Had a game where his quest to give her an gemstone and say it's from him got Emily to 10 hearts. That one really backfired on him

It IS weird how doing chores in real life annoys you, but in Stardew Valley it relaxes you. Like, seriously. What's up with that?
well, you can do it without getting weird pain in your aging body and get rewarded with more than a pleasant view (that doesn't stay for long) ^^
if only I could move my body with a controller I would love doing chores irl
It's very simple; doing things with a goal feels like a chore, doing things just because you feel like it on the other hand feels great. If you go into Stardew Valley with the mindset of first cleaning up the entire yard it will probably feel much worse too, but most of the time you just go and you're like "this tree is annoying" and so you remove it without thinking about all the other stuff that you could be doing instead.
Could be that just weeding out a small garden in real life takes a half hour and requires a lot of bending, pulling, squatting and dealing with bugs. But you can do it in a few seconds on Stardew Valley:-)

Fun fact: There's a lot of Mods about Grandpa's bed. Some turn it into an actual bed he'd be comfortable in, some just makes him float, and some.... transformed him into the bed itself.

...and having no energy to begin the next day.
I love how you approach a woman contemplating the sunset on the horizon, on top of a mountain, hearing the bubbling of the near lake with her husband by her side, and you just give her a spaghetti plate and go away.

lmao i love this game to death i can’t even lie. when i have a stressful day at work it’s nice to sit down have a beer and wonder why abigail is so obsessed with rocks.
Abigail is secretly a lithoid. Her original response to any liked gift is "how'd you know I was hungry", but one of her liked gifts is quartz. This was accidental, but rather than remove the dialogue, the developer leaned into it. Now, when you're married to her, she will sometimes ask if you're going to go to the mines, because she's hungry. For quartz, and other minerals, one would assume.
Her dad is the wizard. I don't trust her rockeating face.

I will always side with Pierre, after I saw him uppercut Morris through the roof of the finished community center and strike a victory pose while suddenly wearing sunglasses. I am frightened of his power, and I appease his wrath with Starfruit wine and other products.
Plus… his prices are better. There really isn’t an incentive to side with Jojo Mart.

That fishing minigame really is the most brutal one out there. Pro-gamer tip: sometimes you can buy the fish you need from the traveling cart that parks by the big tree in the field south of your farm on weekends
Another tip, tap the rod instead of holding it, control the position of the slider by the speed of the taps. It's way easier to control. (I don't know if this works of keyboard, I only use controller)

@@unidentifiedwhistlingobjec6515 I have played on mobile and pc and I find mobile far harder. I can still do ok as long as I buy and use the training rod for a long time. And crab pots to get my skill up too.
another pro tip is to use the C key instead of the mouse to control the bobber, some people say it helps

Okay but like, clearing the debris from the farm is actually so calming but in real life I'd be the last person doing that.
To be fair in real life it's a lot more effort, also with risks of sunburn, blisters, bugs, etc.
Me playing stardew: Look at all the cool stuff I can do! I'm gonna make a farm, and a winery, and...
Also me: Spends 6 years fishing from 6am to 11pm every day

The irony is that Pierre is actually CHEAPER than Jojamart, he just has inconvenient hours and can't pass out 50% off coupons like they're candy.
I would have liked playing out a real dilemma for me, instead of walking into the (Wal)JojaMart, finding everything more expensive even after buying the expensive (Cos)JojaMart membership, and skipping on back to the Mom and Pop shop without any conflict at all.

I'm surprised that you don't talk about how insanely fast time goes by in the game, and how maddening it can be. Love the game, but it gives me stress with the micro time management.

After you get Perfection, witch becomes golden and she leaves a golden egg instead.

I played it on release and then didn’t touch it for a couple years. Tried it again and there is so much new content. It’s basically a whole different game than it used to be
"Eldin Ring of fishing games" - so true lol. It was so hard for me in the early game to figure out how to fish because they make them so jumpy

I’m surprised they didn’t talk more about the love interests. I thought most of them sucked, especially the guys. It’s the first time I’ve ever chosen a bachelorette in a game when I was given a choice. I went for Abigail then Leah. I’ve since read through the stories and I guess Sebastian isn’t bad, but the others are pretty terrible 😰
@@Amaranthyne Out of curiosity, what do you feel is wrong with Harvey/Elliot? I mostly agree with you about the other three, but afaik Elliot and Harvey are legitimately genuine and caring dudes, with their biggest flaws being that they are characters in a video game with a limited and somewhat bland pool of things they can actually say (which is true of every NPC in the valley to an extent)
I guess I just have a hard time calling them terrible.

Hilarious! I've always thought the shadow creatures in the mines steal your items, they are always dropping goodies when slain. You actually only lose gold when you pass out at 2am though, only when you die by reaching 0 health do you lose items.
I have restarted a file on this game so many times it really is an addicting gameplay loop
The best thing about this trailer is that there is still hope for Terraria

I played this at the beginning of the pandemic. It’s really helped me not panic at night it was so chill.
