As someone who owns that exact Quanba arcade stick, I can tell you it fits a majority if the popular joysticks in the scene. It has sanwa buttons and a joystick which a majority of arcade sticks use, and it fits most other joysticks if you devide you want to swap it out. All he had to do was take 2 seconds to google what is compatible with his arcade stick to find that out.
I watched a guide on youtube that explained how easy it is to change the stick to pretty much any brand of stick (including Hori), once again DSP is just doing everything wrong and refuses to look anything up

Some people enjoy them, but most people either rock Sanwa, Seimitsu or an Etokki stick because of their quality. Hori's parts aren't actually used in the arcade space, Seimitsu and Sanwa parts are. Hayabusa/Kuro (hori) parts are only made for consumer devices. I think Kuro buttons are pretty good though. Never liked Hori sticks though, they've always made subpar sticks.

The stick can be swapped out. Qanba takes standard joysticks. It's just the Hori stick he's trying to stuff in it is proprietary - that's the issue lol.
I have both the original Qanba and the Qanba 2 and they are both extremely well-made products. The Qanba 2 took me about a half hour to replace the buttons, stick and artwork -- extremely easy. The included parts are well made Sanwa buttons and a JLF joystick, so any changes necessary are usually for cosmetic reasons. I stand by the quality of these sticks, although they are a bit expensive.
This is the same guy that has multiple broken window blinds because he thinks putting up new ones is too hard. He also has no clue how to do any maintenance on his Toyota Corolla. So I'm definitely not surprised he has issues with replacing a joystick.

Why would a company want to make another companys hardware work with their product? It would destroy any hope of spare parts sales. Especially if their hardware is inferior.
Itâs like a premium fight stick too, why would they expect people to pay top dollar for it, and then pop out the parts?
As someone who owns that exact Quanba arcade stick, I can tell you it fits a majority if the popular joysticks in the scene. It has sanwa buttons and a joystick which a majority of arcade sticks use, and it fits most other joysticks if you devide you want to swap it out. All he had to do was take 2 seconds to google what is compatible with his arcade stick to find that out.

The narrow shape Qanba one is standard, the Hori is proprietary. So he's pissed at Qanba for not accepting a proprietary brand's unique shape of joystick.

@@Garcher2099 as someone who's used both, the Sanwa JLF is just better than the Hayabusa. It feels more responsive because the travel time is shorter.
â@@Garcher2099I've always found Hayabusa sticks have a hollow weightlessness feeling to them, they also have a jitteriness to them which is probably caused my the low tension spring that is stock on most Hayabusa sticks. Sanwa JLF is basically the gold standard for quality and price

@@Garcher2099 I personally don't like them. I take them out of every fightstick they come in. In my opinion the deadzone is a little wider, the joystick is much looser feeling. Some people enjoy them, but most people either rock Sanwa, Seimitsu or an Etokki stick because of their quality. Hori's parts aren't actually used in the arcade space, Seimitsu and Sanwa parts are. Hayabusa/Kuro (hori) parts are only made for consumer devices. I think Kuro buttons are pretty good though. Never liked Hori sticks though, they've always made subpar sticks.
It's really silly that companies don't make all the components of their products interchangeable with those of their competitors.

I do fightstick and hitbox builds, anyone who knows about this stuff knows you should look up how moddable a fightstick is, like you should understand which parts are compatible before you buy it, no one buys a stick and just expects it to be able to be modded with no research, one single search would have saved so much waste smh, this is supposedly someone who has done this for twice as long as me, its just pathetic and wasteful

Either way, what kind of person doesn't do proper research on something that costs $300 before buying it? Surely there's a review highlighting that the stick itself can't be swapped out? The stick can be swapped out. Qanba takes standard joysticks. It's just the Hori stick he's trying to stuff in it is proprietary - that's the issue lol.
I have both the original Qanba and the Qanba 2 and they are both extremely well-made products. The Qanba 2 took me about a half hour to replace the buttons, stick and artwork -- extremely easy. The included parts are well made Sanwa buttons and a JLF joystick, so any changes necessary are usually for cosmetic reasons. I stand by the quality of these sticks, although they are a bit expensive.
they are fine products but you can get custom made for roughly the same price.
This is the same guy that has multiple broken window blinds because he thinks putting up new ones is too hard. He also has no clue how to do any maintenance on his Toyota Corolla.
So I'm definitely not surprised he has issues with replacing a joystick.
