- My thoughts on instagram influencer Loni Jane announcing she's eating animal products (specifically eggs) again after 8 years (mostly) vegan. It's all about the vibes, I guess.

Oysters aren’t sentient
@@raisedbywolves653 Oysters sounds acceptable, but honey probably not, but better than eating a being like a cow or a pig. We should be encouraging harm reduction.
@raised by wolves do you mean oysters are a sentient being or living being? because everything we can eat is living. sentience is different. the focus should be on reducing the most immediate and pervasive animal abuse, which is factory farming of birds, animals, and fish - all sentient and highly intelligent.
@@raisedbywolves653 Plants are living beings, too, so that can't exactly be the bar for veganism.
@@raisedbywolves653 She literally says that in the first 3 minutes, try watching the video. It’s the part with the giant honey image. 🫠🫠🫠
I love how Swayze has been defamed as a fake vegan by so many of the raw food/low fat ilk and yet, here she is, still vegan while so many of those people are no longer vegan.
At least she’s not feeding her kids awful, processed crap, though. You really should not be judging, considering
Because she eats vegan junk food.
@@paolarosichetti899 Yeah, she's vegan... what kind of junk food do you expect her to eat?
@@naryainc Just Egg? And all these craps she has in her damn fridge?
@@paolarosichetti899 so what?
Loni Jane appears to me like that kind of person, who would describe veganism as a spiritual health-journey
But she wasn't. She was constantly mentioning animal welfare on IG stories and taking her kids to farms. Spent years talking about it. She, like most vegans, eventually got health issues.
@@nataliewolensky5953 Like most vegans?
I've been vegan for over 25 years, my kids have been their entire lives.
I have more than a few friends who, likewise are vegan for over 20 + years.
From what I've seen,
the majority of influencers who tend to quit veganism and then post videos about it, often are very fruit based, or mostly raw, and/or super low fat.
There tends to be a lot of restriction to the point of orthorexia.
No shame or blame if someone has a genuine health issue and quits veganism, but saying that
most vegans quit is not true.
@@Laplantelatte yes most people. It’s awesome you’ve been vegan for so long but it would be hard to deny how common the revolving door is. Celebs with the greatest resources can’t even hang on. Leonarda Caprio, Anne Hathaway, Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga, Russell Brand, Samuel L Jackson, Beyoncé, so many who I would say are rather intelligent humans with good levels of self-awareness. All of them eventually quit for health issues
@@Laplantelatte if most vegans don’t quit then why isn’t the number of actual vegans growing? BBC study shows the same number of vegans today then 10 years ago. Not a single vegan society anywhere on earth.
@@samsanchez8247 I mean, some of the celebrities who have tried out various diets besides veganism and
often follow trends related to diet and exercise, it is Hollywood after all, and a lot of their dietary choices are based on physical appearance
and staying thin.
If they were finding veganism hard and felt like they were missing out , or just miss meat, dairy and eggs, then
fine.
That's their business.
My issue is, that when they cite vague 'health issues' (the buzzword du jour), in interviews for leaving veganism,
after you delve further into their comments, it seems that for a fair amount of these celebrities,
the taste of meat, travelling and finding vegan options are the actual main reasons for quitting veganism.
'Health issues'' is more palatable than saying they just didn't want to be vegan anymore to their fans who might
be vegan themselves.
Is it always the case?
No, but it happens often enough.
It's the dishonesty that bugs me.
Edit: Out of boredom and curiosity I looked up some of the names mentioned above to refresh my memory:
Ellen said she just decided to start eating fish and eggs, no health reason for it. ( She was honest about her reasons which was nice to see)
Samuel L Jackson was told he had to gain weight for a role, and thought he couldn't do it on a vegan diet, plus he missed
meat
Anne Hathaway was in Iceland and everyone at the table was eating fish, she felt left out as 'the only vegan girl'
and decided to have fish as well, plus thought that fish would 'reboot her brain' etc.
I think she was being honest, but again, no real health issues, just vague talk of thinking eating fish gave her more energy and cognition.
I’ve been vegan for almost 8 years now and I’m so tired of this same old story
same here
It's their life, not yours. So why does it matter to you?
I'm glad it worked for you but at 8 years it did not work for me. I figured out my uncomfotable stomach pain to the point where walking hurt- was due to difficulting digesting soy, beans, and gluten.
@@betterworld2958 sorry to hear that! That's definitely not a good place to be in. Hope you've gotten yourself some help on improving your gut health. Cz it definitely sounds like a gut issue to be, it can be solved with sibo tests etc. Then once it gets better, slowly you can start reintroducing these healthy foods
@@Vamusika my health is great now and so is my gut. Not everyone can tolerate every food. Ugh
Never heard of this person before, but sounds like the kind of people you meet in Central and Southern California who work as life coaches (but are broke and live in a yurt), or breath workers, etc, and say things like "I really need to feel into this to find my truth," or "I am holding space for you," etc etc. It's a vibe.
A vibe 😂🤣🤣
Pretty much, on a podcast she said she doesn't get blood test for her or her kids because she knows based on intuition... the last year she hit rock bottom got a test and her iron was beyond low so she supplemented for the first time ever.. surprising
@@rba4377 😨 Oh that sounds _totally_ healthy.
That phrase "my truth" is a particular pet peeve for me. There is "the truth" and that's it
Ha,ha I live here, sooooo true!
YES, the point at 11:20 is EXACTLY how I teach my kids about veganism, too -- we don't eat animals because we don't want to. We don't eat them because we don't want to hurt them, and we don't need to hurt them to survive. Does that mean we can't love our non-vegan friends and family? Does that mean we can't be around them while they're eating non-vegan stuff? Nope. We are setting an example -- showing everyone around us that it's possible to be vegan and be a) healthy and b) not a dick about it.
I grew up in a household with some religious traditions, such as not eating meat on Fridays or during fasting periods. Not religious myself but I never really opposed it either, yummy food is yummy food. I am of the mindset of excluding meat from some of my meals and trying new ways (to me) to reduce harm done.
I really enjoy being able to integrate with others through their food and learning about alternatives. I wish more people could meet vegans just like you (and open their minds), because I'm sick and tired of hurtful judgement that goes around as soon as somebody mentions veganism. Boring, unproductive, ineffective.
As an omnivore, I admire such attitude and thank you for your understanding of the situation.
We do need to. We are omnivores. Don't force your famine lifestyle onto your kids. Yiu are harming your kids. You should be arrested

The eggs are the first high protein things on her instagram.
She was also on 60 minutes saying how drs are wrong and she is so healthy but now it matches the time line of her being unwell... guess self promotion above honesty 💵
By her 2nd pregnancy she said she eed cooked food for every but never acknowledged that her raw diet during her first was not adequate.
Yeah it sounds like she planned an inadequate diet for herself and her family. I'm sure people tried to tell her but people can be really defensive about their diet.
A chiropractor once told me that I should turn off my WiFi overnight because that's when it makes toxic mold grow. 😮💨 Nothing about hormones tho. 🤔 😆
LOL. How in the hell is it making mold grow? Did he tell you turn off Bluetooth or not use a microwave? Wifi, Bluetooth, and microwaves all operate at 2.4 GHz. May fungi are especially sensitive to that frequency. Better put your wifi router right next to the shrooms you have growing. LOL
Apparently fungi use radiation the way plants use light. But I am pretty it's ionizing radiation that they use not radio.
🤣 that is both hilarious and tragic at the same time
I've never let them talk to me, crack and go

It’s never going to look good when someone whose an influencer does a complete 180 on what they’ve essentially been selling (ie: benefits of a plant based life style). It would be like a fitness influencer coming out saying exercising is no longer for them and they plan to be a couch potato going forward 😂.
its "their truth" though lol... gotta keep selling those ebooks girl
I am an "ex vegan" myself, just as some others who commented before me, but there is a crucial difference between a non public person deciding to eat animal products again and an influencer that is making a living off of their flawed and unqualified health advice on the internet. i think it is time to acknowledge that a certain level of influence brings with it a certain level of responsibility. I so agree with swayzee that she owes her audience (many of which are her customers, since they have bought her books) a better explanation.
Instagram is waning and now Tiktok is on the rise, so I think these influencers like a big traffic topic. The ex-vegan topic gets traffic, which translates into sales. I guess I do not really begrudge them this, others are flip-flopping from whatever topic is trending. They want to sell ebooks and products, that is their main focus, not being consistent or giving a cohesive explanation to their audience.
She litterly wrote 4 paragraphs about it what more do you want? Or are you just looking for a pat on the back considering your on a vegan page? Lmaoo. It’s ok for you to not be an ex vegan but you judge others
@@Sunrise-fr9jb what I am judging is not whether or not Loni Jane is vegan. I am judging that many of the ex vegans that have a big platform and have brought many people to veganism and are making hundreds of thousands of dollars from promoting their lifestyle by selling products, do not recognise the responsibility that comes with their level of influence. I am saying that a non public person who decides to eat animal products might get away with giving a vague or no explanation to their friends and family as to why they are choosing this new way of living - but someone with a big platform, I believe, should put more effort into explaining why the lifestyle they have been inspiring thousands of people to come to in order to improve their health, is suddenly no longer supporting their own health. I agree with Swayzee that to start off her post, she said "In this chapter, I need fats and protein" - while she has sections in all of her books on how to get these from plant sources. She said animals products feel medicinal for her - why? I think it's not so much to ask for a reasonable and sound explanation of why what she has been promoting for 10ish years is no longer working for her, especially given the fact that you can still buy her ebooks. I like Loni Jane I am not judging *her*, I am judging the way she explained this change.
Ex- vegan = never vegan
Absolutely!
She is still selling a book w nutrition advice, according to her post, the period that she started feeling unwell she was on 60 minutes saying how what she does works and Drs were saying she was irresponsible. She also had on her bio something like 8 years of plant based experience like that gave her credibility but here she is? Thats also why she didnt wanna say anything about her previous diet lacking fat and protein bc than she cant sell that book anymore
its crazy that swayze is losing subs when she is amazey, always busy, and never lazy
This is unrelated, but I like the beautiful art work in the background :)
So cute 🤭
The ghost is very cute!
The reason people give up on veganism isn't relate directly to food... It's social. Being vegan for 10+ years I have deeply thought about giving about two or three times, never because I wanted a juicy steak, but because my life was heavily affected by the fact I'm vegan in a region with almost not even vegetarians. It's harder to go out, have a date, explain every damn time your story, not getting invited and so on. We need to talk about it. It's not about oil, protein or fycking eggs! People will give their lame excuses because they just want to get out of a really claustrophobic situation.
why did "does she eat beans at all?" crack me up so bad
It’s interesting because 1-2 weeks ago she was on the Ellen Fisher podcast talking about plant-based eating
that's a bit disgraceful. :/
You can be plant-based but not vegan. But yeah that's strange...
I saw that too! I wonder if she was already dabbling in secret. She did look a little unwell to me but that may not mean she was.
When she started feeling unwell she visits naturopath and chiropractor.. anyone surprised?
She was one of the people who i looked up to as a new vegan like 8 years ago!! 😥 When people like her quit, It's like they're saying to all the people subscribed & who've bought their stuff both literally & figuratively "actually the last ten years i was bullsh*tting" lol!!
no, it's like saying that her health was not in good shape. wake up.
@@Manectric7 they wrote a comment they were therefore awake......crickets
@Haunted Teacups but the truth is, she was never vegan. She was plant based it seems.
That's why we must focus on proper resources instead of aesthetics. I feel like it's very easy to get eggs from "happy" chickens who live in someone's garden. And eggs do not live and have never lived. So, I don't really see the problem. She still lives a way less animal-cruelty free live than many others
Earthling Ed has a video explaining some of the issues with backyard eggs if you'd like to know more on this. (Low down: chickens aren't naturally made to produce eggs as often as we like, which often causes severe health issues)
@@cariiinen I haven't seen the video but that's what vets are for? They make the eggs anyway? Eat them??
My dad is very far from vegan and even he regularly gets eggs from a friend who has well cared for chickens, they're in the fridge rn.
@@xSwordLilyx It seems that the kinder thing might be to not breed and keep such hens at all, and to chose other pets. You can check out befairbevegan for an article on the topic if you'd like
I'm no expert on the issue, but basically, from what I understand:
We have bred hens to produce an extreme amount of eggs compared to what their ancestor naturally would (300 eggs per year vs. a dozen). This causes many health issues (similar to how some races of dogs suffer from health problems due to breeding).
Those health issues often go unnoticed in larger facilities (untreated broken bones are unfortunately very common due to osteoporosis). Some are difficult to treat (disorders of the reproductive tract), meaning high vet bills (if the owner is willing to pay for treatment), or painful/unsatisfactory treatment.
One of the things that can be done to help with these issues is apparently to feed their own eggs back to them.
A second point is that backyard hens are often bought from breeders, thus contributing to commercial egg production.
Thirdly, people will generally kill the hen once it stops producing 'enough' eggs.
If you know people who take great care of their pet hens, and manage to keep them healthy through old age, then that sounds wonderful. Hens are very clever (they can learn many tricks), curious and social animals that seem very fun to have around.
You hit the nail on the head, she monetized being vegan. Does anyone know what happened to James Aspey and his lovely wife? Are they chowing down at the steakhouse these days?
I wouldn't be surprised. He strikes me as one of those dodgy influencers who are in it for the money. Also from his appearance I wouldn't be surprised if he was a cell mate of Carbstrong and they came up with the scheme together. Notice how Carbstrong was so quick to savagely condemn people like Jon Venus when they fell off the vegan wagon but he hasn't said boo about Aspey ripping off so many vegans?
Of course 😁

Idk if she was tested with celiac BUT when I was a celiac vegan, I got glutened SO often because cross contamination happens a lot with plant food -esp in the US.
Nuts, cassava, oats to name a few things.
And the Certified Gluten Free Stuff is super expensive (edit: I trusted cheap nuts which in hind sight, bad idea!). Also, supplements won't help if you are glutened from anything. It can take 1-6months to be able to reabsorb nutrients after getting contaminated.
Myself as an obligate omnivore (because of another auto immune disorder I have), it is SO much easier (in America) to remain Gluten Free. In the 3 years I have been omnivore again, I have gotten glutened (contaminated with gluten) like...once.
As a vegan for only 2 years...at least 4 times.
Why are eggs always one of the first go to post vegan foods when tofu scramble is also super cheap, high protein and fat, and takes the same amount of time to make lol.
a) tofu scramble doesn't taste the same. It's nice, but they're different flavours and have different nutrients (not saying one's better or worse, just different)
b) Eggs are often a first go-to as eating meat might be a little intense/gross-feeling after not eating it for ages, eggs are less so.
@@user-tx5vr2lu6e I agree I just feel like a vegan would already be used to it and not miss eggs that much but idk.
Your point b a lot of makes sense tho
Eggs are waaaaaay more nutritious than tofu! Tofu is nothing
tofu is high fibre and can cause gas and bloating sometimes whereas eggs don't, so if you want to be full while maintaining a flat stomach, then eggs are perfect.
Tofu is full of anti-nutrients and many people have allergies to them. Tons of lectins, which blocks mineral absorption, and it's one of the highest-sprayed crops in the world (pesticides).Eggs have cholesterol which as somebody pointed out in these comments, is vital for cellular function. Vegans don't consume any good cholesterol which leads to issues down the road.
Love the drawings in the background!

Similar to me. Back in 2013-15, I blindly believed all the hclf/fruitarian influencers and doctors. It’s a shame I was so gullible. Their non-flexible, dogmatic view on nutrition sapped much of my health and gave me eating disorders. Thank goodness those days are over.
Same veganism did not work for me but I still love this channel
@Link Link To clarify, I still eat mostly plant-based. I still oppose the horrors of factory farming and other other unnecessary cruelties . I eat eggs and low-mercury fish on a non-daily basis. I definitely don’t want to eat mammals again. On the days I eat totally plant-based, I rely on tofu and sometimes tempeh for protein as I simply cannot embrace bean-heavy meals anymore. Ive had to accept that I cannot maintain the purism of veganism’s definition. But I totally respect people who are vegan all the way and am happy that it works for them.

I just want to say a huge thank you for recognizing that some people have legit health issues that make going fully vegan difficult or impossible. I eat vegan as often as I can, but I struggle to eat enough to maintain my weight and have issues balancing my sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and iron because of several autoimmune disorders and the medication I take for them. Doctors have warned me against going fully vegan because it'd be ridiculously hard for me to absorb enough nutrients. I wish I had a quarter for every time vegans have shunned people like me who just can't fully commit but do our best to minimize our animal consumption.
You’re doing great, ignore the “vegan police” types like Freelee, you’re doing the best while being limited by health issues which makes it extra hard.
Is your doctor a fully qualified dietician? or a general practitioner that has a bias and little knowledge about nutrition?
No judgement on you, but I'm not sure what nutrients you'd be struggling to absorb? if you don't have a soy allergy, just eat more soy, eat lots of nutritional yeast, take a supplement if need be.
I suppose it comes down to how much you value animals lives versus your own time researching, of course I don't know your condition, but doctors aren't educated past basic nutrition (which doesn't cover plant based diets yet, as the studies are often funded by animal agriculture)
@@vooligan9499 I have seen numorous specialists and dietitions who have given me the same advice. Hey Swayze! I know you're not a medical doctor, but I would still highly appreciate your insight into this matter. I have hashimoto's and try to eat a vegan diet. I love tofu and eat it multiple times a week, but I've read that that can exacerbate the inflammation of the thyroid. You understand studies and maybe you'd like to look into the link between this condition and veganism? Doctors where I live haven't been helpful.

I wish people would just admit that they found it too hard so they decided to compromise on their morals for an easier life. All people compromise on their morals for convenience in some areas. I’m not going to sit here and try to argue that it’s actually better for the environment to use single use plastics, I’ll admit that it’s much more convenient to shop at a conventional supermarket rather than a bulk store and I just don’t really care enough to inconvenience myself. Yes, the oysters - I remember thinking that was such an odd choice as she kept saying the nutrient can’t be found anywhere else. No supplement or any other food? I want to know more about what you think about honey. I've heard arguments on both sides, and it's honestly the least compelling thing for me to stop eating. I don't eat it that much, but it doesn't seem as unethical as meat and dairy.
You're right, it's not as bad as meat or dairy, but bees are probably sentient, and therefore we should probably be nice to them.
Honey is one I don't worry about. I don't buy straight up honey. But I am not going to avoid buying bread because it has honey.
@@yaash4123 okay but the point is, collecting honey isn't unkind to bees; the hives can't survive if the honey isn't occasionally cleared. Obviously this is a way of life for bees that developed in co-evolution with humans, so in that sense you could say it's 'exploitation', but that is how they live now and they need their apiarist to keep their hive healthy because they can't do it themselves. Obviously there are differences in how the honey is cleared but a sustainable apiarist will be gentle in doing that (by sedating them slightly with smoke, which doesn't harm them, and removing the honey slowly by hand), and will always leave enough honey for the hive to continue to support itself. It doesn't harm bees to eat their surplus honey and in fact it helps them to stay in the same hive for much longer. Find your local apiarist and talk to them about it; they will be able to tell you what is ethical honey that helps bees and where you can find it.
@@katelijnesommen if you’re interested earthling Ed has a video about this topic. One thing that stuck with me was that many bee keepers will kill their whole hives population in the winter by Burning them alive because they would have to feed them a surrogate until spring what would be costly. It’s seemingly cheaper to kill them and buy new ones ones in spring
@@katelijnesommen I don't search for the most biased sources when I look for information, so I don't talk to people who stand to benefit from these practices. I don't think it's ethical to rob someone just because they have too much of something or to clip their wings so they can't escape.
LJ didn't each much mock meats for a reason. I remember she posted going away for the weekend and eating at a restaurant and showing pictures of how she believed that food affected her bloating/weight/water retention or something like that. I think she connected eating mock meat (or "gluten") with bloating and weight gain and I'm not sure she ever figured out really if it was the gluten, amount of salt, or some other ingredient that caused the temporary flab.
She also did post a picture of a blood test result and said it was evidence of gluten intolerance or something like that, within the last few years.
She couldn't sustain the highly restrictive diet she has been promoting for years? Shocker! I don't know why anyone would take nutrition advice from an influencer.
Can anyone give me some helpful tips? ❤
I have been vegetarian since age 13 and vegan for the past two years-I am 32.
But right now I am in a bad cycle of ‘cheating’ with some products. It started two weeks ago when I accidently ate something containing dairy. And now I have been eating stuff with dairy quite a few times.
And I can fell myself letting go of the feeling of it being ‘bad’.
Please, I would love some advice.
I'm not sure as you may have thought of these already but re-connecting with why you stopped eating dairy by reading/watching accounts of the cruelty that happens. Surrounding yourself with animal rights type vegans in a campaign group- when I had lots of animal rights friends and did protests years ago, I was much more passionate and vocal about the issue. Whereas now, not so much as my current friends/social circle are not vegan. Also wherever possible going to places where there are lots of good vegan options. Hope that helps and don't beat yourself up about it, just by posting this, its obvious that you are a caring person trying to do their best.
@@teainortakoy Thank you so much for the advice.
Yeah, it’s hard when you are alone in veganism. Here in Scandinavia pescetarianism and vegetarianism is quite commen but very few people are vegan. And many of my friends who were vegans have gone back to or even meat as we have been getting older-whereas I have become more passionate. But Scandinavian diet is really, really dairy heavy.
So it can be hard. Oatmilk have become very popular though as we are oat people.
But I am quite depressed right now for several reasons, so that is also a factor.
But thank you so much for your advice. It’s really, really nice of you.
I haven’t thought of connecting with a campaign group.

you can try organic pasture fed milk sources. The cows keep producing milk because they are stimulated daily when they are milked (just like us women, we can keep producing milk for years if our breast are stimulated).
Which products do you crave, that make you cheat? Just try to find the exact same thing but vegan, so instead of a chocolate bar, look for a vegan chocolate bar, instead of cake, make a vegan cake, instead of sour cream, make a dip with vegan yoghurt etc. :)
Source high quality milk from pasture raised cows/goats. Don’t get hung up on the extremes of life. Put your money towards supporting farmers who truly care for their animals.
people should ask for a refund
love the way you said good vibe lmao i remember her back from the essena oneil days, heck essena helped me go vegan so *shrugs*
Can we also differentiate between the “plant based, health food” vegans and the people who are actually vegan ethically?
I feel like when veganism went mainstream in the early 2010s it was mostly around health consciousness, that we as humans should eat a totally (or primarily) plant based diet which the majority of scientific study points to. And thus yoga girl influencers kinda co-opted veganism as a health food diet. Animal ethics doesn’t sell but consumer health consciousness does and I think this is partly why you see backlash is because when people tout a vegan diet to be optimally far more healthy and then there are people like her after a decade of eating that way stop it makes people think their point is proven.
I have a feeling Kat Von D is no longer vegan. I might be completely wrong but she was very vocal and now nothing besides talking about her shoe brand.
I think I saw non vegan candy/chocolate in one of her stories on Instagram like a year ago and was thinking the same. Don't think she's vegan either
@@maria_theresia_von_habsburg I’ve been thinking this for well over a year. Have found a reddit thread too. Like you people have spotted similar things in IG stories. I just hope she doesn’t come out with a BS story like others do.
The "good vibes" was on point
Hey girl hey 👋 you da best !
"I don't want to be vegan because some vegans are mean"
"I don't want to be anti-racists because some anti-racists commit violence"
"I don't want to be feminist because some feminists are mean"
Doesn't quite work that way, hun...
I have missed you so much, Swayze. I came across a “60 Minutes: Australia”’s segment on Clean Eating/Orthorexia etc. she was on there and it had been a long time since I saw Lani. So she’s not Vegan anymore? Can’t lie that I loved her smoothie aesthetic, BUT….she was full of pseudo woo-woo. Her lifestyle was not sustainable.
Why were you saying gif-t-s like that? I think I missed something xx
You are the best:')
Thanks
Haven't eaten animal flesh in over twelve years and any other animal products for seven years now and just wish I had began sooner!
is protein spelled wrong in the thumbnail?
Vegan is just too mainstream now lol.
I feel so lucky. I thrive on a vegan diet I carelessly adopted 40 years ago - I had powerful ethical and environmental concerns, but I basically fell in love with veggies and beans, miso, tahini ...
At 62 it's the low-hanging fruit of life choices - followed closely by cycling to work and back for 40 years ... oh and of course I never smoked and my weekly bottle of red wine is groceries..
To be fair to her, it does say "paired with beans" next to brown rice. I am not sure if you overlooked this or simply thought it wasn't worth mentioning.
She doesn't seem to practice any of it... I wonder if she wrote that not to get in trouble. I've seen legumes once in her stories. There was a podcast she was on saying how she and her kids didn't get bloodbtests because she knew better based on intuition, meanwhile whenever she posted her and her kids lunch and dinner on stories it would be rice crackers w avo and tomato and gf pasta w tomato sauce and a few olives... last year she posted having super low iron and supplementing for the first time, didn't surprise me based on her diet.
The "raw til 4" diet ruined so many into thinking that was all there was to eating healthy plant-based. 😑
It's a trend for these people. Also, keep in mind TikTok is now overtaking Instagram, so these influencers will do whatever it takes to remain relevant. So, I am no longer vegan or plant-based are topics that seem to always garner an audience.
Hey :)
Question:
I have been on and off a plant based diet. Really tracking the macro and micronutrients. Before I did PROPER veganism I was on a high fruit diet, just for a few months, because I gained a lot of weight and couldn’t afford it AND it was nuts how much I had to eat to be a little bit satisfied. For my „last vegan run“ I did it very well- I did it close to perfect, but still i never felt good on it. My neurologist told me it just doesn’t go with my metabolic disorder and maybe I should stop trying.
I still tried and tried and forced myself to eat 100% vegan, then went to vegetarianism and since July I am on a not junkfoody omnivorous diet and I never felt better. My blood test is pretty good except Iron (my body doesn’t have good storage) but altogether I am healthy (finally).
I don’t blame veganism AT ALL. I just feel bad for vegans who are shaming people and are acting as if it’s possible for everybody. So do you think it’s ethically „good“?
I mean now I got the energy to take the extra steps to arrange low waste and in general more mindful.
What’s your opinion?
My guess is veganism became more of a career than a core philosophy for her, and when it wasn't paying the bills the same way time to move on.
still paying the bills bc she still sells the ebook lol thats shy on the post she doesnt blame veganism
Who drew the cat picture lol
I'm new to the channel. I like it. But brothers, we need to stay focused.
News flash: you can eat fat and protein on a vegan diet. Been one since 1990. If you just think vegans eat salads, maybe you're just a terrible cook? Lol. Just saying...
Atheism and often veganism ( the lifestyle not the diet) absolutely are religions. Secular religions.
She’s had health problems with her vegan lifestyle, if you follow her you’d know.
Sounds like she’s eating for herself not others, everyone has a position. Different ways one can help others, her other book did, maybe’s she’s writing a new book.
Proverbs 9:10
Hey can you address those “rapid aging vegan” videos that are all over CZcams? I trust your scientific mind and find the whole idea fascinating
my 2 cents: trust your own eyes and intuition
I like her take on things?
pls do a video on rawvana... she went from vegan to eating meat every meal of the day..like where is the balanccceeeee??
Biggest reason I like unnatural vegan is I want facts. She shows scientific backings and doesn’t shame ppl. I introduced bivalves and started to feel very very good
While studying for my nutrition certification, I came across the benefits of olive oil as a healthy fat for plant based people and I've never turned back. I haven't gained any weight yet unfortunately, but I feel a lot less weak than when I was using no oils at all
My favorite oil is canola. It's cheap, low in saturated fat, and high in omega 3s.
Are you also eating nuts and seeds and avocado?
@@jennoscura2381 Dangerous oil. Apparently good for engines in automobiles.
@@laurenelizabeth2505 By that logic, drinking water must be terrible for you, because there's water in toilets.
@@myrianrose3619 Lol, right there are no differences in oil quality for human physiology. By that logic, all food products are equal in value for health.
Ive been vegan for about 7 years now and I worry that I'll hit the 8 year mark and give up, but also, I do it for the animals? If I have to give up beans and eat fake chicken nuggets with my veggies then I will 🤷♀️
Another one bites the dust.
The "evidence? - NONE" part 😂
BEST DIET no other diet could beat: water, salt, beef
At 1:58, did anyone notice the typo in "protein"? Lmao
A shit ton of typos 😄
I’ve never heard of this person either but she sounds like quack. Besides, anyone who hangs out with Freelee is a big old red flag, lol.
I'm guessing she was seeing a lot of skin aging, and that's why she is now into red-light saunas as well as increasing animal protein and fat consumption.-- All of these are known to benefit aging skin.
What’s your opinion on “backyard eggs”? Thanks!
The problem is that over time these animals have been bred to lay eggs daily, rather than their natural/normal once-a-month 'cycle'. The process of forming these eggs takes calcium and other nutrients from their bodies, which when added to the actual process of carryong and hatching causes immense stress to the hen.
Generally, the advice is to feed the eggs back to the hen so that the minerals are re-absorbed - something which cannot be done if they've been eaten by other people.
While these animals are no doubt in much better situations than their caged counterparts, their existence and the trend towards viewing the taking of their eggs as a harmless 'win-win' drives the continued breeding of these animals, whose lives as egg-laying machines still represents suffering and exploitation.
@@el-bov8034 yes, Feed them back to them! I’d love to have some rescued chicken someday and just give them back theirs eggs. Ive also heard that when they get out of their artificial day and night circle they don’t produce as much eggs anymore after a few months or years.

You can also see that as their payment for safety, room and board delivered to them by their keepers.
Wild birds don't have such luxuries in life. They are endangered by predators, food insecurity, coldness and parasites.
@@piau1798 Didn't know that about the light situation. However, I'd be curious to know if it's even possible and/or how long it would toake to get back to their natural cycle.
@@Gaia_Seraphina You might see it that way, but I don't. While I do believe that where possible animals have a certain duty/responsibility towards their personal upkeep and that of the community and planet, I think the line should be drawn at anything that causes suffering and/or has negative implications to health, wellbeing etc.
I don't see any relevance to the comparison with other animals either. Does the fact that many around the world are dying of poverty and starvation mean that you should be forcibly starved? If we're seeking to level out the experience of all mamilas (human and non) then surely it'd be better to lift those who are suffering up, rather than drag those who have it better down. Also, when it comes to wild birds and other animals, their fate isn't absolutely certain. Animals that have been bred into a body that doesn't support its ''improved' human design just to provide humans with food they don't need to survive/thrive has no equivalence.
I'd hope that those who open their homes to these poor creatures would do so for altruistic reasons. They aren't here for us, they're here with us.
Reminds me of this girl Mary married on who drank the Paul Saladin kool aid
The “spiritual” people who eat animal products baffle me.
Well, if they thank the animal spirit for dying for their "needs" they can "energetically" undo it.🤪
Would you say any other animal is less conscious or spiritual because they eat what they're designed to eat?
@@samsanchez8247 i would say they dont have the choice to not kill animals and (at least largely) also not the cognitive capacity to proccess what it means to have a choice.
@@elahalilovic6070 that has nothing to do with spirituality.
@@samsanchez8247 do you mean "that spirituality" which is based on the abstract idea that there is a form of consciousness or source energy flowing through everyone? You mean that concept which probably only humans are aware off because its pretty much a human invention ?
You should do a vegan cookbook
Ooohohoho! I wonder what this means for all the vegan-based friendships she had? Just within the last month she was on Ellen Fisher’s podcast
