hi everyone. tip lng during demo lesson
never ever ask the student what he knew about the topic given because we have to assume that our student is a beginner or worst zero English student.
Just a heads up po. Kanina during my interview they asked me these questions: 1. How will you handle stress during your class? 2. What if your internet connection suddenly disconnected while you're having a class, what will you do? 3. What will you say to the world for 30 seconds? 4. Your student is not listening, he keeps on playing his robot during your class, how will you catch the attention of your student ? What if you're teaching an adult?

Tips for passing rarejob evaluation:
They are very strict when it comes to grammar and pronunciation. They focus more in accuracy rather than fluency.
For the grammar, try your best to be as grammar-conscious as possible.
As Filipinos, we tend to have the apparent accent of t/k/p. For example, "object- objek," "that- dat," "example-exampol," "the- da," and "subject- subjek" so we need to be careful about that.
Next, avoid filler words like "amm, umm, uhhh, ahh." I suggest that you pause if you don't know the next words that you are going to say.
You need to ace the simple demo. It's a very simple topic about is/are. You need to explain it as simple as possible. Be confident and be mindful of your word choice.
After your evaluation, go to your account and look at the training log. There you'll find the evaluator's comment on your performance.

I am not sure if it is about typing teach. I also failed my typing test but I am now teaching in this company for 10 months. Base on my observation, I think you need to explain "is and are" a lot easier., think of the student as if she's a zero level student who doesn't understand some English terms like "subject", also try to explain it without adding too many words as it will make the student more confused. I experience working in different ESL companies and I think Rarejob is the best. Staffs are very professional and they really care about their tutors.

Sis, I think you possess a good character of being a Teacher. Typing test shouldn't be a major factor on evaluating a teacher kasi minor factor lang yun. Delivery of the lesson, passion in teaching and good communication skills, yan dapat ang basehan ng RJ. Ang typing skills, mabilis lang yan matutunan esp kung sasabihin sayo if yung ang flaws mo pero dahil magaling ka magsalita at magturo, papasa ka. I think, RJ Evaluation does not focus on the core of true teaching skills. Btw, Teacher ako. 😊

I would have to disagree with you about sa typing po. Yes, the factors that you've stated are necessary and wonderful, but in this day and age, working online requires you to type. And mas efficient mag work kapag mabilis ka mag type. Kahit manlang maka 35-40wpm pwede na yan. Iba na po kase now, halos lahat ng jobs now involves typing. Napansin ko rin to sa ibang online ESL teachers; habang nagtuturo sila tinatype nila yung words, tips, lesson plans, etc. kay student. And kitang kita mo na kapag mabilis mag type si teach, hindi na aapektohan yung lesson nya. So, that's why need parin somewhat mabilis mag type po. Ayun lang haha stay safe po.
Although Teacher Jessa is an excellent teacher, typing test is still an important part of teaching at RareJob as the chat box serves as their notebook and as another instructional material aside from what has already been provided. Not only will it help the students realize their mistake, it also works as some kind of record for their mistakes that allows us to point out and correct their mistakes easier.

Hi, worked for Rarejob office here hehe. It's nice watching videos of our tutors since as employees we're also required to teach from time to time. I really miss RJ pero I can teach parin naman anytime, I haven't been teaching for a year and I miss some of my students

Hi Teacher, I think you did a great job, in your demo class as well as the interview. The only that pulled you down is the typing test, you mentioned that you didn't notice that the first sentence has changed so that might be the reason, but overall, you did great! y ou can try again next time. I'll be having an interview too, tomorrow, so wish me luck :-)

kanina, I constantly checked the website every hour, tapos at exactly 12AM, I opened it and the new date was there, but all of the slots were already booked 😭

i understood that there's a lot of applicants, but I can't understand why there was no slot available (literally) EXACTLY at 12AM....😂😭

I think ppl who have booked at around (for ex) 8pm, got the new date (aug. 1) w/o any reservations pa ata..tapos rarejob will probably close it around that hour dn, so when we check at around 12AM, puno na lahat...

Sis kka tapos ko lang sa test call and interview last monday and the evaluator congratulated me already and told me I passed. Ask ko lang what's the next thing that I should do or expect? I was so nervous and didn't really ask anything 😬

The other day ko rin napasa , and kahapon ko lang nabili yung noise cancelling headphones ko..and they sent me an email naman po na pwede ka ng magbigay ng requirements sa skype po nila to help u with your interview schedule

Sa mga nahihirapan pong mag book ng schedule for test call and interview, try refreshing the page at 4pm or 5pm. It took me 2 months to book my interview. I was about to give up rarejob until 1 day, niresfresh ko yung page and voila!! Tomorrow will be my schedule. Thank you teacher Jessa sa video mo. I really enjoyed it. You inspire me. Salamat

Hi Teacher. I am planning to apply po sa Rarejob but I do not have a TIN since I'm still studying. Base po sa website nila, one of the qualifications is that I can provide a TIN po. Is it still possible to apply without it po? Thank you in advance for your response po. 😊
I don't know about their policies. But in Native Camp, if u don't have TIN, you cannot start teaching.

12 midnight nag rerefresh ang mga schedule
In my case, they called my phone number para ma-book yung schedule ko for test call and interview. Nagulat ako kasi ang unexpected. They also ask a few questions.

@@francejimenez3918 Hello Sir, for the application and interview, they won't ask for it yet. Once you passed and start to process the requirements, that's the only time they will request 1 valid ID. :)
