At least I cared deeply for jar jar. Because the truth is I was born in 1998 I only saw the prequel trilogy and I don’t have much taste for the classics unless they crossover.
The only real problem with Jar Jar that didn't happen in the OT with C-3PO is that the humor 3PO added was _very_ deliberate in most of its timing. When drama unfolded -- such as during the Battle Endor -- he acted less as a walking punchline and more as an audience surrogate. Jar Jar Binks, on the other hand? Not so much. The end issue is that Jar Jar _is_ the punchline for almost _all_ of his screen time, even during otherwise dramatic moments. And that's fine; it _can_ work if done well. The execution just tended to be off with Jar Jar.

Jar Jar Binks really does represent my inner child I saw this movie when I was very young and I was that little energetic goofball who loved slapstick comedy and I am still and energetic goofball who likes slapstick comedy but of course I would love Jar Jar Binks. it was truly an unhappy day for me when I learned that the heaters weren't exactly wrong as I have as an aspiring Storyteller learned how to try to portray characters I still think Jar Jar's not nearly as offensive as some others I've seen but he is obnoxious and outside of a couple scenes does contribute very little to the overall Narrative of the film. he is not a good character but I can't bring him to hate him as related to him too much as a kid and this may make me look worse but I still find myself relating to him in particular even as an adult as he represents some of my inner child and some of my favorite forms of comedy relief in fantasy stories like these. now I have heard that he was greatly flushed out and improved upon in the Star Wars Clone Wars animated series and he's a fan favorite in darth's and droids webcomic which I still need to read so maybe there is hope for a Loser Like Me.
So. I havr been watching the old tv show. TAXI. And is it just me who finds the way jar jar binks talks. And. The way LATKA Gravas (Andy Kaufman ). Talk. At times. Kinda similar. Lol.

How can anyone dislike this? It's funny! It's nice to have a funny moment in a serious movie every once in a while. It's contrast and it's good.
