Nice to see eyesight is finally on a manual.

Australian spec’ car has the foldable mirrors but you have to operate them by a switch at the very top of the panel on the drivers door, I found the switch by accident. The mirrors have automatically folded out for me once but I’m not sure how I managed to do that!
The TS spec can be ordered as an automatic here and the car has puddle lights and maroon contrast trim like the Japanese market version.
Thanks for your video, I learned something!

"My Subaru" app works to unlock/lock, flash horn/lights, locate the BRZ...

I hear that it's a subscription service, which is annoying, granted that new owners get it for something like 3 years

MSRP 26K from where lol? You won't find it under 35k where I'm at!

Carmax has them for 33k super low mileage then at my dealer is 36k yeah, shouldn’t be hard to find MSRP one for 35k or less. But 26k new unlikely unless you custom order it with zero options.

It's beautiful. I love the front, hate the engine.

the engine is great. high revving, linear powerband, good response, low center of gravity because of its design, and great weight distribution. The oil pressure issue is exaggerated and there have been fewer than 20 confirmed failures, all of which were being abused on track, mechanically overrevved and many many other variables impossible to blame on the engine. i know of many who enjoy them every single day without issue, i know a guy who put 66k miles on his in ONE YEAR. Literally zero issues.

Background is my other car has 8 cylinders and automatic. Almost any manual these days is outpunched from traffic lights but auto boxes. I have a rev limit set at 3,500 until through break in but I’m finding it had great power delivery and is quite quick, these things hold speed so well because they just handle so beautifully, the Michelin Pilots are noisy but heaps of grip.
I actually love the dark dak motor, it feels like I’m actually driving a car instead of sitting in bus getting from A to B … the V8 is also fun because I can bully my way through most situations in it … I own 6 cars at the moment, some don’t run mind you.

Put the premium hood struts on it. I put them on my new Forrester Wilderness and took the cheesy hood prop rod off

If you buy one, and they are indeed fun, change your oil frequently and far more than either Toyota or Subaru "asks" of owners of the FA24 and FA24 Turbo engines. And I saw this as a current 2024 WRX owner.

    • @J_S209

I changed the engine oil at 600 kilometre using a genuine filter and crush washer, I just used ramps to get under, quickest oil change ever …. The salesman advised me to change the oil very often, every 5,000 kms.
