Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a fighting game with action role-playing elements developed by Koei Tecmo's Team Ninja and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4. The game is a follow-up to Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, released for the PlayStation Portable, and similarly allows players to battle one another using many characters from the Final Fantasy series. The game is a console port of the Japanese arcade title Dissidia Final Fantasy and was released worldwide in January 2018.
Calling all warriors. In partnership with Team Ninja, Square Enix presents Dissidia Final Fantasy NT as the next evolution in squad based brawlers. DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT is a fast-paced, strategic brawler where you can choose from over 20 iconic FINAL FANTASY characters and battle in a 3 versus 3 arena with your friends and other players online or by yourself. The most fun comes with teaming up with or fighting against your own friends. Call upon your squad and battle other teams!
-------------------GAMEPLAY FEATURES-------------------
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT places a focus on three-on-three combat, with players able to switch which character they actively control while the in-game AI controls the other two.
Characters are divided into four combat classes: power-based Vanguards, agility-based Assassins, range-based Marksmen, and unique trait-based Specialists.
Characters can perform Brave attacks, which increase the player's Bravery level based on the amount of damage done. If an opponent is attacked while their Bravery is at zero, a Bravery Break will be triggered, giving the player a substantial Bravery boost. Players can also perform HP attacks that will do direct damage to an opponent based on their current Bravery level. Using HP attacks will reset the player's Bravery back to zero, forcing then to perform more Brave attacks before they can directly attack their opponent again. Players are able to equip one HP attack and two EX Skills per character in battle.
Each character has its own HP meter, along with a Party HP meter, Stamina meter and Summon meter for the whole team. When a character is defeated, a segment will be removed from the Party HP meter; when the Party HP meter is depleted, the player loses.

You gotta love Sephie, he was the most direct, eloquent, commanding and semi-monotonic suave villain and product of late 90s and early 2000s dark & mysterious aesthetic: Matrix, Underworld, Daredevil, etc.
If anything his clothing reminds me of Matrix, long leather trenchcoat-like uniform with its own creative design.

I liked him better as a semi conscious cancer infesting the planet that would appear out of nowhere and do something terrifying and only interact with people in a way that made me think he was so detached from humanity that you may as well be talking to a storm or an earthquake.

Honestly never thought they'd be stupid enough to change Sephiroth's voice actor. He was their baby for the longest time. Treated as a superboss in any game he showed up in, he was like Square Enix's own fanfic self-insert character for most of the FF extended franchise.
It was not a good change, either, though I will give the new guy credit for trying and say he's not horrible. He's just not Sephiroth, either.

I believe Square Enix did the “change the voice actors” move not only so that the word “Remake” In the Subtitle for FF7r part 1 Would follow what audiences in the US would expect to happen in the real world when projects like those usually Come around & what that R-word usually meant when all audiences around the world hear it.
But to also Hide all the hidden surprises That happened at the end of the first chapter.....including a different meaning behind that Despised R-word.
& with all the reactions & theory Writings, essays & Videos that has popped up all over the internet. I feel that gamble for part one is paying off so far.
UPDATE: I would also like to mention that the FF7 remake was going for a cinematic style & Feel with the Characters, plot, soundtrack, scope, ect. Since Film Remakes have a change of actors, the a Voice change Was also utilized to Match with that look & feel of FF7r. Face it, when playing the game or watching gameplay videos on CZcams, somewhere during the experience You would forget You were playing a Videogame & instead we’re watching a “Summer Blockbuster” Movie.
......& most likely were also giving certain scenes Scrutiny, felt the creators were doing it wrong, questioned the Decisions that the Creators were not living up to the spirit of a beloved franchise & Raged out for everyone involved in the Remake “Missed the point” of the story.
.....Just like We all would with a Remake of a Film or TV show.
Only More fuel to the surprise that had happened at the end of part one. All I can say is, “well played “Square Enix”.
I feel you. Sony forced a recast and plugged Warner Bro’s and their own actors in. Japanese, German, and French are all using Advent Children actors. That’s why there’s such weird marketing for the new cast. Square was initially going to use the old cast, but Sony took over. The reason is, Sony and Warner Media have had so many business negotiations and this was one of them. It’s wild to see how many partnerships between Sony and Warner were announced after this casting change.

wiseguy 26 Turns out the person who told mistranslated, what was said was Sephiroth could’ve defeated Cloud easily, but chose not to in favor of grandstanding. Though going back to Kefka, while he did mess up the world, he also wanted everyone in despair, and considering the heroes still held on to hope and explained this to Kefka, even annoying him with “Help guide speeches”. It kind of undermines that victory. But still going back to the original point is Sephiroth still kept his composure when he loses in this game.
