Your tiny spoon is a salt spoon. There used to be salt cells instead of shakers like little bowls full of salt and they used tiny spoons to spread it over their food. 😊

I love the little amber bottle and would love the one of the cream vessels to hold my special crystals and rock treasures. I love how you two spend time together. My father and I were stone sculptors and would talk rocks together and often go out rock hounding for materials to sculpt. He passed away a few years ago and I miss our times together. I hope you will continue to nurture your fun times and beautiful adventures.

It’s always fascinating watching treasure hunters use their spades and tools to uncover such fragile items. I’m just captivated as these awesome items are shoveled from the earth and not shattered in the extraction process. I’ve never been digging, mudlarking or metal detecting, but it really is a joy and a quite a thrill to watch as these items are brought back from history for a new and much admired life among the living. Thanks for taking us along.

Loved the prickly pipe bowl and that gorgeous brown dairy cream pot. Tip Larking is going to get a bit tricky from now with the nettles and brambles springing up everywhere. I cannot believe that you went to a dump and played in the dirt with a white shirt and didn't get it dirty. Love you both so much and your accent and very different from your dads. I can just see all the melties on strong string dangling from a beam with a bit of wind to know them about like the knocking about is what caused them to look that way. @@Mudpies we go over to Arkansas to the mines to dig quartz crystal and we have also gone to Crater of diamonds to mine diamonds as well no luck at the diamond mine though. My next trip is to Nevada to mine turquoise it's what I like to pair the silver jewelry with. I love that your mom works with that lovely glass and tile , plate bits. When I first seen u guys I asked if you had thought about using those bits for jewelry I'm so happy your doing that!! It's wearable art my friends. ❤️
I've been enjoying your recent ventures into the Victorian landfill area, and wishing you all the luck in the world. I particularly loved the torpedo bottle, and after seeing it cut down - I think it would make a lovely vase. You just have to find a proper base to rest it on. Perhaps the next time you are on the foreshore, keep your eyes peeled for something metal that could serve as a cradle of sorts. Good luck and keep digging for treasure!

Was waiting for the beers to come out of the backpack when you were talking about having a brew LOL. Still not as bad as some of the other videos from UK youtubers where I have to replay it a few times and then try to come up with an approximation of what the #*&$ the person just said while out detecting! Always fun to watch all the amazing history being found and great finds again!

It’s a good idea to get hold of a 1m stopcock key, cut the end off, then you’ve got a probe to push down into the ash and see if there’s resistance (good), or not (bad). Also, check the edges of the tip - most bottle diggers tend to leave them and they can be jammed with treasures! Finally, look out for different coloured layering. If there aren’t layers, there’s a strong chance it has been dug already. Andy - that’s a very good spade you’ve got there - strong and perfect for getting through those roots! Happy hunting guys! Was waiting for the beers to come out of the backpack when you were talking about having a brew LOL. Still not as bad as some of the other videos from UK youtubers where I have to replay it a few times and then try to come up with an approximation of what the #*&$ the person just said while out detecting! Always fun to watch all the amazing history being found and great finds again!

It’s a good idea to get hold of a 1m stopcock key, cut the end off, then you’ve got a probe to push down into the ash and see if there’s resistance (good), or not (bad).
Also, check the edges of the tip - most bottle diggers tend to leave them and they can be jammed with treasures!
Finally, look out for different coloured layering. If there aren’t layers, there’s a strong chance it has been dug already.
Andy - that’s a very good spade you’ve got there - strong and perfect for getting through those roots!
