- It's September, so that means another entry in the NBA 2K series. NBA 2K24 offers a lot of the same but is still packed with content in this Nintendo Switch version. While Mamba Moments, general gameplay and performance are great, this entry might be one that you should really think about before you drop down your cash. Our review tells all.

Been playing 2K on the switch since 2K20. Only complaint is the amount of data it chews up.

I will buy it but I think that 2k could have done more in this installment, taking its work a little more seriously and developing the content that other generation consoles have but with its graphical difficulties but well, it is 2k in itself, you can't ask for more. this is like fifa these deliveries
Hows online play? Last year was pretty laggy and made it hard to play smoothly. Always felt choppy. Have they fixed the connection issues?
This is where the Switch really show it's cracks as if the previous 2K games weren't as bad enough. The focus on the PS5 and Series X|S had been Visual Concepts' goal since 2K21 as last gen versions had been getting different versions of 2K20 for 4 years now.
Sports games in general are like this though. They had been doing that since the 90s, where they would have to put toppings on a vanilla ice cream to make it look different to the weaker guys while the more new and powerful guys get different flavors every year.
Hopefully, this rumored Switch 2 can leap into the current generation so we'll have a better version of NBA2K games.

Anyone experience in mycareer when your cosmetics like sleeves socks etc. is not showing if your team is the visiting team(away)

How do you call a specific player to screen for you? What are the controls?
I was hopin at some point 2k could figure out how to get rid of the input lag on the switch..guess its not possible

I really love 2k23, im actually still playing it because ive been hesitant to make the upgrade. Can someone let me know if the gameplay is the same or just as good as 2k23 and if its worth upgrading because if it is i want to take advantage of the discount in the eShop.
Hi there, honestly, I thought I felt pretty similar to 2K23 but the Mamba Moments are nowhere near as fleshed out as the Jordan Challenges. - Danny

@KidNamedNOVA i made the upgrade and am happy to say that if you enjoyed 2k23 on switch, you will enjoy 2k24 just as much.
I need help. I was doing a my league and I needed to do an update. I did the update and it's telling me there is not enough room on my SD card. It says I need 56 GB and my SD card is 64. So now I can't play the game. Do I need a new SD card,? Will I lose my saved game if I switch cards? I can't do anything
Yeah, 64GB SD card is pretty small for a Nintendo Switch (and it will not use full 64GB even, actual capacity will be like 58-62GB), I have already upgraded twice from 128GB to now 1TB SD card. NBA 2k is such a storage hog so the minimum SD card you need to get for it is a 128 GB, but if you plan on getting more games then I think you should probably invest on higher capacity like 400GB or 512GB.
Saved game data are stored in Internal Storage, so I think they're safe
I hate how broadcast camera pans way out and comes back in, it’s ridiculous, nothing was wrong with the broadcast view for years so why tinker with it ?
Turn off key zoom in the camera broadcast settings
@@gabriel1095 … Yes I did that and then the camera won’t pan properly. When you’re bringing the ball up from the backcourt the camera will view the front of the court sometimes so you can’t even see the player bring the ball up … It’s just a shame they had to mess with the broadcast camera like they did … But that does stop the panning way out like you said , but then creates the other problem …

I’m confused.. is it possible there’s literally not enough space on my switch to download the full game? I literally have no other games downloaded and it’s telling me there’s not enough storage space to update the game.. I can’t use any features in the game except quick play
That’s correct. On the eShop page for the game, they put some very small text saying that an SD card is recommended or something like that. There’s something like 50 GB of data needed for the game. - Danny

@@TheFamicast it’s messed up, but saying it’s recommended is untrue, it’s a necessity.. rhey get away with it because technically u can play the game without it but u can only play quick play and nothing else, and even quick play is not updated properly cuz I go to the Knicks and jalen Brunson is a 78 lol I’m like what r these ratings from 2020 or something ? So I can’t even update the roster to their proper ratings without the sd card
Damn, man. I’m just a regular guy like you but the only reason I got an SD card for the system is because I play a number of different games for this channel. It’s is kinda scummy that companies with bigger sized games do this. At any rate, I hope you can at least get some kind of enjoyment out of the game! - Danny

If you just want to play single player stuff, no. If you want to compete online, yes. - Danny
Personally compared to 23 it’s a downgrade but im gonna keep playing maybe it’ll get an update

I got this game for 15 dollars back in March. 66 gigabytes digital is a lot. At least I’m not getting the next years game bc it’ll be 75+ gigabytes no cap

I miss the days of my psp and getting the smackdown vs raw 06 -2011 games.
I guess the cut scene really sours the over visuals, but it does look great in action, at least from what I can tell from the video!

I love NBA 2K for the switch but it needs more people to be playing it . They need to fix the rec. There is always a glitch in the beginning.
