Sir, I am watching this video after your previous one regarding middle class at risk of getting poorer. I have become fan of your hard hitting presentation, given in softest possible voice. You have impeccable quality of combining sarcasm with compassion... like a very concerned Father. Some of your sarcasms made me laugh for a very long time. I am quite sure anyone who listens to you even once, will get into reforming himself, wherever your comments are applicable.
I am not exaggerating if I say that such words of "brutally frank" wisdom are great service to whole middle class... specially the armchair complainers.
    Thanks a lot Sir!

But ur missing one point that in developed countries where middle class pay taxes they enjoy something in return. Their education nd health is of top notch quality is free. Here in india my father earns around 20l pa but we hardly get anything in return from our tax paid thats what hurts the middle class. Here in india middle class can't even expect their legal cases to be resolved within time. It takes decades for a pity case to be resolved unlike developed countries where ppl enjoy ample benefits from govt.
For the first time central govt has opened 8000 generic medicine stores nd i personally am able to save 2k pm due to that. Raj govt has announced free health care for its citizens upto certain amount nd due to that I was able to save 40k for my grandfather's treatment. If govt gives something in return middle class will feel happy paying taxes or else they nd evade taxes nd then politicians cry that we don't have enough taxes to develop

At 33 some of my friends just started earning. But I am earning, married with a kid and have taken care of my parents when both of them were diagonised with cancer almost at the same time. Had I tried to go for what all my peers did I might not have been able to do all of these things.

Being a women, i myself strongly resonate to the fact that "every women should indulge in some form of productive work beyond household chores". Indeed, homemaking is an arduous task and very satiating however a women pursuing her passion in some form, utilizing her skills and creativity, making some decent income, efficiently multitasking, caring for family and simultaneously contributing to the spouse and economy, and above all getting the opportunity to socialize is comparitively a lot more happier!
Gone are the days of hunting for "Prince Charming"... real women empowerment is to work hard and fulfill our aspirations and become independent.
Lastly....everytime a women steps out to work, she indirectly empowers another women by providing her employment as a maid, helper, babysitter etc.

Every citizen has got his or her rights to liberty ,right to equality .every educated person learns about these things in school in civics but in real life few women live equally to men .so if in laws are obstruction it ls better to live separate from them or simply ignore them .my mother is also in late 40s and all her life after marriage she was not allowed to work and worked like maid in our house and my grandparents simply used her physically and emotionally and now she has health problems which she repent a lot . While my parents are in dilemma of middle class. I always think why people think farming is not good. I think it's the best.

One thing i disagree to this video based on my life,
My grand parents are financialy independent and their medical is fully paid by my grand father's company and they have been very comfirtably living in their independent flat in the same building as us but now they are so old that living independently is not safe and also no matter how many maids or househelp they can afford to employ, it is too much pressure to handle them too (househelps try to take them for granted) for my grandparents.
Now, we r planning to shift in bigger place so that they can be safe and relaxed in this stage so after a certain age, evenif you have money for employing helps, you need loving children just for emotional needs.
Also, my mom did leave her job in an MNC to give focus on my upbringing, not because my dad was lazy, but my educated mother is actively involved in advising me on my education and the values that our family has.
If my mother was fulltime working then we might have had more money but i dont think i would have had better undrstanding of education, life, society , friends since i see my friends not being able to spend time in dicussion or even sharing their fears and struggles with either of their parents as both the parents are working fulltime and have their own jobs and careers to handle.
I am not against the idea of women working or advocating women giving up work but i do believe that after leaving the role of earning money, an educated mother can play a very important role of a mentor, guide and friend if she does devote time to do that. Yes, money might be less but its for the family to decide ifthey r ok with the amount of money father is making.
I am happy that my mother took the decision she did when i was born and i value her advise more than anyone elses as i can trust her completely to have my best interests in advising me. This trust is built on the time we have spent together as friends and not just on the fact that we r mother and son.
I hope this perspective is also considered before taking such decisions.

You are very true in terms of words of every respect, I am also living with same life with things those are useful and appropriate. Investing money in good portfolio. Thinking of cash free income from somewhere. My wife is also working and we both are managing the house work in outside of India. Slightly, disagree with the living with Parents points. After some time planning to come back to India to live with Parents (no matter what response they are giving) . I believe, Parents need the children most after the age of 70. It is not of giving money but it is matter of giving empathy, love and care from our side.

A person like me has been using Redmi Note 5 pro for close to 5 years now. I never bothered about buying a 30k smartphone or One plus or iPhone because I don't need it. People, a majority of them get carried away in buying iPhone and costly Android phones whereas a 15k smartphone is more than sufficient. I am a type of person who is a minimalistic since childhood and might remain so till the end. I don't spend on unnecessary things. I am of a simple thought process We are not here to impress people. I have never been to a Starbucks even once in my life because
In my opinion that's utter waste of money. Not forcing my opinions on anyone but just sharing a perspective. No offense meant.

Agree with all points except about keeping parents separately. If the family can save money staying together and have a better quality of life what is the need to forcibly make your parents stay away from you.

No Arjun, this is an eminently sensible proposition. I was staying in a separate house, but very near to my parents, for nearly 12 years and everything worked out well. We had a weekly visit where my two kids alongwith wife would visit them on weekend, even when I used to come weekly due to outstation posting and it worked out well.
Now my brothers son has recently married, and he has arranged a separate flat in the same apartment for him. The kids are happy decorating their home and running their life as they wish and the parents are reassured by their presence nearby. There is no khatpat and they are taking care of each other and happy.

It may vary from situation to situation. If your parents are understanding and cooperative and the tuning is there between your wife and parents then it can work out too. Although it is easier said than done but generalizing living separately as the only good option is also a bit too much. It should be a personal choice which varies from person to person and family to family depending on the situation.

Yes Arjun, like most things it is not 100% true. But mostly a little space and distance makes for greater happiness. Perhaps generation gap also kicks in. If parents have a kothi perhaps it may be feasible. Separate floors in a bungalow even better. Separate kitchen more feasible. These things let's the intermingling of cultures of the two new partners adjust without outside pressure. It also let's them workout their life and add to the joys of setting up a household as per their choices easier. Yes it will differ from situation to situation.

While I was encountered through enquiry in such schools , fee of school is 1 lacs + , for 3 year old kid only. Very surprisingly. Ab ye smjh nhi aata ki what could be the difference b/w schools jinki fee km h, aur fee jyada h ...
