I love editing while in presentation mode, but I usually only can only achieve this with dual monitors. This is super insightful! Thank you! :)
Thanks! Since you are using two monitors, another cool trick to try out is dragging your open dialog boxes off screen (like the animations pane, format shape dialog box, selection pane, etc.) PowerPoint allows you to float those outside the PowerPoint workspace, which makes for a great window to drag onto your second monitor.
@@Nutsandboltsspeedtraining oh wow! I actually have no idea that was a thing. I want to try that out now. Thanks for sharing that awesome advice :)
I use View > New Window, then put one window into presentation mode while leaving the other in edit mode. Best done with two (or more) monitors, but you get the full presentation mode effect, which is nice.
That is a great alternative workaround! Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Can you explain what is Slide#1 : Source - Slide 1, Slide#2 : Source - Slide 2 and color consistency?
How we can join 2 presentations both having hyperlinks without disturbing hyperlinks ?
Sir, when am plugging with projector and presenting the slide show then usually happens viewer watch only the presentation not the hidden part and notes but the opposite thing happening whn am connecting with projector... How to resolves please guide sir
Once you are hooked up to the monitor, in PowerPoint, click the Slide Show tab and then in the Monitors group, select which screen you want the Presentation on in the dropdown, and select Use Presenter View. Doing so, the presentation will be pushed to the monitor you select, and the Slide Show View will automatically happen on the other one. I hope that helps.
the mini slide show is cool tip
Glad you liked it. That's also the only way I'm aware of to access that feature :).
Pls can you answer this question pls respond I have a school projects on Egypt and I can’t auto save or use design ideas because of a file problem can you please help
You can save the file the open another blank PowerPoint then copy each slide one by one to the new blank PowerPoint presentation. Then slide the Automated indicator to "On" . Next try to use the Design Option. Hope that helps.
Cool
Thanks for checking it out.
Great! How the hell did you find out? MS Help tells you to drag the splitter, but, that doesn't work... Are these shortscuts documented somewhere?
I documented them in the blog post below, but other than that I do not think they were ever documented. You kind of have to stumble upon them, but once you do, they are GREAT timesavers! Here is the blog post I mentioned: nutsandboltsspeedtraining.com/powerpoint-tutorials/hidden-powerpoint-shortcuts/
