Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

@@Lobster09090 I suppose that is fair, but I think that that could be counteracted by a ship design that relies less on aerodynamics than spaceship maneuvering.

Well, the biggest issue with space or zero g battles is that the combat is different. Attacks come from all directions, movement is in all directions, and therefore, defense and movement capabilities are nessary for all directions. The closest we have in concept is sub to sub combat underwater.

Two challenge ideas:
- A combat challenge, but you're building a vehicle for another player
- 3 short challenges from past episodes but you have to "solve" them using builds from other challenges
This is a cool concept and I like it.
Multiplayer idea: Make your own race parkour with the mod.

(A very pay-to-win space mmorpg where you can't manually pilot ships - felt the need to mention it because lots of people fall in love with this game in the first minutes then hate it as they realize wasd doesn't steer the ship :)) )

I just visited some of his older videos(e.g. Nomad survival,Mars exploration,etc) and with this video a sudden wave of nostalgia just hit me because scrap man is the main source of entertainment for me in 2021
I love how Kan pretends he's having trouble with his ship while leaving Scrapman and Kosmo to kill each other.
Idea: zero-g combat, but ranged weapons are allowed, and your forward thrust is always on, and you have a larger arena

You know. You guys should do a zero G dog fight. I'm thinkin that you have 4 players, 1 pilot, and the other on guns.
And since the entity limit has been increased so much, it could be really cool looking.
(although, I have no idea how bullets reaction in zero g. especially in a mod for a game without zero g to begin with.)
maybe negative gravity glider challenge? like you would start from the ground and then try and make it through a hoop of fire before you get too high?

Battle Bot Stats Summary
Kan's Brick of a pod:
Has range if used properly and could've been deadly if it hits you with a barrel at full speed. Is tanky and can survive impact based attacks.
Weakness: Loses control after/when executing a hammer move and is hard to control.
Moonbo's deathball:
Has good defense and can repel and survive both impact and piercing based damage. Can completely negate any attacks if every side of its arms has a barrels attached. It can also use it's arms as a shield or a weapon.
Weakness: Its core is exposed when the arms are extended and can be killed by piercing damage when its arms is not extended.
Scrapmans Poker Fighter:
Can pierce enemies at distances and has good mobility compared to other crafts.
It's pokers can be used at least 3 times before running out of them.
Weakness: Is extremely fragile and supposedly cannot use it's pokers when in tight spaces or when in contact with the enemy (without the pokers activated)
If it's pokers are used without slight ranged it will push the enemy away and destroy all of its pokers causing damage to only itself.

I have a suggestion:
Do it in a larger area with larger creations and a limited amount of cannons. You can have the restrictions of 500 blocks and a total of 4 cannons with no restrictions on what cannons you can use. Then have the arena be above the bay like the drones.
Next trailmakers multiplayer idea: who can do the better jetpack tricks
I think a super-high-gravity walker-bot race could be interesting. For a change from all the low-gravity challenges. Oh, or double-gravity gliders from the highest point on the map, and the goal is to glide the furthest. That could be an interesting challenge.

I got half way through the first round and liked the video due to laughter
I used to make anti gravity and stability cores using the speed sensors, angle detectors, and logic gates, but now, with the gravity mod, I should start making PRO gravity cores.

Scrapman! I have a Multiplayer Monday suggestion! (Scrap Mechanic)
Build a vehicle that carries a 10x10 SOLID cube of tier 3 concrete, and race!
These are the build limitations:
You can use only ONE level 3 engine
You can have up to 10 wheels (large or small)
The cube CAN be carried on a separate trailer (behind the vehicle)
No thrusters, no glitches, no mods!
Size limits are 16 blocks wide, but you can be up to 64 blocks long.
For the race track, just make sure that there are not too many places where you could bottom out.
Scrapman's vehicle is great because it has no weak points. Since Kosmo has to poke things out, hitting him diagonally instantly hits his seat. And Khan's seat is just exposed, so if you have enough control and no weak points, you're set.

Suggestion: Zero-G race with no thrusters. Would have to use aero-dynamics/propellers etc.
Now that you don't need a mod to do this, this would be a great idea to return to
0g plain race sound like a cool idea

[Also there is possible to create a spudgun powered wheel driven car with tanksteering. Just either lock the wheel on one side, or anchor one of the sides with a piston.]

Tank battle. Large canon with slow speeds and a required hight limit. Maybe add tnt in the middle of each tank for extra destruction!
I love Kosmo's. It's like a UFO.
Make crazy spinning catapults of varying sizes and design. Then proceed to use these catapults to throw barrels in any variety of ZERO-G fights or contests.
