I know the movie was a flopp..But was the childhood of a lot of us!
MAN!!! The memories this movie brings back!! I remember my mom bought me a frisbee, I thought it was a glaive, I would get into trouble for throwing it at my sisters..
😂 cool story about your sisters used as Glaive target practice! fond memories for me, especially Xmas day, this and the empire strikes back. 80’s kids had the best ❤

My absolute favorite 1980's fantasy SCIFI movie with the coolest weapon ever... THE GLAIVE!
Yeah but it didnt do sheeit at the end. It was the fire of love that killed the beast. I hated this ending.
They could have done so much more with that throwing blade.
But NOPE....SORRY....THE BLADES DIDNT DO SHEEIT. MAN I WAS SO MAD AT THUS ENDING. I HATED IT.
@@poorcollectibles4827 Actually, the Glaive did its job. It helped Colwyn in fighting the Slayers. It cut through the prison that Lyssa was held in.
I agree, though, it would have been nice to have seen more footage of the Glaive. The reason why there weren't any additional scenes with the Glaive is due to cost. The special effects at the time were state of the art, and it cost a fortune to shoot the Glaive scenes that were already there.
This movie is still so beautiful.
Actually have the original Krull movie poster in my office. My most nerd iut swag I own and its oh so drippy with nostalgia.

You all know someone is going to remake this thing, BECAUSE THERE IS AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE, UNHEALTHY OBSESSION WITH MOVIES FROM THE 1980s. It's like all original creative thought died at midnight on December 31, 1989.
And to think that by the time Marshall played Eddington on DS9, which was roughly 10 years later - that luscious hair was almost gone.
Holy cow!, I never would have guessed Eddington was the same person. Watched DS9 multiple times (I own the series) and never recognized him as the same person.
I recognized Ken Marshall’s voice and those cheekbones when I first saw Michael Eddington. Too bad about the hair.
Watched in the theater back in the 80s! Very...Vagnerian!
Beautiful score brilliant memories as a kid, you actually cared about the characters in this movie, the firemares are my favourite

Lot of the cast reappears in the Dune by David Lynch.
The movie where the main hero was an unlikeable D-bag yet every supporting character, monster, prop, and setting as well as the score was totally fantastic.
What do mean? The Glaive was legendary, like no hero ever before or since.
He heroically sacrificed himself so the sidekick could get the girl! Now he waits until he is needed and sought out once more.
