This is one of the best sounding synths I've ever heard. My phone and TV make everything sound flat and boring and this synth gets past those small speakers and grabs me by the throat

Cool i am old school analog synthesizer Lo hi filter osolater wave form stuff like that this is really good stuff to make sound track fast and easy . Still don't loose your personal touch for the music that you want to make . tod
Definitely has its own sound. If I had millions of dollars in the bank I’d get one just for fun. I have to imagine gamechanger has a great service department, because those motors look like they’re gonna need frequent tuneups. Hey but who knows, maybe they will be more reliable than digital parts.
@@lafemmedevastation I agree but having spent time building race quads, the motors can and do fail. And even though these days they aren't so costly and easier to replace than fix (in drones,) I wonder if we can repair this rig ourselves? Or replace motors?
Hmm, why would anyone complain about price when a used Hammond Tonewheel Organ made 60+ years ago could cost a multitude of dollars more (based on current market listings), the Hammond afaik is the last mass produced electronic instrument using tonewheels as a sound source. In 1957, the B3's MSRP was USD$2365, today that would be around USD$26K dollars! Talk about technology becoming cheaper, especially when an emulation of that exact organ can be achieved for free today with a PC! reminds me of the 70s solid state Wurlitzer Super Sprite (which does not use tonewheels) and would fit perfectly in an Giallo/italian horror soundtrack. Can't (justify to) afford it/uninterested? don't buy it, it's that easy! 😂

I wouldn’t buy this because of the price, maybe if I make more money off of my music but right now it doesn’t seem worth it to me but if you’re into synths, this machine will probably make it fun and if it’s fun it’ll motivate you to make more music. It’s just a different experience with actual hardware. I’m into guitars and tube amps are expensive too but at the end of the day it’s a whole different experience, it’s more fun and most of the time it sounds better.

Strangely, everyone here who hears the machine hears sounds coming out of it. but this thing itself makes so much noise from drone motors that it drives you crazy in your studio where everything is quiet when you do nothing. then this little thing is your biggest disturbing noise in your quiet studio. This device is even more annoying when there are several drones flying around close to your ears in your studio? sorry, but the person who made this device must be completely deaf by now from the non-stop high-pitched buzzing sound that this device makes and is more likely to destroy your ears with the high-pitched buzzing sound that it makes non-stop, even when it is only on and you are completely does nothing? this sound is so high that it damages your ears. instead of your hearing being caressed by clean sound without hearing drone motors flying around your head at full throttle and non-stop, in most pro studios you will not hear non-stop disturbing sounds from your equipment, humming and Making buzzing noises in your quiet studio is out of the question. but with this device in your studio you are assured of noise pollution between your beautiful sounds from other equipment that is made in such a way that it does not drive you crazy while using it. You can't say that about this motor drone synth? without helicopter blades... you'd think this thing was going to take off just by turning it on.
People pay that for a Moog or Oberheim or Prophet and this is a new design where much money and time went into developing this device, also this is pretty niche, what means that production is hard to scale up and bring the price down. Is it affordable? No, but i that wasn‘t to be expected. Is it expensive? Yes, but it has it reasons and i think the price is justified. That said, i‘d love to have one and can‘t afford it, so i’d love this to be cheaper, but that‘s how it is.

Does any get the same joy out of a computer as you would playing one of these? Its meant to inspire someone, vsts will never have that, for me at least.

I don't think you understand the concept of why people use music gear. You could make an acoustic instrument sound better than a vst, but I would never use that as an argument against vst's because I understand why people want options. It sparks creativity and to argue against it is to block other people from finding theirs.

on the MKII they're customized drone motors which are rated for like, tons 'n tons of revolutions ...my guess is you'd be good for a while.

I wouldn’t buy this because of the price, maybe if I make more money off of my music but right now it doesn’t seem worth it to me but if you’re into synths, this machine will probably make it fun and if it’s fun it’ll motivate you to make more music.
