hello Dave, can you make a video about the super subs?
Will do, good idea
What happen with the google glass??
I just got dizzy
dave it's bedtime
Man Id shit my fuckin pants.
they build those subs to work faster they dont sell them its for them the subs move faster i think there motorized
Yup powersoft m force subwoofers
The camera is too shaky and it irritate the eyes Rat. next time please make a good video . But I love the video.
👍👍
GIVE ME A JOB...ILL BE THE BEST SOUND GUY YOUVE EVER HIRED lol
You could have went in to the ladies room. missed opportunity, maybe next time.
Big smile
