    AGA RADWANSKA IN THE HOUSE! The best female TENNIS tactician known!
    THIS IS when tennis was TENNIS.
    AGA RADWANSKA quite literally forced her opponent out of her COMFORT ZONE and that included SERENA.
    I was sick& tired of McEnroe insisting on AGA taking advantage of the trainer for treatment. No other player in Women's tennis used their upper quads like RADWANSKA, who literally returned from a sitting position. No other player in women's tennis possessed AGA 's tact, anticipation of a shot, precision, re-direction, and SUCH grace and that poker face. "It ain't over 'til it's over. No other player before or SINCE played like AGA. ✔🎾💖😏

    I’ve always felt it was a shame how early Li Na retired. She could’ve gone on to win one or two more slams had she continued playing, especially in 2016-2017. She had a great record against Kerber and Muguruza who were voted WTA player of the year for those two years. I think her and Halep would’ve forged an intriguing rivalry. Her presence certainly would’ve made things a lot more interesting. One of the biggest underachievers in my opinion.

    I loved this match so much! Both players played excellent!
    Omg it annoying me how McEnroe kept insisting for the entirety of the 3rd set that Radwanska took advantage of the medical timeout just to throw off Li's rhythm...first off she already went into the match with 2 taped quads so we already know she might have been struggling with that, plus she has played a 2 and a half hour match the previous day so geez I think she actually needed the medical timeout to get taped up like she did. Also, there was a 30 minute rain delay once Radwanska went up 2-0, so I highly doubt Radwanska's timeout should be to blame for Li going down 1-5. Radwanksa simply handled the delay better is all imo.

    • @markbielak5259
      @markbielak5259 Před 4 lety +4

    Sooooo miss Aga’s refreshingly different tactical style of play. This was a very entertaining match but their obsessive focus on the injury timeout is super annoying!There have been far more egregious and questionable such timeouts and Aga does not have any pattern of abusing this. Maybe her already taped quad actually was bothering her given the long match she just finished playing? Please upload the video with Pam Shriver and PATRICK McEnroe commentating.

      Through her whole career Aga never once used a tactical injury timeout, John McEnroe was just judging her by his own standards. Aga won so many matches she on paper should have lost because she was able to get into her opponent's head and make them doubt their own ability.

The way she moves between points or even more telling, the way she drops herself down for some shots give soo clear signs. Exhausted legs, no power anymore so only relying on defense and hoping for Li Nas faults. Going on only by sheer willpower...

    Radwanska played beutiful, creative tennis, not the robotic power stroke perfection of some of the players trained nowadays, thst rely on phisical dominance. No Wonder she won many player of the year awards voted by fans. Female tennis shoudl be the game of finess and not who has got more freakish physical advantage. Radwanska I think was 56 kg of body weight, refusing to bulk up to gain some more power , and relying on her incredible feel of the ball and tactics to reach number 2 in the world ( behiind Serena who was just way to physcially dominant at the time)

    The match that ruined Aga's thighs. Here she played only with tapes, in the next match with Lisicki, she was fully strapped. That impaired her movement, and she was trying to rush things with Sabine, but with the 3-setter, it was to her demise. Even if by some miracle she would have won, Bartoli was going to win the final anyway, cause she was fitter. Thrurough her career, her thighs and back problems stopped her from winning slams. Such an unfair "Replay the Point" psychological twist to affect player mental state in a critical point of the set, and this happens twice in a roll ... what can we say? ... another example of tricky treatment for Asian players? ...
    And the fact that in the 1st set Li served an ace that landed perfectly In (at 46:57) but was called Out by mistake (as later proven by the Hawkeye at 53:37) and then the line caller's mistake was assumed correct and Never overruled by the umpire, and another fact that at 3 5 in the tie breaker Aga served the ball clearly out (at 1:02:55) but was again never called Out, further illustrates the fact that no matter how hard Li tries she is just not meant to get to the semi or to the final ever on this ground ...
    Tennis at this level means every point counts and if the umpire and the line call folks are partial, as demonstrated on multiple points here in this match, then the player is bound to lose no matter how hard she or he tries ... it is a just losing proposition to begin with here at SW19 for these unfortunate Asian players ...

    If only she'd challenge that serve on set point 😭

      I always wondered why she didn't challenge that serve. It's set point, and it looked close. It would be worth a challenge and she had 3 of them. If it's in, it's an ace and set's over. Don't bother talking to umpire, just challenge. She didn't, and the rest is history.
