Try lending you friend The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I’m 51 and that was one of the first books I read a couple years ago when I wanted to start reading, fast paced easy to read, and really kept me interested. I think it’s great that you are putting so many books in the little free library at the high school. I’m sure they have a library in the school, but with so many school districts being forced to take certain books off the shelf, who knows if they have anything that the teens want to read. Your husband is incredibly thoughtful!

I am closer to 40 yrs old and I would recommend Abby Jimenez books to my girlfriends. A Part of your World and Yours Truly(both 5 star books for me). I do like a bit of spice and small town romances. I hope this helps.

If I could recommend a series for your friend? It's called The Never after series by Emily McIntire . Its fractured retellings of childhood classics like Peter pan. BUT they are thrillers with dark romance. A lot of smut but the plot was a page turner for me. I read the whole series and they were really good.

I would like to see the video of you going through your shelves, getting rid of what you rated 3 stars and below, those books you do not vibe with. Then you have room to accumulate all the rest of your books all over your home and use certain shelves as your tbr for the month or the months leading up till Summer.
