One of the best songs for showcasing Emma's guitar playing. While not a "shredder" or technical show-off, her superb melodic feel, and innate sense of what was right for a song put many other guitarists to shame.
First of two nights at Shinjuku Liquid Room, Tokyo. Sadly the next night in this venue turned out to be their last gig for 20 years due to the drummer's death shortly after, canceling their European tour.

Amen! Emma is one of those quiet geniuses and I've always chased her guitar styles, writing and background presence.
To me she's up there with Bernard butler, Andy Bell, Graham Coxon and maybe even Johnny Marr though that might be pushing it.

Terrible. I remember the news and it really shook me. One of my favorite bands of the early 90s. Chris was such a talented drummer too.
@@wlouisharris yeah I'm 4 years shy of being 30 myself and it's waaaay to young to leave the world. But mental illness knows no age
I like this version. Less poppy
Goodbye Chris!
