I feel like filofax and rings are having a big moment in the planner community. Every account I support on CZcams and I.g are in them, and I'm definitely enjoying it! I love seeing how everyone puts their own personal touch on their planners.
After spending (!) on bound book planners (plural), I switched to rings and it is working out so much better so seeing all these channels doing the same is giving me this feeling of having others on this journey with me! 😊
I’ve noticed the same on Instagram. I feel like rings are having their moment, and I’m very tempted to join in, even though I hated them in the past. 😂
@CrimsonKas haha! I know. I was never tempted by rings but got tempted and joined the ring frenzy. I have to say I'm having fun playing with a completely different system. I'm not sure how long it will last on my part, though.
@Quinkerbell_3604 definitely fun joining in on the rings popularity. I've set up a pocket rings myself but I'm not ditching my b6 common planner. Still love a book bound planner :)

I love seeing the filofax info dumps! back last summer I started watching your videos and watching you explore different methods of journaling and memory keeping also had me inspired to do the same thing. I ending up buying myself a vampire themed A5 binder last September and I've been journaling in it ever since, better than I have in any bound journal I've tried. I use mine as a safe place, so I do all of my journaling in it but once it gets too full I archive the "noise" and leave in the parts that bring me comfort or that make me happy to look back on and then progressively add to my journal. I just keep everything dated so I know which order to put things in at the end of the year when I archive everything.
Anyway, all that to say that seeing you come back to the filofax and talking about it the way that you do makes me feel so happy 💖🦇
So happy that two-tone is working for you. Metal colours are so rarely optional; it can be so frustrating to keep them unified. I remember being young and overhearing a random daytime television designer saying that any two colours can go together if there is one item that has both colours in the visual space. in regards to gold safety pin earrings: as someone who pretty much exclusively wears gold safety pin earrings, i've gotten my pieces from ana luisa (plain pins) and en route (pins with pearl accents) and they all hold up extremely well ! they're comfortable to sleep in and all of them have held up to wear whilst showering and swimming in the ocean. they both also ship internationally so i'd definitely recommend looking into their collections :o)

If it's not too nosey or something, could you once share your experiences growing up, specifically about what adults did that you found helpful? A lot of what you have shared seems to resonate with my 7yo's preferences and though they have a different diagnosis, I would love to know how I can best accommodate those. I know there are resources but hearing it from a real person (and one as well versed and experienced as you!) would be immensely helpful. No idea if I'm wording that right, I'm ND myself. 😅
And yes, hyperfocus can be almost compulsive and I love the joy acting on it brings me. I guess part of it is the fear that it disappears or that I forget what I wanted to do. The rest is probably the dopamine.🤭

I’ve always enjoyed the dark, spooky, and gothic, and I’ve sometimes wondered if narcolepsy has influenced it and if my sleep paralysis and hallucinations are influenced by my fascination with it in a sort of never-ending loop. Sleep and vivid dreams play such a major part of my life, I think it makes sense. When you feel like so much of your life is spent in between sleep and awake, it makes sense to me that one would develop a fascination with the spooky and paranormal.

what a queen of cinematography and those nails 🫢 missed watching you draw. the cartoon page gave me chills, my loves! been thinking about mona the vampire if it translates just like that haha. so loved her as a kid. oH been meaning to read keith haring's journals! think there used to be a tumblr account posting excerpts from it that i just loved. 🕸 only distantly related but there's this big biography on derek jarman that i used to take around with me on the book wagon when i was working to flip some pages in at the library. the front or back cover has him depicted as the emperor/empress i think! a really striking photo, yeah it comes up on a google of his biography it's the back cover and it's written by tony peake. now that i'm thinking about it i think he also had his sketch-notebooks published!! 📓 there used to be this documentary by a friend around his passing that the director posted on youtube i think, so so moving wonder if it's still out there in the depths of youtube that would be well worth a rewatch in my book 👁👁 still itching to watch the last of england! just realized that there's a striking resemblance with the stills to the my chem video where everything's setting more and more on fire with the black parade float, which is fun because i just pondered the oddness of that one yesterday haha. animals who exist in the sand or something?? zodiac nutters to an extend maybe but make it like a fable? love em!! oh and jarman's jubilee looks so up my alley too! 🕸 love the sensation i get from seeing all the pages in. have like this pink, red, metallic green colorstory going on along with the raspberry of my planner, it's feeling very whimsical and also kind of cartoonish to me. love the silver-gold-pearl and the poke gentle fun approach 💌 may have to do the bath trip for the jane austen of it all sometime
