The game could've been 5-0 to United if not for Lloris.
And the worst part isn't the fact that Spurs could've conceded 5, it's that they weren't even looking like they were ever gonna score with Kane and Son up top.

Spurs made themselves look that bad by just standing off and allowing United to have all of the ball. I can't remember them winning a single 50/50, they made Fred look like Kante they were so slow to react.

Spurs fans have been saying this about Spurs for a while now, they are depressingly unadventurous and allow opponents to have the ball. In recent weeks United have been hopeless at finishing off teams that sit in deep, so Conte has clearly assumed United would be as toothless as they were against Omonia and Newcastle. Finally United at least had a bit of spark about them and chipped away enough at Spurs for Fred to luck a deflection in. It still wasn't particularly convincing though, there's still no attacking patterns with United, it's the same frantic grasping that we saw under Solskjaer. Sancho in particular has no idea what to do with it and needs to take it away from goal before his brain wakes up.

Against good teams Conti’s mentality is always defensive so it is not the individuals, it is the instructions they are given, hence poor performance. Son is one of the brightest attacking player in the league but if you don’t provide him with support from midfield he is out of the game.

Mate Ive commented this on a number of Cundy/Ohara talksport videos. It's actually quite sad to see and surely the other staff/management at talksport are aware of this. It is so obvious, hiding it tonight behind having the flu. What a truly phenomenal team performance from the lads, our best of the season so far. Right from the first whistle to the final whistle we completely battered Spurs all over the pitch. If it wasn't for Lloris then we would've easily won 6-7 nil. Rashford could've had a hat trick tonight. Every player played a blinder. We needed this win after being robbed against Newcastle.

Spurs have played 3 big 6 teams and have 1 point to show for it. Arsenal lost to United but not in that manner and went on to beat Spurs and Liverpool. Liverpool lost to United and Arsenal but beat City and played well against Arsenal. Spurs have got mopped by every top 6 team they've pkayed and made to look like a championship side.
Man united beat Arsenal 8-2 in 2011 but man united dominated the game against Spurs even more last night. I’ve never seen an away team get battered like that at old Trafford in my life. Media has been very kind to Tottenham this year. As the table stands right now they have defeated 8th,14,15,18,19,20. Plus they are so tied to Conte that when he leaves at the end of the season, and he definitely will, they will fall off a cliff.
True, whereas United have played 1st,2,3,4 (next game),6,7,8,9,10. Only 2 teams in the bottom half in their first 11 games. I don’t think anyone else has had that type of run.

This was always going to happen, there is a limit to what two 30 year olds can do if they have to always counter attack to win. It is not sustainable and yes I know Kane is not 30 yet and I know Spurs have played a couple of non counter attacking football this season but Conte style of football is primarily to defend and counter attack which will make Kane age fast. Despite the defensive style of play, Spurs have conceded more goals than Brighton, Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal and City.

Tbh, I was never convinced with the Conte appointment, not that he's not a serial winner and not a good coach, just that it wasn't the dynamic that Tottenham needed, especially after Jose. I'd say Levy should try to mend his relationship with Poch and get him back and try to support him as best as he can, that guy can turn Tottenham around.
