    My first experience with a turbo floor nozzle was in the mid 80's: I purchased a smaller Eureka(Electrolux) canister/cylinder cleaner which was a great performer on lower pile rugs and fitted carpets... When living in the D.C. area, I gifted it to a friend who's vac had scrapped our on him(he had mostly hardwood flooring in his apartment/flat and the machine came with an excellent bare floors brush)...

    Would you recommend the turbo head for thick carpets? I have the normal head on my hetty and I find it reallyyyy hard to push on my bedroom carpet which is thick x

    • @HooverLux

      Absolutely, the different would be incredible, but I’d recommend the non genuine one to be honest.

    I think it's time for me to get a turbo brush and give it a try. I do mean a quality one because I did get a cheap one and what a mess it made. Another great video mate.

    Thanks Mr. Lux, you have just answered a question i was going to ask. The only possible advantage of the genuine head i can see, is that the fan cage looks like it's made of nylon which is smoother on the surface it contacts with while rotating, maybe this mite give longer service ? But the price difference negates that. Can i ask, what is Your opinion on the best non genuine hose, wand & floorhead set for Numatics ? Is there a brand that's the best ? Thanks.

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  Před 5 lety

      tommy hanlon Hey Tommy 👋, glad I answered your question, yes, the actual turbine is the only difference I can see, the genuine one does seem a little stronger in material, but that’s about the whole thing, if you were to be vacuuming nails and screws all day I’d say go for the genuine 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I did but a non genuine hose and connectors once for a 3m long hose, I think I got it from EBay or Amazon and I think it was sold by Espares? I think? It was over a year ago and it’s the one I use daily on the workbench doing my vids and I’m always standing on the blooming thing and it’s been fine. I know I didn’t pay much for it. Sorry I can’t be more specific 😬.

    I wish you had tried them out, on carpet with hairs trample in, to see how good or bad they are.
    my sister use to go to a marketing company, and get paid to give her opiniun on various things, one day it was vacuum cleaners, and they said after the demo' any questions, and she said why don't they make them quieter ? and they said that public think, that the noisier they are the more powerful they are. so she later bought a very noisy vacuum cleaner......
    I bought a Numatic PPH320-11 and it is relatively quiet, rather than " quiet noisy " and works a treat.

      @HooverLux  Před 5 lety

      Brian Squire Hi Brian!!!! I’ve spoken to a few people with Numatics in the States, gosh they are so expensive over there 😱😱😱😱. The slow speed on hard floors is definitely a good idea, but I did find with this, the squeegee on the back works really well, but I will try that in my next video, thanks Brian 😘

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, they’re really good, but it really depends on the pile of your carpet etc, but still way better than just straight suction 🥰

  • @NumaticHenryLover
    @NumaticHenryLover Před 3 lety +1

    Them kind of henrys, (your 2002 model) had very cheap/bad motors. They call them Ametek UDS motors. They did two variations of UDS henry, the earlier one with the rocker switch on the side but no PTO (1999-2002.) And the later one with the push button but no hi/lo (2002-2004.) you tend to see them both models pop up a lot as spares or repairs (Doesn't turn on, burnt out) but the motors that came after it were the king! Of numatic motors.

      @HooverLux  Před 2 lety

      To be honest I haven’t, I will take a look, I’ve had mine for a long time and gets used frequently and I’ve had no issues. I’ve had heavy handed people use the genuine and the fake and they both haven’t lasted long, I’ve see how people vacuum, all I can say is just try one and see for yourself.

    • @redlady935
      @redlady935 Před 2 lety +1

      @@HooverLux thanks for reply. I find it strange that the box was plain for the genuine one you ordered as usually they come in a printed box similar style to one the vacuum comes in new. But if it was ordered directly from myhenry site it must be genuine I guess. Odd.
      I'm going to risk buying a £12 one I think. That's the cheapest I can find. 😊

    • @HooverLux

      All the motorised power brushes will be better than these, but these are just so convenient and I do think they are better than just straight suction heads, but that’s my opinion 🤣

    Just had a look on the "myhenry" website and the AiroBrush shown on there is still the same design as you ordered. It would interesting to know if you now get sent the item as advertised on the website. Clearly, in terms of performance, there is no difference between the fake brush and genuine brush you received from Numatic. If you haven't already done so I think you should email Numatic International and point out that the brush you received is not the item as ordered and advertised. Furthermore, I would send them a link to this video and see how they respond.

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  Před 5 lety

      I took a screenshot of the one advertised for sale on the Numatic My Henry website. It is different in design to the one I received. Someone from YT messaged me to say that the pics on the Numatic website are CGI generated and not pics of the actual item??????? I sent an email to Numatic about this and as of yet not had a reply.

    I find the genuine new style ones don’t last as long as the old ones. My college go though 2 new style airo brushes a week. The old ones lasted years. There is a couple of Henry xtras with old style airo brushes on them and they work fine. It’s a real shame numatic got rid of the old style ones.

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  Před 2 lety

      In that type of environment they will go through them quickly. My mates mum and her friend clean offices and they went through the genuine ones at the same tare as the copy ones, so they switched and now save a fortune, they are a little heavy handed with them lol.

    Well well well. A turbo brush from Numatic, but made in China. Selling goods not as advertised. All these new (smaller and cheaper to build) models and styles of Henry. The new ex-Vax bloke, Simon Lawson, that Numatic appointed last year as their new MD is certainly imposing some of his Vax / TTI experience on Numatic products. Lawson's ultimate aim, move ALL production to China? hike prices? reduce quality even more, just like with Vax machines - it would not surprise me in the least.

    • @guitarplayerforu
      @guitarplayerforu Před 5 lety +1

      Really hope Numatic stay a true UK company, making the majority of products here. I hope leaving Europe makes some British manufacturers come back to the UK to make their stuff. After we've left it could be more expensive to make stuff abroad than here. At one time a Vax would never let you down, same with Hoover but nowadays I'd never trust one. After we've left if import taxes apply, making stuff abroad might become less attractive to British companies.

    Very interesting. Numatic is asking triple the price for the 99% same turbo head what you can get under 10 pounds.
    It's very good that you did this video so people will know.
    I have the older style genuine black Numatic Airo brush and I just don't understand how on earth they have the chevron wrong way :D Although it works well.
    I can't wait for the Vorwerk videos. What I have measured my Vorwerk vk135 is by far the most powerful clean air upright what I have. If you find it hard to push it helps a lot to set the motor speed to level 2.

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  Před 5 lety +1

      Vacuumtests to be honest I never even realised the chevron was the wrong way until recently 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, never had any issues. Side by Side the genuine and non genuine worked perfectly and even better than the old one with that squeegee on it. It’s a blooming good turbo brush.
