What I always admired about Radwanska is that she had to resort to other options rather than pure strength as her build was slight and couldn't hit as hard as other players, so she had to outsmart her opponent using her great hand skills (drop shots and net gameplay) and her quickness on the court. She was one of a kind, incredible player to say the least.

People forget i think that in the absence of the legend that is Serena Williams, a player with such status we likely wont see again in our lives... who would have been the reigning no.1 from 2013 to 2016?... Agnieszka!!
Are you kidding me? from 2013 to 2016? Agnieszka Radwanska could have been the world no 1 as you said? For such long period of time, NO im sorry I completely have to disagree. 😂 The only possible time Aga could be world no 1 was after reaching the sf at Wimbledon that year, but it wouldn't be too long because she was also defending her Wimbledon points as a finalist, which she failed to succeed. Had she won the Wimbledon title instead, she could be the no 1 for a couple more months indeed, and then fallen back to top 3 towards year end rankings. Sharapova is the one who would most likely to dominate the 2013 season, but before the US OPEN she ended her 2013 campaign which could potentially saw both Azarenka/ Na Li overtaking Sharapova in year end ranking by the end of the season. 2014 scenario would be no different either for Aga, she could be able to reach the no 1 spot if Li Na wasn't there during the first half of 2014, however Li Na was in great form over the next 6 months with Sharapova trailing from behind in terms of results. And then, there was a newcomer Simona Halep who rose to the top 4 rankings rapidly after her clay court showing, plus we also saw Caroline Wozniacki back into her best form after the US OPEN. I dont see much of Aga's chances as becoming the no 1 for the second time in 2014, other than during the start of the season where she could overtook Li Na for a week or two just around/ after the Aus Open but then again, Li Na was in a greater form that year for over 5/6 months (From the year end 2013 wta tour championships up until the Madrid Open 2014, the only setback failure for her during this time despite winning the Australian Open title, was her inability to win more titles due to her losses against Serena/ Sharapova during the period where Serena won 2013 wta finals, Wta Miami while Penneta won against Radwanska in Indian Wells after defeating Na Li in one of the previous rounds, and Sharapova defeated Li Na winning Madrid and also claimed the French Open title. During the mid part of the season, Kvitova was on the rise again while Wozniacki was in top form at the latter part of the season. But still, Sharapova would have become the year end no 1 not Radwanska. 2015 was more competitive between Simona Halep and Garbine Muguruza as these two were entering more tournaments with more consistent results although Kerber and Radwanska were the two players inside the top 10 with most tournaments entered but in total, their ranking points wouldnt be able to achieve higher than Halep and Muguruza for sure, and even Sharapova could have achieve no 1 results after 2015 AO while she wouldnt be able to keep up with becoming the year end no 1 because of her injury towards the end of the season although in general her results were still outstanding enough to rank higher than Radwanska. While Aga won the 2015 Wta finals, the final standings wouldnt be enough to put her at the top rankings in 2015 no matter what. Coming into 2016, it was clearly Angelique Kerber's year and if it wasnt because of Serena Williams, Kerber would have been the world no 1 for the whole season. Kerber year end ranking points over Radwanska was almost 38% higher than hers, despite the possibility outcome that Aga could have been the world no 2 for most of the 2016 season. That being said, the claim you made by saying Aga as the possible world no 1 between 2013-2016 if we take into account and imagine where between these years none of her competitions involving playing against someone being called as Serena Williams, the legend, the Goat herself, is bulls***. She wouldnt likely be the world no 1 if im just being honest, if she does accomplished that feat, she wont be on top for far too long. There were many players who could have sit on top of the rankings if Serena wasnt the dominating force that time, mainly Sharapova, Li Na, Azarenka, Halep, Muguruza, Kerber or maybe Kvitova are the other bigger threats for Aga in order to be able to complete the task. Wimbledon ‘13 was there for the taking up 3-0 in the 3rd set against lisicki with Bartoli waiting in the finals and Aga was 10-0 in sets won against her. That one hurt for sure and was on Aga’s very best surface. Granted at that point in the tournament she had played so many long 3 setters and was exhausted. Least she won the year end championship though and honestly with 20 career titles, a bunch of premier 1’s and a career high number 2 ranking, she did better than most can say. Pity she had such a bad career ending injury though. She ended 2016 on a high and 2 in the world and that injury started early in 2017. The racquet change was another disaster in 2017 too.
I think also Aga didn't have the weight of shot, because of her slight build. She couldn't hit the ball as hard, but she made the most of all the things she did have.
@@michelez715 That's correct. She couldn't be more aggresive because of the lack of strength. The only way she could show her aggresiveness was sending balls as close to the back line as possible to make her defence easier.

Radwanska is a very nice player. Unfortunately her playing style wasn’t very suitable for this era to achieve the highest. Tactical shots and precise placement could only get you so far. Nowadays tennis is a lot about power to score winners or force errors.

Sharapova didn’t get the chances she usually got with Radwanska and instead she was tricked to rally with Radwanska. Most of the balls were quite attackable. Shame, her only chance to win Miami with the opponent she usually faced.
I think it was one of the worst season for Maria. She lost so many significant finals in that year. Agnieszka was a beatable opponent for such a big final, hut she lost. She also failed those final in Melbourne, Indian Wells, Olympic games, Beijing and YEC. All in straight sets! It was a bad season for Maria.
You're looking at it the wrong way. Definitely one of the best years of Maria's career in terms of consistency. Being in so many finals in the same WTA calendar year is a HUGE accomplishment seeing how unpredictable WTA has become these days. I think the better term would be the most "frustrating" year since she had so many chances to bag those titles. You should not discredit that she became "Claypova" the clay season of 2012 by winning RG (completing her career slam), Rome, and Stuttgart. Nonetheless, reaching several big finals in the same WTA year is still an incredible accomplishment. Serena, Maria, and Vika were clearly the top 3 players of the WTA during 2012.
She won the career grand slam in 2012, where she joined only 9 other women in history to do so. It was not a bad season at all lmao. And getting to the final of a tournament is better than losing early or in QF or SF.
@@user-gu1un7pb7k she would have joined that club in 2014 anyway. Her opponent in the French Open final was Errani. Of course it was ab easy match up for her😁

Muchas felicidades👏🌹 para mi tenistas favoritas trabajaron duro ambas bendiciones😘❤🇩🇴
i want to watch all of marias aces
If Radwańska had power from Świątek...
Sharapova's shrieking is unbearable. :/
Ale wygląd już tak. 😀
Artistry v attrition
Sharapova didn’t get the chances she usually got with Radwanska and instead she was tricked to rally with Radwanska. Most of the balls were quite attackable. Shame, her only chance to win Miami with the opponent she usually faced.
When Masha looks back on the career this will be one of the matches she'll regret.
@@tranquilizer3060 She also trained at the Nick Bollettieri in Miami Florida when she was a young girl so the losses in the final would've hurt more.
Radwanska really should’ve won Wimbledon 2013…
Agree. And/or Australian Open 2014
Just in Indianwells Aga lost to Vika. 0-6 2-6 and she managed to beat Maria and win the title ..... 😮

Hi Maria Sharapova
Only remember this her choice
Машка💗💗💗
Hi Maria sharapova
I think it was one of the worst season for Maria. She lost so many significant finals in that year. Agnieszka was a beatable opponent for such a big final, hut she lost. She also failed those final in Melbourne, Indian Wells, Olympic games, Beijing and YEC. All in straight sets! It was a bad season for Maria.
She is just stubborn not to came up with plan B
WTF, this was her best year since 2006 lol.
Of course it was ab easy match up for her😁
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Does anyoneone know how Sharapova's baby is? Labour took the whole match from what I have seen here.

The summary of this match was edited by some Sharapova fan :)
Sharapova will be remembered as the screamer as will Salabenka in 2023 onwards.

She is moooore better than Świątek.
Sharapova didn’t let her win again after this defeat 😂
Meldonium?
Sharapova used doping to win
uhaha sharapova is a debilly?
