RANE FOUR ISSUES..HELP!!

- Having channel fader problems. Can someone comment and help or is this a unit to be sent in for repairs? No liquids were ever spilt and the unit is in near perfect condition. I feel this is not normal for Rane..Or is it?

All the issues I have seen is why I don't have one, I really really want to like the rane 4 , it's got the features.... but this keeps me from clicking the buy now button... I really hope new performer is truly a performer, and maybe even a serviceable fader bay...
I may just end up biting the bullet and getting a Rev7, but that means a couple places where I'd have a bit less of what I am looking for in my kit/workflow....like trying out stems... and I think I like the effects section on the Rane more...
I could definitely get down with a Rev7 though, and the features it has.... for now I keep on rocking the MC7000 and watching what is coming and how people get on with the newer kit ... so glad my MC7000 has been a total workhorse for me ...

Hey man love your videos and honest reviews keep them coming also thx for sharing this I’m having the same problem with my four as well I took it out for a gig this weekend for the first time and experienced the same thing hopefully I can get it serviced I bought it a little over a year ago and never took it out so yes I’m a little disappointed that this happened.
Thank you so much. I try to keep my reviews honest. I actually love the rainforest so with any other piece of equipment I get I have to revisit it after I let it go through its paces. I understand that every piece of gear can't be bulletproof but it's not just about bulletproof but if the company will stand behind their product if something does go wrong. I have to say that fix the problem extremely fast after I contacted them.
Mine is doing the same thing! Channels are fading out and the gain volume is also messed up on channel 2 where i have to tap the top in order to get the volume back up. This is what my guitar center rep told me.
RANE warrants the Rane FOUR against defects in material or workmanship for a period of two (2) years. You can receive an additional year of warranty for a total of 3 years by registering your product on the Rane website.
El aceite que traía el controlador soluciona eso , me sucedió después de ir a tocar a un jardín lleno de tierra al siguiente evento me falló le eche ese lubricarte solo cuantas gotas , llevo más de 20 shows sin problema alguno , si presenta fallas que si somos poco curiosos es fácil solucionarlas !.

Unfortunately quality control is affecting everything these days not just DJ gear however I’ve heard so many issues w/the Rane Four. Rane = InMusic brand and I just don’t trust it. Never been a fan of Rane. I don’t care about Rane’s all metal design. Plastic Pioneer just works 🤷🏻♂️

Mines had problems to with the Up Feder
I'v had Denon MC7000, it has same problem. What I descovered, this problem wasn't with old version f/w, but if you update to lataest, problem acure.
So sad, In Music make a robust looking stuff, but shit inside.
Pioneer DJ make plastic controllers but very robust
Rane Performer with 4 channels and moving platters was just leaked in the Superbowl this weekend as well! Ouch! At least it was a 4 channel mixer, so you can just use the other channels just in case this happens again.
That's what I had to do.
My unit has problems with BOTH upfaders. Really sad as im a big rane supporter.

I had the same issue and sent mine back to RANE and they replace it with a brand new one Thus far no issues with the new one
Same thing happen to me I sprayed it with fader oil I bought from Amazon a month ago and it stop doing it I don know if it will work for you but it did for me

I AM USING a 2015 Macbook Pro… AND owns RANE 4 and Not One Problem WhatSoEver????🎉😅, All the Complaints???? The Buffering Happens…. But i guess The One TB’ Terrabyte…. keeps me Going…. But No ISSUES with… RANE 4 At ALL!!!!!!!!! and Their Are DJ’s… here Who Own Brand Too!!!!!! and No PROBLEMS….. So hey Its you Guys Choice???????… Buy or Not Buy???? oh Well!!!!!!!
I was gonna buy it but too many ppl complained, so I went with DDJ FLX 10

I heard rane doesn’t repair stuff out of warranty anymore they will refer you to an independent shop
I have exactly the same problem with my RANE 4 now, channel 1 upfader cuts the volume which touching it sometimes, hugely annoying. Sad thing is that my RANE ONE right LP/HP filter did the same thing, just shorts out when using it, i thought I was just unlucky, so im interested to see that others are having the same issue. Mine is still in warrenty but its a huge hassle to pack it up and send it back. If any one has any vids on how to fix this please let me know!
Mine had the same issue with volume fader 1. I brought it back to the shop, waiting for the repairs.

The store (storeDJ) I purchased the unit from gave me a replacement. In Australia you cannot contact RANE, you have to go through the store which the unit was purchased from.
They sent it to RANE. They couldn't mimic the issue. After a month of RANE having the unit. Store DJ sent me a replacement.

Can you make a video talking about the service of Rane after repair your controller? I heard that this controller comes with problems but Rane usually repair it quickly

My Rane never had issues, but check the firmware and serato version
@@GetYourDJNOW firmware is up-to-date and it just sounds like the fader is going out and is cracking. I keep having to nudge it to get it to come on full volume.
@DJDUMusic check usb cable also, I had issues with old cable. There should be bad noise removal by both sides of cable, check USB-C slot
Tried 2 different 😮DJ Tech Tools Chroma Cables and still same issue. I’m also a certified audio engineer and it’s definitely a hardware issue and I think the fader is just going bad. It’s only on one side. Left channel
THE CHANNEL Pioneer Valley DJs had his whole unit shut down
I returned 4 rane 4 controllers because of jog wheels slipping they replaced all of them I had enough now I have the pioneer it’s excellent

I was happy with mine until now…I’ve had it for about 6 months now and all of a sudden it won’t record…smh…been doing blends since I got it…

Let me tell you something when you take it apart your going to see the way they ground the circuit boards it’s not very good idea in my opinion. Also I retighten all the screws on the circuit boards as they were not even snug because they rely on grounding .I had a left platter issue after cleaning all the ground spots on the bottom cover it almost is 100 percent but not there yet . You could also have a ground issue from that channel there is no telling. I’m not happy with the quality as well I do love the unit but damn Be careful with the screws you remove cause some are different so pay good attention where they go .

Damn dawg you going that rough on your faders? Have you tried taking care of your shit? You treat any faders like that you'll get a short
Whats funny I barely even use cross faders. When I first saw the DJ I couldn't afford a mixer with cross fader so I barely use mine so I don't think I go too hard on them. lol
@@DJDUMusic dude, you were pressing the fader to side so hard you were likely breaking contact. No fader is going to survive that abuse. If you're doing that to content farm I can't imagine you doing anything in the way of handling dirt on your gear. The controller even comes with a small thing of lube that works as a conductor that if used would fix this.
@@DJDUMusic also, I'm a house guy I don't ever use cross faders my self. If there was a rotatory mod I'd have dollars for it
Faders are meant to be used and a performance mode. I have 17 different mixers and never had a fader issue. Certain models there's pro level faders and normal faders because they are tested to a higher standard.
That can happen to all Controllers! That has nothing to do with ranes build quality!
No there equipment I own has that happened.

And Poor Build Quality!!!!!!! that was in 2018, and One DJ on here he is Enjoying his!!!!! and Roland is known for Producing Equipment,👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Glad Somebody is Happy … but No Roland For me!!!!!! 😅, knobs Fell Off and Everything …. Rushed it To Guitar Center FAST😮💨🤣, My Rane4 is Working Great!!!!!! Only controller i owns… Other THAN… 1200’s Technics MK7’s, All is Well with That Equipment!!!!!!!…. Happy DJ life to ALL!!!!!!! …..
Anyone having problems with the jogs? Mine on the right side, at times it doesn't respond, I try to pull it back and forth and the music keeps playing! Does anyone know a solution? Send it to Rane?
