I know it doesn't seem like it, but I actually tackled working on this video far earlier than usual; so a good chunk of this vid was done for like... A week? But I wanted to practice animation, so I used this project as an excuse to do so
I've mentioned it before, but in order to keep my sanity whilst video editing nowadays, I need to do things that are outside of the normal editing workflow that I typically do. In this case, it was animating some models

I tested Gyre when she came out and accidentally instantly deleted 20 level 95 grineer wardens by using her 2 with her 4 active

She also got a “fix” since then that made her 4 have an internal cool down per tick. Unfortunately I don’t think that would be possible in her current state
@@austingarrett3334 It had an internal cooldown from the start, but at one point something happens while playing her that the cooldown gets a fucking stroke and decides to go on vacation, suddenly shooting one enemy makes God's judgement rain upon every enemy in the area with red math going crazy everywhere.

@@tonyoliver2684 the problem with Khora is that while she does work a lot better than Gyre the underlying issues are that she requires stat sticks to make that work and the problem with stat sticks is that DE keeps trying to nerf them because they don't like the ideology of people using weapons to boost abilities that deal damage

gyre is really on the weaker side of the list of current warframes to be honest.
You say especially the amprex, but consider the following; Gas/electric phage. 7 beams at base, affected by multishot. You get hundreds of procs in just a couple seconds, it even has viral built in!
Tbh i’d say consider any status beam weapon. My vermisplicer proced the bolts a lot

Ok on the first ability thing, unfortunately it's just RNJesus deciding on if you'll get shocky toppie or not. Sometimes it'll deepfry some poor SOB and stack crits, and sometimes it takes a few sparks to make it crit.

I was building Strength Duration on Volt and when I ulted there were 2 corrupted Grineer that took 0 damage and I thought it was probably normal because of Armor until I saw 2-3 Moa's do the same thing until I used my 1 on them

btw, you can turn anyone who likes massive ability range into a loot grabber frame by using the helminthed vortex ball. It breaks all crates in it's massive radius and collect their drops pretty much. so, thanks to her twin's absorption into helminth I can now be a loki main during my syndicate medal hunts by just having the balls handy.

Honestly that glitche is the only thing that made her worth using. She’s a vastly inferior DPS frame now.

About Arcsphere's inconsistent electric procs, I believe it's because of line-of-sight. Enemies in a group bodyblocking each other, and if the LOS is based on their feet, then the Arcsphere "can't see" those enemies to deal its damage per second; the damage ticks on them from your testing appear to be from Electric proc's 3 meters DoT.
There is a way to circumvent this: throw and deploy an Arcsphere in the air, so it can see everything clearly from up above. But, this effectively reduces the spherical radius that applies the damage due to enemies preferring to walk on the ground, and the plasma globe's spherical curve, so use with caution!
I've found that Gyre is really good at Sanctuary Onslaught. You can easily group chumps together and lock them in electric proc hell with 1s. Cathode Grace -> Coil Horizon -> Arcsphere x3 -> Rotorswell effectively grinds enemies.
And, with a high-scaled sphere, you can keep tossing enemies in with Coil Horizon.
Gyre's great.

Maybe Arcsphere can only deliver the shock status to a certain number of enemies per tick and picks them at random.

If I were to guess what’s happening with arcsphere it’s that it divides up probability. So when it’s one enemy it’s 100% that enemy gets a proc, when it’s 2 it might be 50% each get a proc, when it’s 4 it’s 25% etc etc. The numbers might be different and the reduction rate might be non linear I don’t really know
Fun fact: gyre is dead in steel path while volt is good there and they're not similar at all but... If u have a volt and a gyre in one team gyre will gain a 300% critical damage dou the (step mom) mod.
Harrow had to suffer for years and sacrifice several augments so that Gyre can live. Beautiful.

Gosh I really loved Gyre the first few days I got her.
THEEEN they “fixed” her fourth ability cooldown.
I don’t use the quotes because it wasn’t a fix (it was), but instead because it was an immense nerf to her dps, so I prefer to call it a “nerf”
It never mentioned the cooldown in the ability screen, so how was I supposed to know it was accidental?
I feel like I just one a lottery, but they accidentally gave me twice the amount I was owed, and stole 90% of the money I was given

Well, initially the issue wasn't *only* that it didn't have a Cooldown, it also made it so that sometimes it *always* Cooled-Down; sometimes it would do nothing whatsoever, sometimes it would be amazing

Another good thing about her three is that if your companion inflicts a status it also counts towards you inflicting a status leading to more seconds on the clock

I get the feeling that the proc issue for her 1 is a combination of things, including number of enemies and range+ a touch of RNG that likely only kicks in once you have more than 1 target
Oh boy the range and chains on this does bring me great memories of a certain ukulele wiping out an entire map full of aliens in a planet while also killing the entirety of my frame rate. You're gonna need a bigger Ukulele

Hey Trib! I’ve been so exited for this video, as I too think Gyre is really fun and good. Would you consider updating your two tiers lists that you made for warframes with all of the new ones that have released?
Her 3 is currently bugged. It stops giving energy and crits for... Reasons. Don't know what reasons, but reasons. I only know it has to do with you not being host. After looking back at it, I think this is my problem with her. She sucks because her main damage ability is bugged.
Creating an animation by just filming an editing program is like.. sometimes humans just reinvent shadow theatre, and that's wonderful
The electric procs from Arcsphere seem to trigger from the electrical tendrils so its more consistent the closer the enemy is to its core
dropping 4 forma on an amprex the morning i saw her augment (oh my god the augment) & spamming sanctuary onslaught over and over to level it up was actually fun for once, really good frame for pillage too since she goes hard with ability strength and can handle one or even both of the corrupted mods + the aura, you don't need to wrangle corrosive into a build that relys heavily on getting lots of electric procs + makes up for her otherwise bad shield gating viability, add zenurik ontop of her innate energy regen and she can spam it like crazy
also bonus for the amprex option, gets around most line of sight issues making her able to keep 3 & 4 going in groups, not perfect but makes it workable

So...Gyre is the Volt we all wished we had got at the start when we say 'lightning based' frame.
I feel like the whole "SHE has to kill enemies and that's the problem" is kind of a redundant problem. Its more accurate for harrow, who is a supporting buff frame than it is for a DPS frame like her. If a DPS frame has that problem then its okay because well... She wasn't necessary anyway. If a buff Warframe has that problem? Then he won't be able to do his job as well
For any who see this now and are curious. For defense or other sit around missions you want range, strength and duration. For others where you move alot...strength and efficiency let you throw balls while on the run
her visual is just incredible. probably the prettiest frame in the game
So, a thought on Arc Sphere and why you were getting those funky results with the Electric Procs.
Maybe (and this is a theory) the chance of Arc Sphere to proc Electricity is actually 100%, divided by the number of enemies in the sphere? That would explain why you’re getting guaranteed procs with a single enemy inside Da Orb, but all of a sudden having that second enemy join makes the Electric proc chance be a coinflip for both enemies, 33% for 3 enemies, so on and so forth. That would also explain why, with a bunch of enemies inside the orb, you occasionally get 0 procs per tick, and other times you get multiple procs - multiple rolls of RNG are landing either in (or out) of your favor.
I had a similar idea but to a less extreme.. a small subtraction to SC per enemy past the first

On release, lightning bolts from her 4 had no cooldown to proc (currently they can appear once per second), so if you picked up Ambassador, Amprex or any high crit weapon with high rate of fire she nuked entire rooms in blink of an eye. DE nerfed it calling it a 'fix' for her 3's buff stopping working for no reason but it still does xD
3:55 Ah, I see people still forget that her ball becomes a slash proc, so there's rarely a need to ever charge it past 20k (press 1 on the same enemy twice) even in steel path.
So, sit through the 1 animation twice, sit through the 4 animation, charge 1 and sit through the throw animation, to get done about as much as a single Bramma, Zarr, Ogris, Tonkor, Envoy, Lenz, Sporelacer, Plasmor, etc. shot.
I don't think anyone's forgetting anything. She just sucks

It seems that this vid was made before Gyre got her 4 "fixed". The lightning hit more rapidly than once every 1 second after the fix which significantly reduces her dps.
I tested her and I think Volt will still be more popular than Gyre because he has better niche than she does. Volt is still a meta in Eidolon and speed boost for team is a rare ability that only him and Wisp can reliably provide. Gyre has good cc and damge but there are plenty of frames who are better than her at those departments. Adding poor surviability on top, Gyre will have a hard time competeting against other dps frames.
… but Red Crit tho

Trib’s videos vicariously give me more energy than a powdered sugar laced can of Orange Horned Cow. I love it.
For the inconsistencies with procks for ark sphere i think this is what's happening, de has programmed it such that the probability of an enemy getting procked (in %) = 100/no. of enemies.
But they have forgotten to add the caveat that at least one enemy should get shocked. So let's say there are 6 enemies and if you roll the no. 6 you get shocked, the computer just rolls the dice every tick and if multiple enemies roll 6 then those enemies get shocked, if no one rolls 6 no one gets shocked.
i like gyre but keeping her alive in late game is a real challenge without helminth. i could do a decaying key shield gating abuse thing but i personally hate that playstyle and see it likely getting removed eventually.
Unlikely. I've done that with Grendel for since shield gating became a thing.

Teamates killing an enemy applied by a status you placed always has counted as a kill for that person it’s called kill sharing so the description on the ability is not lying it is accurate, it is not a bug

I believe the procs from Da Orb come from the actual tendrils tagging a target
Probably too late for this to matter, but I think it's possible that it treats the status on *DA ORB* much like how it works on weapons. If there is only one target, they get the full proc chance. If there is more than one enemy, the proc chance is divided between all of them with each having an independent calculation for the proc.
For instance, having 3 enemies in the radius would result in each of the enemies having 33% chance to get proc'd regardless of whether their peers did or not. This may result in some cases where none of them get proc'd, cases where all of them get proc'd or, the most likely case, only one or two getting proc'd.
That said, it seems like the percentage chance for enemies to get the proc is still pretty high even when there's a lot of enemies in the radius, so maybe there's some behind the scenes probability weighting happening to ensure that enemies can't just overwhelm *DA ORB*'s proc with sheer numbers?

Instantly getting an additional 10 Electric stacks on every enemy is a nice way of increasing her damage output
