Exactly bro! I can handle an L, obviously wouldn't like it but can handle it, but that right there was beyond ridiculous!! Both 3rd & 4th string QB's hurt!! That completely took away any chances of victory or at least a good game.
When you no longer can even call a pass play at the end of the game because you no longer have a QB to throw, you know its over. It was over the first drive when the Niners lost Purdy. From that point on everything just unraveled for the Niners.
No it was over after Josh Johnson fumbled and then was concussed and out. Niners were actually still in the game for a while without Purdy. Defense is so good.
Eagles got the easiest path to a Super Bowl in history played an awful giants team that didn’t show up and wasn’t prepared then faced a 4th string backup qb in championship game who handed it off every play.

Just wacthing these highlights as an eagles fan to remember what good coordinators looked like. Just seeing this is crazy. We commited to the run last year...now we dont at all. And the only run play we have is QB draw on 1st and 20...i mean...really? Geez...i miss shane and gannon.

Last year, I did not think Hurts was going to be the Eagles Franchise QB . He was very inconsistent & didn't seem to have great passing accuracy. But all the reports coming out about him on the Eagles said he's one of the Eagles players doing the most to improve himself, working on his accuracy, watching films, studying the playbooks I was completely wrong about Hurts, and I have never seen a QB improve so much in a single year, in just about every facet of his game.

He already had it. Of the offensive line was packed the year before, you can not blame everything on the quarterback. He receivers was bad also. He only had D. Smith and the TE. Watkins and Reagor was dropping passes.

I love the way Hurts didn't force anything and just took what the defense gave him. He didn't make many big plays, but managed the game just enough and let the defense and running game lead the way. That's the sign of a SOLID QB.

The more I watch this game, the more I appreciate Jalen Hurts. He was literally taking what the defense gave him and not forcing anything for "numbers", which is where players like Dak Prescott get in trouble. Take what the defense gives you and don't make any mistakes. Who cares about the passing statistics if you're getting the wins. That man is 19 and 2 in his last 21 starts.

Really felt for the 49ers. They fought for about as long as they could through all of the adversity. It sucked that it wasnt a fair matchup by the 2nd half, I knew that Defense was only going to be able to hold on for so long. That has to be frustrating to be the #1 Defense and your offense falls apart unable to do much of anything. Hopefully now this will be a rivalry for the next upcoming years.

We all knew it was over once Purdy went down. I'm not a fan of either team, but hats off to the 4th string guy who was thrown to the wolves. He hung tough until he was knocked out, literally.
He had guts but that’s about it. Couldn’t catch a snap or throw a screen. Guarantee he was at least partly relieved that he got to exit that game early.
Honestly, I think Purdy's injury just saved his career. They might give him the starting role next year because i feel like that the organization may see that they could have won that game had he not gotten injured. If he played, the whole game and lost badly, then he may go back as a back up to Trey Lance. Something to think about.

The offense looked terrible the second half because the eagles knew he couldn’t throw a pass and played their defense accordingly. I hope he’s recovers and his injury isn’t serious. he definitely earned a start next year.

I knew it was done the moment Purdy got injured. As the commentators said, eventually you run out of cards and just can't build a hand. Purdy was essentially the last card in the deck. It's actually for the best that the Niners lost this one, now they can get their players healthy again and put up another run next year. They would have been destroyed in the Super Bowl this depleted anyway. Still...a very enjoyable season!

The players also will be going into the game remembering what happened last time, and it was a messy game at the end in terms of player conduct. 49ers will play with a vengeance whenever we next play them.

Eagles hate is hilarious. Look at the Niners divison. Cardinals, Seahawks, and Rams went a combined 18W/33L this season. Purdy never had a chance, and if he played the whole game would have more than a UCL to worry about. That Eagles defensive line ate even when the game was 7 to 7. No one wanted to see Purdy get hurt. Purdy got hurt because the blocking scheme sucked. Sweat and Reddick are the fastest pair of D ends in the league and Graham is a beast as well. Cox, Hargrave, Williams, Suh, Joseph and Davis are great on the interior. They will get after any O line in the league. The game was a mismatch on both sides of the ball and the better team one.

Heartbreak? Our Dline showed why those 70 sacks matter. We scored 4 rushing TDs agains the #1 defense and held them to 7 when they have been great rushing the ball all year. Hell even Deebo couldn’t make a play.
