Same here, the Progs and the Nether felt like they were cut short in the game they were in due to the ridiculous Time Constraints Insomniac was given for it, I think if it was delayed to be an early PS4 title alongside a PS3 version I think both parties could've gotten what they wanted. Sony wanted to have a few last PS3 exclusives to potentially sell more of that hardware due to the losses they made unveiling the thing, original price point, etc and Insomniac had a big ambition for Into the Nexus which they could only do so much, whatever didn't make the cut and there was a lot that made it into Rift Apart, with what's left being potentially used for the sequel cause dude it's wild.
I wish Courtney Gears, Sasha, Angela, Big Al, Dallas and Juanita return in the next Ratchet and Clank game
Mainly Vendra, Angela & Courtney Gears for me. But I'd definitely take Big Al, considering none of 'em have appeared in the main series for awhile.

I honestly think it's been too long since we seen a lot of the PS2 era Ratchet and Clank characters and they should all return in some way and give them some backstory to fit in with what's been added on top of filling in the amount of time we didn't see them, as well as acknowledge the best and weaker parts of the franchise and build upon it, IG is afraid to bring back Angela Cross due to her being a Lombax, an easy fix is just say she's the result of a failed Lombax Cloning program done by Megacorp and perhaps headed by a Lombax with the name Cross due to Azimuth in ACiT mentioning having some familiarity with a Lombax with that name, so yeah an easy fix there.
It be cool if they made spin off games of Rivet and Kit, like Rivet Deadlocked and Secret Agent Kit
A Rivet & Kit game would be interesting to see!
Or maybe a Rivet & Kit standalone solo game that focuses only on them and develop more to their relationship as the first chapter of their adventure.🤞🏻

@@gerardorodriguez7500It actually is possible to see what rivet would look like in the marauder armor from deadlocked. The anniversary armor pack that came out for free last year includes the marauder armor among others.
@@sirjess007 that actually makes sense and the perfect idea for a Rivet and Kit Spin Off adventure, I'm not sure if Insomniac will do it before Rift Apart 2 or after, I'm betting after, possibly as an epilogue adventure kind of thing if they plan to do it after Rift Apart 2.
If those two happened to come in the next game, we'll be ready.
I knew you were gonna mention Tachyon, cuz he’s been left out of the main story of ratchet and clank since he was defeated in Tools of Destruction. I’m sure the rifts him and Artemia Zog somewhere near where ratchet and clank are at, and I can see him planning stuff out from the spotlight and public eye. If insomniac ever does bring back Tachyon along with Artemis Zog, I would be excited to see where their story goes from after rift apart. It is all just ideas and wondering. Either way, it is fun to think about it

Both Zog and Tachyon teaming up as a means to end, in their case Revenge on Ratchet and Clank and the Lombaxes, not to mention it would instantly give them a reason to bring back Qwark in full force since his rivalry with Zog and Tachyon being the last bad guy he work with that showed more of that Villain side of the PS2 era, it showed less and less as the series went on, you could say he actually grew as a character and became a hero as he always tried to play the part of, aside from Qwark Talwyn would make sense she had some connections to Zog basically being her figure to look up to that stabbed her in the back much like with Ratchet with Azimuth, not to mention the personal stakes that Tachyon brought upon Talwyn, as long as they find the perfect VA to replace Jim Ward as Qwark who can do the character justice due to Ward's health prevented him from reprising his role in Rift Apart, then we're good, the guy they got to play Captain Quantum could do it, he's pretty close.

I think bringing them back would be a great Way to introduce a Rivet and Kit game. Maybe have them try and take over their dimension now that the emperor is out of the picture.

Not to mention the Emperor's Assistant is still active and could be trying to bring back her former boss, imagine her shock to find Tachyon and Zog instead.
Maybe they'd make a complementary duo, where the Emperor is for the army and Zog would handle the finances.
That could work, it's a bit better than just Zogg being Tachyon's servant. Honestly I can't think of much the writers could do with Zogg for a story so I think as a way to build on Tachyon's character, the Cragmite hints that he killed him before getting all of Zogg's info about dimensions and dimensional tech.

For whatever it's worth Artemis Zogg was mentioned in All 4 One. Also even the HUD has a counterpart in the other dimension, which is neat.

This is so cool idk why but is anyone also excited over the idea of Online mode where u can make your own Lombax and do small adventures together?

That being said, there's a big theory going around that Rivet is not Ratchet's counterpart, but she's actually another Lomback sent to another dimension for her own safety, hense what the Lorbs say
I think that makes more sense, dimensional counterparts are a confusing road to go down and I don't think it is path they want to take too much

I was just thinking the same thing and with this being said; I always knew Tachyon is still out there somewhere plotting for his return after Rift Aprt making a huge impact, possibly in the next game to finish what they started, along with this Zog guy.
And we could see an alternate version of Tachyon in Rivet & Kit’s Dimension at some point too after the takedown Emperor Nefarious.👀🤞🏻

I personally really hope we get a new villain that is actually a Lombax for the sequel but one cool way I can see old villians returning is that because the evil Lomabax seems to be unbeatable and a major threat to the multiverse our heroes would have to make a temporary alliance with old villains like Tachyon, Artemis, and Neferious

When I saw the trailer, gameplay of this game I saw the rifts between dimensions I thought maybe ratchet and clank would by mistake visit jak and daxter and sly Cooper world. I say that because on of the weapons conjuresup the actual characters and the objects they use.
A Sly and Jak crossover with a deep story, a dude can dream!
I always wanted them to bring back tachyon he is my second favourite villain in the series thank you vivi for giving me a hope to see that happened but I don’t think they gonna do it

You might as throw in the Nether race as well returning given that their dimension seems to be close in a way to Ratchets universe and could be another layer of havok to the galaxy given that they are incredibly powerful rivaling the Zoni in the bio energy they produce.

Tachyon had everything to be one of the greatest villains in the series. With how he plotted, betrayed and killed so many Lombaxes, I thought he would be a strong foe. But then they tried to make him funny for some reason and I couldn't take him seriously. If he comes back I hope they write him better this time

I think that after Ratchet and Rivet arrive in the lombax dimension those 2 villains will appear and they will face not only Ratchet and Rivet but also the lombax that are there.
I sincerely would like the battle of the next game to be more or less like avengers endgame, which means that all the heroes or allies that Ratchet met in his adventures join him to help him defeat Tachyon and Zog once and for all
I get the feeling that when ratchet and rivet visit the lombax dimension, they might find it in a state of galactic conflict involving two lombax factions.
One wanting to conquer the universe(s) while the other wishes to co-exist peacefully and is fighting for said peace.
Opposing Lombaxes would be very interesting to see! It would also strongly resonate with Ratchet's anxiety surrounding the Lombaxes.
This could definetly be a next game plot. The facts fit so perfectly. But insomniac seems to like to forget things they themselves like Angela....i REALLY hope this isn't the case, that they would accept comics as canon! And do this idea you said, and even see angela again!

Well, if we take Tachyon into consideration, there could be one extra scenario: If they somewhat get into the lombax dimension, either pre-game or in-game, the new lombaxes could be in imminent danger for a second time. Of course, unless they've already developed better technology to deal with threats such as him and alike.
On another note, my guess is that in the next game - whether we finally visit the lombax dimension or not - there'll be zero lombax bosses, and that'd make perfect sense, considering that they're the ones we're supposed to save
There could possibly be rogue Lombaxes who will think that because Tachyon is still alive and that there's other threats the only way the Lombaxes could deal ever feel safe is to basically takeover the Multiverse and execute their enemies giving a huge obstacle for our heroes to overcome

But as for what could happen one would think Tachyon's first order of business would be personal. If the next game really is going to finally close the loop on the lombax story then I see no better way to do it than with the villain that started to whole thing. As for Zogg, I don't see him on the same level of hate-fueled villainy as Tachyon and I think redemption would be possible for him (if it was possible for Vendra it's possible for anyone). But with Tachyon's knowledge of Lombax weaponry combined with Zogg's genius planning and vision... These two have the potential to be the biggest threat in the franchise.

From what i remember, a lot of fans didn't seem to like Tachyon as a villain/character so i wonder if Insomniac would bring him back in that regard. Not to mention a bunch of new fans don't know him. Another alternative to this could simply be introducing a new Cragmite character. This could also help to avoid a bunch of baggage from past events.
New Craigmite character sounds pretty sweet! If Tachyon were to ever return, flashbacks or some sort of summary would be very helpful.
Tachyon while not a remarkable villain on his own is objectively very important to what happened to the Lombaxes, completely ignoring him does more harm than good.
My suggestion is to play into his established personality but this time based on his current situation. As before he had an army at his command using lombax tech and underestimated both R&C but now that Zogg is the one in charge this situation can humble him and could turn into a mild change in character making him more of a threat by realizing his own flaws and how his only advantage was using technology he never created.

I'd love to see Zogg and Tachyon work together! I expect they argued for a while, but they eventually came to a truce to take out Ratchet. From there, I figure whatever plan they have, they both mutually plan on double crossing the other, so its just a matter of who falls first.

I'd love if Artemis and Tachyon return in the next game. Ratchet's anxieties about meeting the Lombaxes would be realized if he accidentally led Tachyon right to their hiding spot.

I'm honestly in the camp of Rift Apart's events being isolated to just effecting Ratchet & Rivet's dimensions. Given that appears to be all we get to see in the overall game. So the chances of Tachyon, Zogg, or even the Nethers returning because of Rift Apart's events, might be kinda slim.
Sure, I've seen somewhere that Rift Apart contained 3-versions of the same location. So there might've been a 3rd dimension involved along the way. Even still, it's all up to the writers & where Insomniac wants to take the story in the next title.
Heck, if Nefarious even returns in the next game. What I'd love to see is Nefarious and, let's just say Tachyon. Trying to compete for dominion over the dimension or galaxy, with the duo caught in the middle of an all-out war between the two. Maybe even have some familiar foes (I'm imagining Vendra of all characters) teaming up with the duo, similar to the Goons-4-Less in Rift Apart. All that would be pretty interesting, considering most of the series' main villains are the head of everyone else in each title. But never conflicting on that big of a scale. It'd be SO cool!
Definitely up to the writers and I can't wait to see what they have next in store.

For all we know Lombaxes became more brutal and Cynical as the younger generation have give birth to the new idea of losing your home to ONE being is unacceptable.
I mean, it would be nice to have a twist and even if the two villains come back, they would not be the biggest villain, or even killed for the reveal of the Lombaxes being the main villains in possible a new story arc and such.
Ah, but only time will tell.
I got a subplot about that next game that I think you'll enjoy.
While Tachyon is the main antagonist of the Lombax dimension game, he will have a secret alliance with a Lombax that has been "helping" Ratchet and co. throughout the game. The Lombax is secretly xenophobic and resentful of other races believing they barely helped in the Great War or thinks they never respected the Lombaxes enough, and strongly believes that the Lombaxes (including AU Lombaxes) should forever stay in the Lombax dimension and never return to their home dimensions. He believes this so much that he aides Tachyon by not only keeping the war between the Lombaxes and evil forces going but also assisted in making Tachyon's devices that makes all Dimensionators and similar tech from working in the Lombax dimension, except for the Cragmite's personal machines.
''Evil Lombaxes'' is something I've kept in mind for a very long time! I always think back to Ratchet saying: ''what if they're not what we're expecting''... that could be cool foreshadowing.
Yes! Tachyon should DEFINITELY come back in a future Ratchet & Clank game, or even games! Not only are the events of Rift Apart a good excuse to bring him back after all this time, but it would also be a great chance for the writers to redo his character as though he is one of the biggest threats Ratchet and Clank have ever dealt with AND the reason why Ratchet's Lombaxes left their dimension, he was lame and underutilized in Tools of Destruction. Though I could see Tachyon learning a few things from Zogg (especially about dimensional stuff) I don't see them teaming up unless Zogg is like a servant of his or Tachyon got rid of him at some point, which could add to Tachyon's character. That's not to say I'm against team ups as I have an idea for a story where Tachyon teams up with Dr. Nefarious when the latter is hired to help deal with Ratchet and Clank.
Tachyon is perfect for the fan favorite Lombax Dimension game idea as I could see Tachyon coming up with a plan where with his info on dimensions and dimensional tech (maybe he also remembers stuff about the Dimensionator, I mean he was skilled enough to build the robot pirates) he goes to the dimension and uses devices that makes any Dimensionators or similar tech in that dimension inoperable, besides the Cragmite's own tech. This traps the Lombaxes and anyone who goes there, giving him and his army (which could consist of new and old enemies like the Drophyds, Cragmites, and maybe Nethers if Tachyon did some dimensional exploring while experimenting) the chance to wipe the Lombaxes out.

I've had this thought for a long time! I'm going to be mildly disappointed if they don't take the chance to bring back Tachyon in the game that could potentially put a definitive end to the Lombax arc (until that happens, ItN is what I consider the proper ending to the series).
