The Heartbreaking Decline of Ansu Fati?

Ansu Fati(according to Transfermarket) has missed an estimated 486 days of football due to injuries and subsequent fitness issues.
When he burst on to the scenes several years ago at only 16 years old, many quickly touted him as the future of FC Barcelona.
He was even compared to the greatest player in Barcelona's history, Lionel Messi. However, injuries have derailed his career. He's spent more time off the pitch than he actually has on it. All the expectations people had for him accompanied with compounded pressure both from his injuries layoffs and the inheritance of Messi's number 10 shirt has quickly altered his career trajectory.
Reports that Barcelona are willing to offload players has made everything even worse as many are suspecting that he would one of them.
So how did Fati go from future superstar to partially undesirable in only the space of less than three years?

Watched every Ansu Fati’s game since his debut. Yes he is young and has talent, however I hope I’m wrong but I think he will never meet that potent he had when he was 16.

Fati reminded me of when I fell in love with football, I was watching Ronaldinho as a kid and I just fell in love with the sport, besides messi my passion and desire for someone to succeed has never been stonger than it is with ansu, going to some of the games he scored in, the crowd adored him, cheer his name whenever he warms up or comes on, it will be a dark day if we sell ansu

A lot of fans forget that these professional players are people.
Ansu is a boy and that series of injuries, surgeries, relapses will add the pressure of being at a big club, of wearing the #10.
I think his issues are mostly psychological. Hopefully we don't have to sell him and he recovers mentally as well as emotionally and physically.

Barca fans listen...lets inject him with confidence rather bring him down, understand that this injure issues is huge stumbling block, he needs confidence, support now more than ever...this season is the first season back to fitness

Sometimes i feel like he will never comeback to what he was, because if injuries can make players slower, less agile… then i think Ansu’s body is really damaged, but it could be all psychological which what i’m hoping it is, let’s wait and see what will happen with him because honestly i want him back firing like before more than ever now.

Ansu Fati is a talented player but with the same injury curse as Robben and Reus. I would gladly take Fati at Manchester United but fitting him will be a problem with Rashford, Garnacho and Sancho in the squad. Injuries are not his fault though.

They were playing hot potato with the number 10 shirt and unfortunately for him. He didn’t know any better and took it. He wasn’t ready. Barca haven’t been protecting him and looking out for him as they should have. Playing in Barca B would have served him well I think.
