Give me a cool levitate effect at all times and a small void or light halo on my head, so I can transmog tier 13 and call my mates "mortals". That would perfect it.
I think Archon is a nice non intrusive build that has some interesting implications on beefing up Priest CDs! I think if they added a bit more visual flair it will really be a banger but as a shadow main I’m sold 🤩
Halo is such a weird choice for the Archon. SP are not really playing with Halo over Divine Star right now, so they just picked some unwanted ability, designed the hero talents around it and increased the cooldown by 20 seconds (wtf???). A 1 minute cooldown being this important feels also really awkward - it's not a short CD, but also not to long. The hero talents could use something to proc extra Halos or reduce the cooldown of the ability, because pressing Halo once every minute for a medium boost feels and plays really bad in my opinion. Looks pretty rad tho, gotta admit that
@@alihorda It may be bugged at one point or another, but halo doesn’t hit those that you’re not engaged in combat with. It’s not SUPPOSE to. If it does, not working properly.
Honestly kinda disappointed about it, I think they could have played more into the thematic of ascended state with void form or apotheosis and having them come back up from cd
Voidweaver is amazing, and I’m not complaining at all about it, but I think they could have went in a different direction to make it more thematic personally
@@rshs5821 bro shut up lol its alpha we are supposed to give feedback. Just because one talent is cool doesn't mean we shouldn't want the other one to be made just as cool. Weirdo.
It's a very cool tree but it's very weird that divine star is completely ignored. If halo was a baseline spell I would have been less surprised but as is it feels like divine star should have had a similar treatment maybe a machine gun version of it where you shoot multiple projectiles back to back or something. Still the concept of the halo behaving like waves is very sweet. There's a pretty big concern regarding visual clutter though for other players. Imagine in raid having 3/4 holy/shadow archon priests casting halo at the same time . ..
I think it needs more halo. Maybe replace flash heal with halo and rejuv/prayer of mending ticks trigger halo? With the 5 additional halos each time of course.
Kinda sad divine star wasn’t the focus of the tree instead of halo. Imo divine star is just more interesting for both specs, plus they could’ve done some cool stuff with shooting multiple divine stars on a proc, similar to the Anduin fight stars. They could’ve even used the Anduin stars vfx since the black and white visuals fit both holy and shadow
i wish it altered the spell effects of apoth and voidform/dark ascension. Like they already look epic but they could be even crazier looking. Apotheosis turns you into a valkyr, void eruption turns you into a void lord or something. idk theres so much potential here
I am sad that NOTHING in either hero talents interacts with shadow dots. Like bro, SWP and VT are the most iconic abilities of SP alongside mindblast and nothing?
I was hoping they would tap into the archons from StarCraft these being of massive energy powers and leaning into the holy archon / shadow archon energy beings
For how long it took them to bring out Archon over voidweaver, I feel like they spent all their time and efforts on voidweaver and was like o wait we forgot Archon...give them a pulsing halo and we're good. I mean even the icon is just the priest icon lol shows how much effort they put into this spec for how long it took to come out
Man, this is kinda cool I guess but I was expecting something that actually beefed up our forms or maybe something inbetween Surrender to Madness and the Kyrian Ascended Form, not just the "add 3 seconds to your form" we're currently getting.
What happened to the Kyrian ability, Boon of the Ascended? That's what I expected from Archon. Something that transforms you into a demi-god for the duration. Augment your Apotheosis and Voidform. Halo is just weird.
So just independent of what the actual gameplay is, I really feel like the fantasy of being an "oracle" has a lot more to do with Shadow than with either of the other trees. Like... almost every "prophecy" we've seen in lore has come from the old gods or their minions. The exception there, of course, being Xe'ra's prophecy for Illidan, which didn't come true.
How are the old gods prophecies really any different? Their gimmick is spouting endless shit until something inevitably comes true. But, for the sake of lore, I'm pretty sure we only hear about the ones that actually happen in some fashion.
I think the main issue will be how this can be balanced with the same talent baseline being functional, when its multiplying its power by a factor of 6. Granted, its not like amping up the power of a bread and butter ability by a factor of 6, but I suspect its still going to leave the baseline talent being necessarily weak.
Visually, I find it kind of underwhelming, specially after all the "you enter into an ultra-cool mega powerful archonic form..." which we do not see anywhere. Do not get me wrong, the rebounding halos are kind of cool... but they are not a super absolute-cool ultra spectaculary form. Anyway, I hope its simply that the new total-archonic form is not implemented yet. Also, I prefer to play with Divine Star for mobility in M+... and I find Oracle unable to compete with this tree, plus I dislike it, even after the rework, tbh.
I much prefer this to the others for priest but tbh it's next to no gameplay impact and extremely boring thematically. The halo changes look cool but I won't notice them after a few days. "What it I was 10% more priesty" is not an exciting talent tree. I was really hoping they'd tie it into holy words or just make it a passive permanently pulsing effect while in combat. This is just 'continue to press it on cd'.
Never been a fan of either of Halo or Divine Star so I'm going in unimpressed with a focus on one of them. Not the best of starts sadly. Thematically I think it's weak. Halo does not have any ties to being an Archon or the flavor text associated with the Hero spec. Nor does it have any thematic or previous mechanical synergy with Apotheosis ,Sanctify, Dark Ascension or Void Form and what it gains in this new tree is very weak flavor wise and mechanically unimpressive. And personally I don't care for the visual effect of either Halo either. For Holy it feels very AoE focused. If not for the other option being the rejected mess it is I don't know if I would want to bring this to a Mythic dungeon or PvP Arena. Same thing for a Shadow with dingle target Raid encounters (majority of them). Those are some big aspects of the game where this tree has left me wanting. It looks to be a Hero spec that may be good in some areas but trolling levels of bad in others. One will always be better in any given area of the game but this one is looking to be very extreme rather than just being a bit worse on paper. Now the return and focus on player aspect could be fun if it had been on a better suited class. Priest doesn't have any teleportation abilities to make the extending or retracting circle hit the same target multiple times which could have been a fun if probably not worthwhile skill expression. Also the "Additionally, the radius of Halo is increased by 10 yards" in the Keystone ability is laughable. Halo starts with a 30 yard range, I.E. 60 yard radius, meaning we have a 5 yard range increase on spell that in its default state feels like it hits everything from here out to the next boss arena as long as it is in combat. Yeah it's a bonus but it's the most unimpressive "this will punch this ability to new greatness" modifier imaginable.
I cannot fathom that there is no actual developing into an archon. The SC Archon is mint. Steal that IP. Light/Void models. Imagine your Archon form triggered Halo pulse. And Void Torrent aoe. Or ANYTHING other than the absolute no archon at all. BLIZZARD WTF. Are you not sick of missing thematic opportunities yet?? 😳🤦🏻♂️

now that's a "whoopsie, I pulled half the dungeon through the ceiling"-prototype. XD
I'm sure they designed the new dungeons to facilitate these kinds of abilities right? ...right?
Halo doesn't damage any mobs unless you're in combat with them, so you won't pull random stuff

greeting and tnx for all vids
My money is Shaman hero talents released into Alpha early 2025, come at the cost of tier sets for the second and third raids in TWW
and both play around primordial wave

You’re so right. I would enjoy it so much more if the exact same spec was divine star instead of halo.
Doesn’t come all the way back in.
For holy would this help their AOE heal for M+? I thought their weakness was that they're kinda focused on single target heals mainly

it's a cool way to slightly augment how you play, but archon and the flavor they wrote doesn't fit whatsoever.

Shoulda just turned halo into Archon Form from shadowlands and worked around that.

as a divine star enjoyer, this is kind of a kick in the balls, like couldn't you make it work with both spells?
Very cool shit
Wouldn't this pull unwanted mobs in M+ or the overworld?
They'll probably treat it like boomkins starfall
Iirc halo already only affects mobs you are in combat with, similar to starfall.

I feel sorry for Holy in TWW, when Archon is the less shitty hero talent
Maybe to match the theme and not force you into halo, it could be more alone the lines of the 3 halos go off once you hit apotheosis
On paper this all looks so nice but to balance them? i aredy can see they will be a bugfest with all this skills..
