- The Lexus LC Inspiration Series is one of the most unique grand touring sports cars you can buy. The 2020 LC 500 is powered by a 5.0 litre V8 engine and combines impeccable ride quality with genuinely sporty dynamics. Plus, the LC 500 Inspiration Series has a green over tan colour combination that we think looks great. In this video, a review of the 2020 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series, Tom drives the special edition Lexus, looking into its dynamics, luxury, practicality and value for money.

What do you think of the Lexus LC? Would you buy the hybrid model instead of the V8? Does these colours work for you? Do you prefer a German luxury coupe instead?

Aston Martin that actually starts every time.
Lol, true
😆😆
What Aston Martin dreams to be ... you mean.
It's a Lexus why say it's an Aston Martin when it's not??? Much better car , cheaper and more reliable than an Aston.
@@richardw5375 That’s what I’m saying
Green and tan looks SO FREAKING GOOD
Lexus please produce all your cars like this one with the same philosophy, noise, and driver oriented. Not just once and then nothing for years but the consistency in the lineup and years .
That would be nice. I think they’re getting closer to that point.
With the exception of hybrid, of course, which isn’t about noise naturally.
You realize that's the opposite of what most of their customers want right? Old ladies don't don't care about horsepower, want something that's dead quiet, and don't want to drive much at all.
@@flakgun153 Lexus customrs are not just old ladies.that's not true at all .i know lot of much younger poeple who bought Lexus.
@@flakgun153 Except for one single 74 year old lady who leased a new LC from Serramonte Lexus, Colma, CA who said, "I deserve the best."
It's absolutely beautiful.
Agreed. Especially in this colour combination.
The special edition in a unique blue that tents to green, like the water in a lagoon. And the two tones combination (white/orange) for the interior, with some elements in night blue with white stiching, looks absolutely gorgeous. 😍
Great review Tom. What a stunning car. Must be one of the best looking cars on the market.
Thanks, Andrew! Agree - a stunning design that translated from concept car to road car perfectly
Yes it is a gorgeous car... I had it for over a years now and Im still falling in love with it every day.😘
OMG , this color combination is beautiful. What an interior\exterion combo! Love it!
It’s lovely, isn’t it.
Wonderful. Love the look and that color combo just bounces.
The green and tan set each other off well.
gorgeous. love that shade of leather in combination with the exterior paint too. this is a future classic.
this is actually the most sensible GT in the market, its got stunning exterior and luxury interior, also the sound is simply the best in the industry right now with that NA v8. I know it's not fast and forocious, but why do you need your car to be so fast when the speed limit is 100km/hr and being a gt coupe, comfort is way more important. I would put this on par with the much more expensive S class coupe, which I also consider to be one of the best in the business. I will never consider an aston martin a proper gt car.
Tom, you keep hitting it out if the park - much to the delight of your viewers.
Thanks also for some insightful views and useful nuggets of knowledge we wouldn’t otherwise obtain without a substantial time investment - I particularly liked the comparative comments in relation to the RC-F.
Thank you - I appreciate you watching and am glad you see the value in the content.
Oh this thing is just absurdly beautiful, and what a paint job.
Isn't it amazing?
Chasing Cars yeah. He just said it is.
Dream car and honestly can’t wait for LCF which is rumoured to have over 600 hp
That would be something really special!
If it's still over 4000lbs its a waste for its rumored 200k+ price tag.
@@carboydorifutoparty3976 But when the turbo comes out, the used prices for this normally aspirated car here are going to come down into bargain territory. Reminds me of my old 1990's 300ZX 2 seater.
@@markedwards7721 if it can't keep up with its competition then there's no point

Breath takingly beautiful
Awesome job on the color correcting. Nice lut. What format did you film in and did you correct in resolve, or some other NLE. Great job. Looks great and really works with the theme colors of the car. A pleasure to watch.
Great Video Review. A great looking Coupe
Thanks, Jamie! Yes, the LC is quite the looker.
Really great review I respect the quality and how professional you are. #dreamcar for sure
Thanks for watching!
I'm definitely going to get one of these...in about 12 years. Something to strive for.
Agreed, Michael!
Excellent review. This car is perfection.
Thanks for watching.
Stellar video! What video equipment do you use to film?
G'day Tom, thanks for the review! Excellent! Have you driven the four wheel steering version of the LC? If so, would you buy the standard car or pay the extra for four wheel steering?
Thanks.
I've had mine for 9 months and every time you drive it it makes you feel special.
What colour did you go for, Simon?
@@chasingcars infrared...with black interior..
Fantastic car! I want one. Also Tom Baker is one of the best motor press car reviewers out there
Nice review!
Thanks, Leigh! I appreciate your kind words. -Tom
Nice review and the car is beautiful.
Thanks a lot, AZ.
One of the most beautiful cars on planet earth.
Nori Green is a great looking color. Saw it in person at the Chicago Auto Show. I still like my 2019 LC500 Atomic Silver better.
Two lovely colours.
very evotive. Thank You
I heard there were only 10 of these special editions in Australia. You’re a lucky guy to get to drive one!
Very lucky indeed.
Gorgeous GT car, love the NA V8 Dandy review
It’s a lovely car. Thanks for watching.
One of the best sports car ever made period expecially this green color
Nice review Tom. This is one of the most stunning car designs of modern times. I would not buy any of it’s German competitors because I value reliability. The V8 would be awesome. I would prefer a brighter colour, maybe the Sonic Silver or the Sonic Titanium. My only criticism would be the infotainment and while not a deal breaker Lexus really need to up their game in this department. This car is definitely on my shopping list if I win the lotto! Cheers
I love those liquid-like silver colours as well, Eamonn.
am 16 and this is my dream car n i already have my mind set on getting this car in the next 5-10 years ....on my word imma get this car even if its the last thing i do
I hope that dream comes true!
@@chasingcars i definitely will .... i will thx tho
One of the few cars I dream of
Beautiful
Isn’t it!
The filming location. Home and Away ?
Awesome video and presentation! I would just recommend not using slow motion if you arent shooting in higher frames. It makes the video appear cheap if we are going from 24 frames a second to like 12. It looks choppy and breaks the immersion. I had to pause the video multiple times to confirm something wasn' t wrong with my computer/loading the video.
How good is the ground clearance?
What a beauty! 😱
Love the car reviews. There is nothing worse than a presenter who totally ruins a car review, and fortunately this guy does an awesome job. Please keep the tone and style coming.
Much appreciated, and will do.
Amazing car. This is the nicest Lexus ever built
That sound soooooo good.
I know. It makes an awesome noise!
What a goddamn stunning, slick, beautiful and futuristic car, the interior is absolutely gorgeous as well, so simplistic and so mature. Really great and nicely shot video guys love the colour coding and cinematography, as a casual photographer in honestly very impressed! Great review as usual guys, fantastic camera and shooting work guys keep up the hard work love this mans personality and his voice is so soothing lmao 😂😂🙏🙏
My current all time favorite car
High praise!
@Vinny Booboo All-time just means "up until that point", because who the hell can predict the future?
Allow me to repeat, It's an absolutely beautiful road machine.
Totally agree.
What About exhaust pipes are they fake or real tips
Dream car
Surely, along with the Jaguar F-Type and Infiniti Q60, this is one of the most beautiful premium sports coupes on the road. Nice video treatment, too.
True. If only the Q60 drove as well as it looked…
The Q60 is not a premium sports coupe
The Q is crap. I'm surprised you'd put it in the same sentence as the LC.
@@christschool I think this is only in terms of looks. It truly is disappointing when compared to how good it looks.
Lexus make cars that make you drool 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
A total beast. Only Toyota could have made such masterpiece.
wish there was some wood grain in the interior. miss seeing that on luxury cars. really helps to accent and enhance the cabin imo
Agree, that would be very tasteful.
This or the RCF ? Price independent
Totally trading my GSF for one
Two seat cars.
Seems the younger design engineers have returned to their collective senses with this color combination. Green and saddle tan have always been the classic color combination, add a walnut dash accent and it's 1970 all over again!
I, for one, welcome the return of the 1970s in that case!
And who didn’t like the 70s
is this available in Australia? need one!
I'm not sure if there are any of the green/tan Inspiration Series remaining for sale, but you can buy the standard LC 500 new.
Love this car. Wonder if the dealership would accept my 2006 Toyota Corolla as trade-in.
IN LOVE!
Same!
It’s a beautiful car and yeah I’m a big green and brown leather fan. If only money was no object
If only!
Tom,how do you compare the overall driving experience of this to the GSF ?
I
The GS F is also a great grand tourer - but the rigidity of the LC is considerably greater thanks to that new platform, so the cornering behaviour is better in this vehicle.
Chasing Cars there are only a few car reviewers on CZcams I know that makes replies to their viewers and you are one of those few. This is a huge factor to what I cherish about this channel along with the in depth and coherent review. Huge respect to you sir. (Srsly, that LC500 is literally out of this world lol.)
Doesn't CC Stingray have a naturally aspirated V8 too?
That vehicle isn’t sold in Australia, sadly
You get used to the track pad. I always think it would be far better in LHD markets as you'd be able to use your right hand to control it.
Indeed a good looking car.
Agreed
Beautiful people, nice cars
This is sooo much better than my RC 350
Both good cars, but agree the LC is on another level entirely…
Im buying this car this year in flare yellow when I hit the lottery I affirm it believe it receive it INTENTION decreed/set
LC 500 is so much better than anything in its price range (and alot higher) it's beyond comparison. In 10 years these will still be an attainable proposition, a European equivalent will be a write-off because of something that has broken that costs more to replace than the car is worth.
Its too expensive for what it is in its price range. They need to be 60k not 100k. By that price point people aren't looking for reliable cars like the LC for that price when they can just get a used ISF or a RCF for cheaper.
Gorgeous! But the depreciation make me doubt the price
Sure, though that is always the case for any expensive luxury car
Does Barry Manilow know that you raid his wardrobe?🤣🤣🤣
Niche breakfast club ref but I’ll allow it
Chasing Cars just cuttin up man. Good review.👌🏽
Thanks!
Tom, is the sunroof the same as the RCF??
No sunroof
@@weeeeeeee945 Not an opening one, but a fixed glass roof with interior sunshade
This Lexus looks nice it has to be a Nori Green or a Highland Green color not sure.
Did Lexus discontinued the Hybrid version?
No, the LC500h hybrid remains available, including in Inspiration Series trim.
Lexus really knocked if off the park with the LC. Beautiful a car. I wish they would've used the LC's platform and turbo v6 for their Supra but I understand that people aren't ready to pay 80k+ for a grand touring Toyota Supra. Oh well.
Very thoughtful comment. I also would have liked to have seen it, but reality is reality.
The V6 isn't tunable nor is a engine for power so it wouldn't have cut it any way. And they wanted a decent chassis that would be good for a sports car and the LC's wouldn't have cut it since its soft and heavy nor could it support a i6.
@@carboydorifutoparty3976, I can't comment on the tunability capabilities of Lexus/Toyotas turbo V6 because it's still a pretty new. It also lacks tuners wanting to get their hands on one. I think anything can be tuned depending if the demand is there. Have you driven a LC? They don't feel soft? I agree that it's heavy and even cutting all the unnecessary luxury features that the LC comes with would probably still leave a somewhat heavy car. It's still achievable. Toyota just didn't want to spend the resources and time to do it. Just look at how long the LCF is taking. I also know that people wouldn't like the idea of a Supra without an inline six that costs as much as a GTR. Rebadging and slightly tuning a Z4 was the better option at the end.
@@Sarcastic_Asmodeus if Toyota leaves the LCF with it still being 4000+lbs it's a waste of both that new V8 and 200k. Weight is literally what's killing Lexus well and rwd Lexus at this point.
"This is a serious donk", indeed it is Tom. Grab it while you can, not long for this (emissions regulated) world.
As Richard "Hamster" Hammond said of the Lambo Murci LP640's V12, "We're going to miss you when you're gone".
It'll be a big shock when the hammer finally falls for real - and that will happen.
i want to put my phallus into the exhuast- ive never felt this way before
The LC designer is Tadao Mori. Not any Cartabiano from Calty Design...
For the production finishing touches, sure. But it’s a near 100% reproduction of the LF-LC - have a look for yourself - which is a Cartabiano design.
@@chasingcars overall look seems pretty similar but I read an interview with chief engineer saying obviousley no dimensions nor proportion of LC is equal to LF-LC. Anyway my point is that this car is the flagship & global product of Lexus and consquently is the pinnacle of Japanese design, which can't be done by a non Japanese. Deep Japanese stuff that only comes from Japanese people you know what i mean. Saying a non Japanese name as a person behind this design seems a bit unrealistic
So what consumer does Lexus target with this model? It is heavy, 5L 8cyl coupe, slower than AMG A45s yet cost over AUD 200k.. We have several alternative to this. If I want a 8 cyl, I would buy a Mustang instead.
A very different customer to somebody that would be considering a Ford Mustang.
Chiếc xe là mơ ước lớn của biết bao người👍🏅🏅🏅
Man I've seen the left hand drive version but the right hand drive looks sweeeeeeeeeeet😍😍😍😍😍😍
Dream spec if only it were a Convertible. Close to me!!!
That’ll come out later this year.
Yes! My time is neigh
Best than f type & 911 👍👍👍
Big call!
the frame rate of the slow motion footage is off
The back looks musculair and square like the LFA
If only I could afford one of these babies.
That low frame slow-mo is awful and hurts my eyes. Please discontinue that. Good review otherwise.
I wonder, will it ride better in 20 inch rims?
Probably, but unusually, it already rides really well on 21s
@@chasingcars another question: was your test car fitted with optional rear wheel steering?
Im not sure whats more shocking!
The gorgeous body of the car
Or
Them jeans and brown shoes combo!

Your videos gets a bit laggy in some of the b-roll shots.
Noticed that a little too late! Thanks for picking up on it. Won't be an issue in future videos.
Hurrah! At last, Lexus has got rid of the low rent Alcantara on the seats. ) at least on this Inspiration model )
4:46 Perfect back😍
I know, best looking luxury car
I cancelled my c8 deposit and got a lc500 because of the ugly rear of the c8
Brown-Black not all brown for me
The best looking GT for 100k. It's better than the 8 series and S couple and it has the reputation to last.
Yep, the LC is a truly stunning-looking vehicle.
Great colour different but not out there. Don’t think it will date either
Lexus is best
Great review! Just wish this thing wasn't so damn heavy
Yeah it’s a biggun, but it does defy its weight on the road
Chris Fatseas... its a grand Tourer
@@craigpodsprojames2500 it's also a relatively small car. 2 tonnes is a lot by any measure IMO... it's heavier than a BMW M5
Lexus isn't interested in building a halo car that has to diet to feel a certain way or gets quick launches. Heavy is a perspective that buyers at this price point don't worry enough about to buy something else. At this level of refinement buyers have a lot of choices in style, power, reliability and prestige.
Lexus should make a small LC based on the Supra!
That would be awesome.
Perhaps a reboot of the SC which was a little dismal in its previous iteration?
Lexus has some stunning paint colors in their range, but that's not one of them... Other than that, it's an amazing car and one suspects it'll still be cruising down the highway long after the equivalent Benz, Audi and Beemer are scrap. Kudos Lexus!
I loved it but colour choices are very subjective!
@@chasingcars Agree totally.
This car looks IMPOSSIBLY good in this sophisticated green, going through those forested roads. Lexus pushes design in a way that European makes don't do.
Absolutely gorgeous car. I test drove it with the intention to buy because it looks breathtaking- but was hugely disappointed by the (lack of ) performance. I’m going with the C8 Corvette instead.
Right. I mean, it's a GT car, but it will still lay down a 0-100km/h sprint in the five second mark. I understand if that isn't fast enough, of course.
In the 911 you can actually put adults in the back - and it's a sports car. In this, you can't - and it's a grand tourer.
Australia's Mat Watson.
Very kind!
I wish it came with AWD. I'm no longer investing in RWD for my next vheicle since I'm keeping my M5 V10.
