- I’m tired of eating bite-sized sandwiches at parties, and they definitely don't have homemade mortadella

I will do none of this. Not even a little. But I feel accomplished just by watching YOU make it. Good job us
This video is honestly just a bologna sandwich with extra steps.
lmfaooo.. come on Anthony you might do a little of this one day.
real
😂😂😂 thank you for this.
@@griinchxx6550 it’s mortadella
As a Swede, this felt somewhat close to home. Here in Sweden we have a "dish" called "Smörgåstårta", or "Sandwich cake" in English. It's exactly as it sounds, it's a cake, but also a sandwich. It's pure scandinavian cuisine at it's heart. Loads of weird meats and fish, and also some exotic influenses like some fruits which came to Sweden and was populized during the 80's. I, and most likely every Swedish sub, would LOVE to see you make one!
That sounds fabulous
Lutefisk sandwich!😳
@@ReibahDarling mmmmm
There is an American version of this from the 50s and 60s. It's impressive, albeit not in a good way.
I (not a Swede) would also love to see him make one.
An absolutes beast of a guy for making his own mortadella and on top of that the DETAIL and the choice of extra ingredients literally made it sm more mouth watering. damn you know how to cook!
If you're hosting a SB party and serve this everyone is gonna go crazy for 20 minutes and then be sad you don't have all the little mini interesting bites to snack on after. The sad truth albeit epic sandwich.
Naw, they will only have the sandwich and remember the sandwich. I just did this with Samin Nostrat’s “Big Lasagna”. Oh, the texts from my friends!
Day 37 of asking Josh to start and document a culinary garden.
😅 I would love that
I do food review videos while high af on my CZcams channel broskie
Josh says he has one or two hours of free time a day...seems unlikely he's going to throw down on a garden.
What is a culinary garden
@@SevenHunnid That's completely irrelevant to the comment.
Ah yes, the exact proportions most people build their sandwiches to - 90% bread to 10% filling...
you can never have enough bread
@@PVTParts472 we are in america not russia
@@br3wski and? bread is amazing
@@br3wski Where do u live?
So was this "sandwich".
i love josh and his content and i don't usually agree when people say his recipes are not realistic to make at home but for this sandwich i would have to spend 5.000$ to make it xD , maybe ill just buy it mortadele from wholefoods :P
How will it cost you $5000?
Well I would need a meat grinder , a robot coupe, a souis vide machine and a meat slicer. 😂
@@Cvs1058 🙌
Yeah this has got to be the most ridiculous recipe ever. Impressive, yes. Completely useless, yes.
@@phila5251 just go to a deli like he suggested or slice with a knife
The process behind making this sandwich is as long as the actual Super Bowl lol I’m drooling over here, but man that’s a lot of work
It's sort of like the "sandwich cake" (smörgåsötårta) we do in Sweden, which is a big sandwich decorated with savoury toppings but looks like a cake.
Can you find this at restaurants in Sweden or not really?
Hey, he used real measurements, nice!
Also, I think I'd make this with just turkish bread, toasted lightly under a broiler if you want a single large piece, or in a toaster for individual servings, and done as a single layer sandwich rather than the double for easier consumption. But that does look magnificent!
It doesn’t matter what measurements he used. None of you will ever actually make this
Wow I like how you made this simple.. I like your way of describing things in simple way
Only thing if I would change is use the guanciale fat for the mayo but looks great my man, good job!
You could also not double stack it and have two large but actually manageable sandwiches that might also serve more people.
The lovechild of a muffaletta and a sub sandwich! Beautiful work as always chef!
Tired of spending several hours making many different snacks for the big game? Well here's one recipe for one item that takes DAYS!!!
Joshua Weissman please Make a torta it’s hard to make the meat I like to challenge you
Aint gonna lie ,this Sandwich ,reminds me from the days when i watch Scooby-Doo ,that Sandwich prep time was always great 😂😂
Well, Joshua your recipe is as precise as possible, but I've got one last question: Could you please show us how to make crushed ice from scratch? I mean the real deal?
I know there are ice cube trays that make very small ice cubes? Maybe try those as a substitute?
@@Cvs1058 No, must be water from the mountain source and sculpted to perfection
Grab a nut milk bag or something similar, put in ice cubes, and hammer away. Good luck not waking the neighbours
You always go hard. I love the work you put into this.
Didn't realize Josh was doing a collab with epic meal time for this video :o
All we need now are some BACON STRIPS
Josh: uses "Super Bowl" in video title
NFL: meet our attorneys
Epic Meal Time: "We'll need at least six guys to make a gigantic sandwich."
Josh: "Hold my beer..."
That Pistachio Pesto is straight up making me feel things I never thought I could feel.
Now this is a legendary sandwich.
Your book has arrived Joshua!! Outstanding!! Thank you!
Had the all time best focaccia sandwich in Florence. Hands down, one of the greatest things I've ever tasted
You could turn the top into another sandwich or into some croutons as well! Have a great week bub!
That is The Ultimate Super Bowl Sandwich! Yumm
OMG, I'm mortified that Josh didn't make his own salami for this recipe.
Gotta love a good sandwich
Probably could have gone with just 1.5 focaccias to make it less messy, make some dipping sauce and cut the last .5 into strips, but looks amazing
Or better yet, just make three focaccia loaves and turn them all into sandwiches.
Sounds like someone was inspired by All'Antico Vinaio. Great sandwiches in Florence, Italy. They use Soccacio bread instead and have a delicious truffle spread. El Beatrice is my favorite.
just bought the cookbook!
Where the fuck is that big ass bowl stored LMAOOO
Hey Josh, how about a But Cheaper episode of this sandwich?
Seeing Morty chilling in that ice bath is adorable
Great video. Love the homemade bread.
Josh, you should have done a Philly cheesesteak and ribs to represent the teams in The Big Game! 😂 😂
No less than perfect as expected ❤️
I did get a little sidetracked at the end because of face tattoo guy. I don't think I've seen him in your videos before, but I like the tattoos..
Now that's some serious sandwich. Love it
Pappa: how to make a sandwhich.
Me: YUUUSSS!
Pappa: 48 hours later, you’re now done!
I was trying to figure out where I've seen that sandwich before and then it hit me I made a mini version of it when I worked at a pizza place. Pizza dough in a small bread pan, baked, then cut in half. Top with salami and others pizza meats on top and cheese with special sauce and lettuce. You done chefed the Fuq out of it sir XD
How different would the textures and flavors be for the peppercorns and pistachios if they were included in the hot bath (babish's recipe) comparing to adding as is it like joshua's??
EpicMealTime would be proud of this beauty! Gonna have to try and make it now!
I was wondering if you have ever made potato chips? Not just plain ones but bbq mild and hot, sour cream and onion, cheddar, and salt vinegar. I have been also wanting to try the spices on French fries. I bake my fries in olive oil. It's just a suggestion.
Bro you gotta know no one ever is going to make this😂 but looks damn nice 😮
Killing it Mr Weissman!
He’s papa
We’re past cooking, this is chemistry
This sandwich is worthy of some Epic Meal Time attention
How is this any easier or more convenient than just making multiple recipes?
If you skip the part of making your own mortadella is not that hard.
@@anothertarnishedone5960 true but making the bread is still an insane process for Super Bowl finger food.
Your guests are gonna be too drunk to care about stuff like that.
I love you Papa!
Epic meal time vibes
Josh needs a slicer safety course
If you want maximum bubblyness in the foccia you should let it rise in a proofer @64 for a total of 80 minutes taking it out every 20 minutes to pull the corners into the middle ( do not poke your fingers in this will pop natural air bubbles) and then baking it with a water bath in the oven to get that crispy top from the steam :)
As an Italian you honored every single product of our cusine as always, great job that made me hungry
ultimate for sure, amazing :)
You are a genius I love all your vids
The amount of extra this video was. Love it 💋
He always goes extra for us
If someone ACTUALLY do this sandwich at home, u have all my respect 😮💨
Well you make a single instead of double stack 9:30
in all my years working in kitchens i have NEVER seen such a pristine robocoupe and i.... am uncomfortable 🤣
This reminds me of that absolutely legendary Reddit post where this dude ate half of a giant sub and got mad when his friends called him out on it.
Aside from looking horrendous, that's not one bit realistic for normal people to make. If the point is to make something that's bragging that you have more time and resources to make something elaborate, you've made your point.
This looks so delicious I wish I was eating it. I could pound that back in three days 😃
Merkin rhymes with Gerkin...
Love the sandwich!!
Oooooh, that was one fine looking sandwich! I love the guanciale remoulade idea ... mmmmmmm!
Heh, a recipe all in grams... Eat your heart out, imperial stans :b Gorgeous sandwich, Joshua!
Me watching this if I would ever make this in my life 🗿
He’s back at it again
Definitely going to buy it.
Don't apologise for using grams and joining the civilised World
@@imdaprophet 100% agree
This is a show off video, nobody is going to make it and Josh knows it .
Josh thank you for this gift.
Something you'll never regret, unlike the guy with a scorpion on his face
Hi josh I just bought your cookbook it’s on the way 😊
Goddam, had heart palpitations form just watching you make that beauty. Thank you Papa.
This whole video is just Papa flexin on all of us for 10 minutes
When josh's channel turned to epic meal time
Willy looks likes someone I wouldn't ever leave in my home unattended
When he said "epic proportions" I was immediately brought back to my childhood
When Josh meets Epic Meal Time haha 😅
A great “big game” sandwich!
If I don't do another thing, I'm making that focaccia!
Josh slowly turning into Epic Meal Time😂
Remember when josh used to pop out of kitchen cabinets. ? Manz has come a long way
Excellent
Incredible
Now THAT is some epicMealtime epicness!
How was this not a Matt Stonie collab
Idk I love this man's recipes but I feel like it's over the top home made lmao like it's okay to buy store bought ingredients once in a while
I support this dish and support the great chef.
I should taste test this one
Putting pork directly in the remoulade that's going on a sandwich with even more pork? I think that's how you get an honorary Danish citizenship.
Yay epic meal time
Josh what deli slicer do you use? I’ve been looking into buying one and I figure if it’s good enough for you it’ll serve me well
Man said wow making little things dumb. Oh making one big ass inconvenient thing that you’re gonna have to cut into little things anyway? Hell yeah bro. 😂
was not expecting the Epic Meal Time reboot today
Great to see some representation for remoulade.
Would love to see you test the Ninja Creami
This is 80% bread and 20% of goodies.
That is BUSSIN
Watching this just brought me back to watching Epic Meal Time
