The talking segment is NEVER too long. In fact, if you ever wanted to just blabber on, I’d listen to any length of talking segment. 😂 I love the content for while I art journal and do less thinking intensive tasks and find your voice to be soothing company. Truly my comfort CZcamsr as of late ❤

The struggle of working in the space you sleep, especially with a sleep disorder, is daunting to say the least. I change the lighting in my room according to when I’m working and when I’m resting. I’ve found it helps to change the atmosphere when transitioning into sleep time. That sofa looks amazing and I hope it works out for you!

this might sound like absolutely too much work, but i think you should try to make your own archive binders with some kraft chipboard and then cover them in a fabric/paper you like. it's almost like bookbinding. i would recommend searching for the 3 rings (you can even get them in gold

I'm a TN girl now but what I did when I used Filofax was just to bind the pages passing string through the holes in the pages. Make a sturdier page for the first and last page and that's it.

this is only the second video of yours i've seen but i really enjoy the talking segment, especially because of the repetitive but also relevant visuals. lots of people i watch have voiceovers over a large variety of clips but i like how i can just watch you doing a repetitive task, the audio is interesting and stimulating enough while the visuals are calming and draw me in.

i am using rings. when i am ready to archive i just use loose rings and cardstock cut to size to create a cover. i will either leave the rings or stitch bind through the holes. you can also get loose binder rings in different sizes too. they usually come in a pack so you have a lot for multiple years.

Planner pages storage: there are creators who used ring book binder clips to hold the pages. I’ve seen them collage a cover page to represent the year and laminate it in a thick laminate for stability. If you use this method, your archive book can be different sizes depending on the rings you use. Hope this helps.

definitely a sentimental journaler 💯 cannot fathom throwing away my pages- it gives me actual anxiety. i saw you mentioned you're only finding a6 clear binders and a thing to note is that sometimes people will call the personal binders "a6" so that could be something to look into. i have two clear "a6" binders ready that i bought and thats how im planning on archiving my inserts (and they fit the personal wide fine as well). another thing i thought about was binding them at the end of the year but that's definitely more labor intensive.

I don’t know if this will be helpful information to you or not, but I have had lots of sleep issues throughout my life, struggling with falling asleep and staying asleep, nightmares, sleep paralysis, etc. and I got a sunlight lamp last year that has really helped me fall asleep. I got mine from hatch, but there’s a bunch that exist and there is something about the light going off slowly without me having to think about turning it off that really helps me wind down and it plays a guided sleep meditation and such as it does so. In case you haven’t heard of those or it sounds helpful I thought I would share :)

I personally used the brass fasteners/tacks you'd use in elementary school. The ones that you fold the prongs out. I folded a sheet of cardstock over (I used A6) to make a book cover with holes punched in alignment with the loose pages, then fasten it all together. I used that method because I wanted small, yearly quarter (4 month) stacks. The fasteners are a bit bulky so I would alternate the direction of each stack. I put them in a kraft shoe box sized box from the craft store. I specifically used A6 size because I wanted to put them in the same box as my completed A6 bujos so as I was alternating methods I could put them in chronological order instead of one box for bound books, the other for loose pages. I haven't used ring planners in three years, though.

Hi! You mention checking PVC and that they are often a6 size. I would check the dimensions because a lot of shops call personal "a6" because they have 6 rings. The PVC binders you find might be the right size but called the wrong thing.
Also amazon (at least US) has sets of free rings where there's three rings attached to a spine and you'd use two to hold all 6 holes of a personal page and then youd just have to make cardstock or acetate covers. I'll try to link them!

I love your videos so much and the talking segment too because I feel so understood by you!
Ever since I was a child journalig has been one of my special interests. I remember you said in one video that returning in filofax and trying to make it work was like your jigsaw puzzle over the holidays. And it has always been the same for me too - My parents would sometimes receive planners as gifts and then re-gift them to me or I would receive a pretty notebook - and I would set on a mission to come up with an idea to fill in that planner/notebook and set up a system within it that works. That in itself was so much fun to me. And I've really never met anyone as passionate about it before discovering your CZcams videos. So that's why I like listening to you! Because I get the excitement you feel when you come up with a new solution for you system. Even though I won't ever be using Filofax, I love watching your videos nonetheless because I finally found someone as passionate about memory keeping as I've been since I was a child. It's very comforting.
So please don't worry too much about pleasing your audience. We all love journaling and it's fun hearing about different systems. Not to mention how aesthetic your videos are! It's always a pleasure watching them. So talking segment, no talking segment - you do you and we'll love it ❤

Is there an option as in buying some rings like in the binder for archiving and make a folder to stick that in yourself?
I just thought sometging like that of the company you bought it from, should be makeable yourself? Its just the question if you can make it yourself in a way you like and is durable enough?

FYI - Alternate binder storage idea
In US, so these are US names for things, but you can make ANY size storage for your rings pages with some book rings/binder rings and a clear or white flexi (thin) cutting board/mat (I get mine from $1 Tree, but Walmart has similar). Cut the mat down to the size you want (I do mine a little bigger than the pages) x2, punch holes where you want them, and assemble with the rings - you can flip through it and if a ring pops loose, there are others holding it together so it doesn't explode on you. I did this for awhile before getting Covey storage binders (can find in thrift stores in the US sometimes too). It's not the most elegant solution, but it works and it's pretty cheap, especially if you are still on the fence about rings. You could probably replace the cutting mat with heavy laminated sheets or even a type of chipboard or maybe even cardboard, but then your 'covers' are going to get pretty thick - doesn't work for me, but might for you.
Happy improvisation and be well :)

It's so strange, I also have been sleeping on my sofa too! For the last month and a half. I have problems staying asleep but no problems initially falling asleep, and found that my issues decreased during the time that I was sleeping on the sofa instead of my bed. I switched back to my bed two nights ago and am tracking if my issues spring up again.

think it's about troubleshooting the amount of space needed to hold certain types of data or length of writings and how much customizability can be made to fit in there? pros and cons with both type of deal i think

Omg. No. Don’t pay 50. Have a friend ship it from the US. It will be cheaper.
