A simple city assault in Mage Knight

- I've been amazed at the creativity happening in the world of board games. You all know I enjoy unique and creative gaming experiences, but I've been focused more on board games lately because of the greater potential for social interaction. This brings us to perhaps the nerdiest game in my collection - Mage Knight: Board Game (not the miniatures game). This game has masterful design, where your hand is basically a puzzle you need to solve each turn. It offers a great sense of development and an ecosystem of equally appealing choices you can make.
But man, the game can get complex. Here's an example of one of the few city assault you'll have to do in any given game. - Hry
You don't block for 8. If an enemy has a brutal ability it means that if you can't block the initial attack, which in this example is 4, you take double damage; here, 8.
Also, unless you had a card, or a tactic card, that allows you to use a second mana die from the source, you can't use two mana dice at the same turn.
I loved that "After 20 minutes of thinking" I just finished a solo city assault against 3 enemies, and my mind is gonna blow.

Yeah, city assaults require tons of preparation. There is so much to consider such moving into the city (mindful of the terrain), what type of city you are assaulting because of the bonus attribute it gives to its defenders (i.e. the poison one for Green City), analyze the enemy stats and attributes, figure a way how your hand cards work against them, utilize properly your units, be mindful of your mana stock and oh, don't forget your acquired skill tokens on how they may help you. This game is a crazy, bamboozling puzzle but I love it nonetheless 😅.

Oh I was wrong about the terrain consideration when moving into a city, it is just a default 2 move whatever terrain its in. You'd be mindful though which city you'll assault first especially if there are more than 1 city core tiles in play because the level they are set are dependent on the order you explore them (i.e. first city found is level 5 I think? And it is guarded by 3 enemies).

Why thank you good sir! I'm sorry for going CZcams-dark, a lot has happened since. No promises for future videos, but I'll do my best to finish what I started :)
One small note. Only physical attacks are poisoned from the green castle. Not any elemental. Or not?
Martin K oooh good point. Which means the cold fire attack didn't poison
The poison effect still apply because there is a poison icon on the monster token.
