How Patiala lost its bright Top cops back to back ? The case of ASI Dalbir Singh gone awry !

- This is a video that flashes back into historical incidents that occurred in the Indian state of Punjab in the years 1987-88. Patiala police lost its bright IPS and PPS officers back to back in two separate incidents which were almost identical and set back the operations in the district. The first incident was the neutralizing of the then SSP Patiala Arvinder Singh Brar, a very brilliant and bright young multi talented IPS officer along with his SP KRS Gill both of whom were gunned down by separatists. They were succeeded by IPS Seetal Dass and SP Baldev Singh Brar who few months down the lane also got neutralized by their own subordinate Assistant Sub Inspector Dalbir Singh, who had a dubious past but was a favourite with TOP Punjab police brass including the then advisor to Governor of Punjab Julio Rebiero. The incidents of Patiala which happened barely few months after each other have been analyzed thread bare by Ritesh Lakhi while predominantly touching upon the rather curious and strange case of ASI Dalbir Singh who despite his shady antecedents was good with his catches and encounters even as he chose to shot his own superiors.

ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਉਸ ਲੰਘੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ। ਜ਼ੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਵਧੀਕੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ਼ ਜੂਝਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ । ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਹੈ ਜ਼ੋ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ।

When this movement started it was to help people, it has aim that state should be given some rights ,they never asked for Khalistan which Govt said n did fake encounter,people supported them.After that petty criminals came into this movement, started looting people, harassment to women,killing innocent people n people that Sikhs are doing it n they started hating this movement. These petty criminals not only looted everyone irrespective of caste or creed.That was downfall of this movement as people lost faith in them also.

Very interesting Lakhi ji, at that time I was studying in Chandigarh and staying in Punjab University. There were some students of University who were close to such people. After this incident, they also went underground.
