Concept for the Squid-drive improvement: tighten up the turn radius and make it BETTER to ride than a k-drive, make it so that Yareli can hop on for resistance, and also allow her to hop OFF of the thing and have it scoot around and trip up or snare enemies. Maybe even make the squid-drive shoot sea snares that can synergize with the rest of Yareli's abilites.
Reading that made me think of things similar to umbra's passive where he still does stuff while your in your operator
I feel like Yareli's jelly fish k drive should've been like Sevagoth's shadow, where it has it's own health and goes down instead of you when health depletes. Plus, riptide should have definitely been a 3rd ability
Yareli: "Dad, nobody uses me cause I'm bad at almost every type of content"

He could use Her since she bout as useless as the Stug (thou I think the Stug more useful than her)
If you gotta have the Arbitration buffs then something is wrong with the frame
Imagine a halloween mission called Stug In Hell where you only have stug and have to doomguy some infested. Or in this case coomguy.
Ok, i know this is going to sound crazy, but how about we let the K-drive frame get rewarded for doing K-drive things.
Let Yareli mod Merulina and while on it keep her trick score for some time (lets say 8s base, scaled with duration) to then have her trick score and trick multipliers influence the range and strength of her abilities.
And each fancy action increase the combo in a way (headshots giving some trick, board slams, timed dismounts to invul soak, etc.)
That could work as that could break so much her toolkit, either way, she is not meant to be use in standar missions it seems
It’d be so much better if they just made a ventkid themed type of frame. Make her entire kit focused around the board. It just makes no sense really to have it in her kit aside from “haha splish splash jellyfish”.
I feel like the reason they made her CC collide with walls is cause they want you to be surfing around on her little guy in order to use it, which would be cool if 80% of the maps in the game weren't so cozy
If they wanted them to work like that, instead of shattering on pixels, they should BOUNCE offbthem, keeping all the snares and potentially increasing range

But Monkey Fuck had at least the Defy going for him... Yareli has... her passive? Like that's the only decent thing about her? And even that has issues because it gets dispelled if you stop moving for a milisecond, very easy if you're not on Merulina
Except even pre-rework wukong had the ability to never die, if used correctly, which is still better, than yareli's inability to do anything meaningful
Small correction: Harrow's chains don't require LoS, they only need a continuous stretch of solid ground...you can chain through walls
To be fair the jelly skateboard also has a double jump and can dodge. Also it doesn't randomly ragdoll you all the time. Making it a strictly better K drive.
Plus, add a specific augment and suddenly the snares and jellyfish give massive rate-of-fire and crit buffs to you, but requiring that augment AT ALL is a massive failure.
It really is much nicer to use- I was impressed by how good it felt compared to a K-Drive, And I'm someone who is, Uh... _Good with K-Drives._
Timing jump charge is still annoying, But having the dodge makes up for it essentially entirely. They really managed to make it feel good indoors.
*_Of course, While keeping the option to FEEL THE SPEED_*
In addition, Sea Snares can waste themselves up by sticking to already CC'ed ennemies, instead of seeking those who are still freed … -_-
And it only costs u 25 energy per cast. So. Who do I speak to for this STUPIDITY in DE. Srsly, don't we have radial blind at the BIRTH OF WARFRAME, which is obviously more useful.

I’ll say it again, I’m sad that she didn’t get exalted glaives
Oof. Exalted glaives would be hella fun. But with 2 ticks of goldfish brain cells of work put into her kit. I am certain it would come out just as fun as what we have now. Imagine doing 200 dmg with that glaives.
Also sadly, the so called glaives drawings were her aquablades which FOR WHATEVER the fk reason, doesn't have any model in game. All u gets are those two lines that circles around u. Dealing two sad digits number.
Actually, that's pretty neat. Make her 1 a bunch of glaives instead of orbeez, that just bounce in enemy groups, her 4 just pulls enemies closer to it so they work together, while making the damage scale off of how many enemies are being hit inside the area of effect. Her 3 can stay the same, I guess, but Merulina just needs to be thrown in the garbage from the 3 points line, don't know what to tell you
We only get 1 exalted frame a year and Sevagoth took that spot.
Which probabaly explains why Merulina isn’t moddable.
If DE can make Wukong fun to play, then I'm sure they can do something about Yareli to make her decent too.

Wouldt it be cool to have 20000 tentacles kidnappin enemies as fast as: tatatatatatatatatstststatatatatatattataratatsstta tatataatatattatatata :)
I desperately need a frame styled after jack cooper with an exaulted nechramech
How I'd design Yareli:
The idea is that instead of dealing with a large horde at once to chunk it down piece by piece using high mobility and close range.
Sea Snares is used to lock down areas with traps that cc enemies for a long time, keeping a portion of the horde out of the fight for a long time. Aquablades just shreds things at close range but its short range makes it necessary to move around a lot. Merulina makes it fast as fuck to move around. Riptide is used to gather enemies up into a nice blob so that they can more easily be shredded by Aquablades.
TLDR;
Sea Snares makes up for its area weakness with long duration.
Aquablades makes up for its short range with high damage.
Merulina gets Yareli into position to kill shit.
Riptide gets enemies into position to die quick.
I imagine Rahetaliaus reading this as he laughs throwing a tether to his K-Drive doing everything you said while scaring the enemies that watch him.
I know I'm like... 2 years late, but IMO I think there's an ability we can replace aquablades with that would be 10x more fun while filling the same role of being a DPS source she can use effectively while on the board.
See, fighting while going fast is fun... but aiming while going fast is hard... so what say we give her a short-range (10-15 meter lock on range) aimbot for her 3? That synergyzes with both her passive and Merulina, allowing her to zoom through groups of enemies and shred them with her secondary weapons while exerting her full mental energy on controlling the board rather than doing damage... and it even solves the scaling issues by just using your weapons' stats.
I think that alone would almost be enough to tie her whole kit together and make her a complete frame that a lot of people would love.
I see Hydroid finally unfused and Yareli and Sevagoth was born

actually quite a handful of signitures still lack special effects
not just yareli's
@@UriGerhard >Make passive give 200% more crit chance
>Make signature weapon have
The ones that don't have synergies yet are euphona prime, akzani, scourge, and skiajati. Euphona p is specifically Banshee prime's signature weapon, not regular banshee, so I don't know if that plays any factor into DE not giving it a synergy. Scourge for some reason is never stated to be Harrow's signature weapon even though it very clearly is meant to be, possibly because Harrow also has the Knell and it's treated as his actual signature weapon (even has a synergy). Skiajati also isn't stated to be Umbra's signature, despite literally being made of his flesh, although that was more than likely an oversight. Akzani is stated to be Mirage's signature weapon, although I honestly think DE has just forgotten that weapon exists. So it's only it and Yareli's boba tea shooter that are specifically stated to be signature weapons but don't have synergies. Probably because DE forgot/didn't care. And interestingly enough, they're both the more mediocre ones off the list.
Heres what I THINK they were going for, or how her design can be pivoted to make her better.
1) Scaling damage, low target CC. Put enemies in, and they'll die over time and not bother you while that happens.(should scale to do % health damage)
2)Gimik and survivability
3) AoE trash mob clear and minor CC, obligatory timer to manage.
4) Group up targets and kill off the fodder, maybe pick off the stragglers.
Still not great, but the core ideas can work for a mediocre to good all arounder
This is exactly why they need to move Scott onto something else and let Pablo/Sheldon/Steve handle frames. Every time Scott lays his hand on a frame it's awful.

Passive: 200% to secondaries after moving for 5 seconds, lingering for 3 seconds and getting continued immediately after she walks again. She also gets to use her archgun on any K-drive, because K-drive mastery.
1: "Water twirl" She spins and pulls enemies to her, dealing impact and reflecting all attacks during the animation.
2: "Water blades 2.0" Basically the same, but for every hit she applies with it, a blade flows from her to the outer ring in a random direction, able to also apply to anything these new blades hit. Also, it bypasses a percentile of enemy armor.
3: "Bubled Vorti" She throws out 5 bubbles which bounce of walls, chase enemies and when they hit them, creating a vortex that pulls nearby enemies in. Maybe even scaling with the number of enemies hit.
4: "Surf and Turf": 2 Modes, first when quick tap, Yareli hops on her K-drive, gets damage reduction and an added electrictiy boost to her weapons. Because combo attacks.
Second, by holding Yarelis K-drive flies away, turning into a Water vortex for an amount of time, absorbing bullets and rapidly chasing nearby enemies, picking them up and trapping them, damaging them.
@@chriwehl7173 you should post this to them because it sounds great
@@chriwehl7173 but an archgun would be way too op, a primary however. Would be a good option. Plus if you talk about literally an archgun would be too heavy to carry on a k-drive. Also, Yareli seems quite small. It would be quite hard for her to carry a big weapon that’s used in space fights. Think about how we can’t use an archgun normally on a planet while in a archwing mission you’re able to use one. The only time you were able to use an arch weapon on a planet is in water.

Just got a Yareli ad while watching this video. Thanks DE
Great video as always, Trib!
Honestly I've been scratching my head as to where to even START fixing Yareli. And the ideas I have are very, very few that will probably not even work.
With her 1, I'm not even sure why but I keep associating bubbles with healing, and with the bubbles being useless if they bounce off and away, it would be nice to give them a secondary purpose of healing allies that run into them, in case there aren't enough enemies in a room at the moment that would even be caught by the bubbles, but Yareli is some kinda CC and Damage frame so that might not work.
But then again I main Khora, a CC frame that has a cat medic in Venari.
Speaking of Venari, personally it would be neat if Merulina took some notes from Venari and Wukong's Celestial Twin, making Merulina a summonable ally in battle, running people over with the option to run up to the jellyfish-man o' war thing it is and mount it. And also run people over when riding it. Maybe give it a thing where it leaves a water-trail for enemies to slip on wherever it goes. The DR can still be a thing, too. Like when Yareli is not on Merulina, Merulina will take damage whenever Yareli does, but at the same 75% DR, and then when the two are combined it could be like Nezhas 3 or Rhinos thing and make it a fuller shield that absorbs everything.
I agree that aqua blades doesn't need range, but if they scale it with range, it would be cool that enough range makes a second ring appear.
Her 4th, as with everything, needs scaling. And it has similar issues to Khoras Strangledome, where the enemies get spread apart after the ability is finished, but Strangledome has synergy with Khoras 1, which Yareli does not have.
Yareli is frail as heck too. I wish the DR on Merulina worked like Nezhas 3 honestly. It would be much more useful, and the healing idea I had for her 1 would help her survive more if her abilities helped like that.
Oh, and LET US USE SUBSUMED ABILITIES AND THE REST OF OUR KIT DE I'm sorry but I was so disappointed. In an update where guns got a buff, arcanes that promote us to use our entire kit together, and new Lich guns to try out, Merulinas restrictions are a smack in the face with the rest of the Sisters of Parvos update.
I hope the stuff I'm thinking of makes sense, maybe give her Cold procs too or something. Idk. I'm just hoping we don't wait more than a year to get her fixed. I'm a fan girl for Lolita fashion, and seeing a Lolita-styled frame like Yareli be so bad makes my heart sink.
I love how people are starting to realize how good of a frame Hydroid is because of this k-pop girl like skateboarding abomination. Tentacle man 4 lyfe.
The person behind yareli's design must be like: "hmm, yes Aqua from konosuba."
imagine if the exalted mech warframe turned into the mech instead of summoning one?
Copy paste comment I left on TP's video:
I'd probably want to fix this by making the following changes - Tl;Dr at the top, more detail at the bottom with synergies and strats (like my Xaku suggestions from when that was a thing):
Sea Snares: Gains minor armour strip
Merulina: Jump spins create a whirlpool that pulls enemies in. Getting kills with a pistol on Merulina briefly expands the radius of the pull. Can be modded
Aquablades: Is now a channel. Adds damage resistance and deals increasing damage over time, with the rate of damage increase dropping over time. Kills made by Aquablades cause a jump in damage they can deal. If an enemy with status procs enters the radius, all status effects become diluted evenly between all enemies in the radius
Riptide: Is now a duration ability. On expiry, does not explode, but rather drops enemies. If manually detonated, hurls enemies caught in the radius like projectiles. On impact with a surface, status effects held by the enemy splash onto those nearby like an explosive. The longer the Riptide bubble is active, the more damage the explosion deals. Casting Sea Snares on the Riptide will extend its duration. Enemies inside the bubble gain damage resistance to counter the armour strip, ensuring they don't die before the explosion
Okay, so in more detail, I'd personally fix this by making Merulina do something like pulling enemies in on a spin (whirlpool or something), and making Aquablades both add damage resistance to Yareli on top of Merulina and turning it into a channel that gains increasing damage over time. Enemies killed by the blades will cause the damage counter to jump up. Every pistol kill on Merulina's back will very briefly expand Whirlpool's range. Make the Whirlpool ability be affected by range, and make both this and aquablades have their damage scaling and drain by duration, and damage jump, initial damage and pull speed by strength. Finally, make the increase in damage over time by Aquablades reduce over time to eventually zero, meaning the only way to increase it is to kill more enemies, soft capping the damage before it becomes too high, and letting a secondary effect of diluting status effects between enemies caught by the blades take over. This makes her a good AOE DPS frame. Make Riptide a duration ability that holds enemies in the bubble, giving enemies damage resistance when inside, and bursting at the end. Bursting the bubble early will turn it into an explosion that deals scaling damage and throws survivors further depending on how long it had been active. On impact with a surface, any status effect held by an enemy in the Riptide will be spread to nearby enemies. Finally, give Sea Snares weak armour strip, and alter it so that casting it on enemies caught by the Riptide will extend its duration. This would give her good CC potential. The enemy damage resistance would ensure allies can't kill enemies used to extend the Riptide's duration, and it provides synergy between two pairs of abilities. Trash mobs would be killed faster via the 2-3 combo, while Heavy units would be dealt with using 1 and 4. The status spread enhances the damage of weapons running Galvanized Savvy or Condition Overload on top of this, meshing her abilities with the rest of her weapons - Primary and Melee with the Heavies, Secondary with Trash. Turns her into a damage beast, makes Merulina way more viable, gives her added survivability and increases the potential of the rest of her kit, but does all of this in a way that requires some measure of skill in playing her. The idea to make her play most effectively is to let her sweep in enemies with her 2, dilute status as though in water with her 3 (by this, I mean taking all status effects on all enemies and evenly distributing them between everyone hit), catch them in a bubble with her 4 to begin stacking damage and extending the duration with her 1, before detonating it to kill anything inside, using survivors to spread more status to either begin the chain all over again, or use Melee/Primary to kill everyone hit. This not only makes both her whole kit and loadout viable, but also adds synergy with other frames, e.g. spreading status for Lavos, or grouping enemies together for a Hydroid to catch in puddle mode for extended CC. If changes like these were to be made, I'd definitely play her more, as it wouldn't make her too ridiculously strong if the caps are done right.
Oh, also make Merulina moddable. Please. Just give me at least this.
She's more of a 5 star hydro character, reminds me of kokomi a bit
The worst that could happen to Kokomi is getting frozen while the worst that could happen to yareli is her fucking tripping out of her k drive while her blades spins around hitting absolutely no one
Been waiting for this!!!!
I like your vibe lol, this is a more upbeat warframe channel

Don't cut yourself on it.
Love how trib is usually months late on content but is right on time for the Kawai frame. Nice.
Nechramech Warframe Power Concepts
01. Little Helpers.
These are essentially little summon companions that do passable damage. For additional jokes, you can make them modable or give them some of your weapons. You are a one man railjack crew and assault team. Have fun. Range is run speed, power strength is stats for their health and the like, but make duration a dump stat for them as they remain until killed or resummoned.
02. Arc Turrets.
Not much damage, but high status and meant to lock down choke points. Allowing you to focus on your rampage with a bit of insurance at the defense points. I think make range a dump stat here with a fixed seeking range and make power strength directly affect status chance or something.
03. Heal/Repair Pylon
Something to help keep Necramechs alive, your own or your allies, as well as just heal companions, yourselves, ect. With it being affected by ranged mods it makes sure that this stat isn't a dump stat.
04. Exalted Necramech.
Self-explanatory. Unlike other Necramechs this is more of a 'Transformation' power instead of 'summon your Necramech' as it will replace your model immediately allowing for a more fluid transition between Necramech and Warframe playstyles. Powers for this bugger are more up to you guys as I would do a full assault mode. Deployable shield similar to Volt (Three at any given time), missile barrage, and maybe a flamethrower or something.
A few suggestions for the next rework she gets:
Sea Snares: spawns 15 bubbles that behave just like the current ones do. However, it spawns them from Yareli at a fairly quick rate (around 5/sec), motivating her to move through groups of enemies and tough corridors on Merulina at high speed.
Merulina: remains about the same, only it would have the damage reduction at 50% instead of 75%..
Aquablades: Works the same, but applies Slash proc to enemies ensnared by Sea Snares and Riptide, motivating the use of said abilities while using Merulina to reach as many enemies as possible.
Riptide: Gathers enemies the same way the current state of the ability does, but with three key differences: 1) it creates the effect directly in front of Yareli, following her movement and snatching enemies as she passes them; 2) Yareli can use her weapon while the ability is active; 3) enemies are only lifted at about eye-level, within the effective range of Aquablades. This would make the ability incredibly powerful CC and dmg wise, since it scales from the number of enemies sucked in my the area of effect.
Passive: remains the same. Riptide now makes this viable while on Merulina and it is already viable on foot.
What these changes should do: Yareli is way more motivated to fly across the battlefield on Merulina's back, dealing decent damage with her Aquablades and CCing enemies in her path with her Sea Snares and Riptides, becoming a Warframe dedicated to enemy displacement and elimination of captured groups. She would rely on her movement as she's not as tanky, but that movement would be a boon and not a gimmick, since all her abilities now rely on her charging through enemies.
Love how he called garuda a mediocre frame but his review of her is heavily favorable.
Just because you think something is objectively mediocre doesn't mean you can't like it. For me "Brutal Legend" is the perfect example. It overall isn't perfect, but it's my favorite of game of all time.
@@Lakefront_Khan what the actual fuck did you just say? You didnt really say anything. Upon rereading it I got what you are saying, but nothing can really be objectively mediocre because somethings quality is entirely subjective. So if you like something then it isnt mediocre.
He did mention garuda being mediocre but after some changes and some tweaking she is still quite useful. She has abilities, like her 1 can absorb dmg, nuke, execute mercy-able enemies KEK. And with her 4 she basically can kill everything that can take slash status. Her 3 is also the only ability that takes ur hp down which can be really useful too. YARELI? I doubt her 2 and 3 with that two lines of description can say anything. We have sevagoth two months ago WHO has fking 7 abilities, that has scaling dmg, cc, healing, unkillable passive, super buff to ur dmg output for million dmg heavy attack build, and also some weird gimmick that suck. I would give him a D grade. This? YARELI can get an F and I would still felt UNJUSTIFY FOR THE F. This is not failure. This is fking catastrophic disaster of a showcase of brain cells.
@@demonintellect9834 Well, what he said was technically correct. Quality is not divorced from objectivity since we have commonly accepted standards by which an object (in this instance, Brutal Legend) can be measured as technically good or bad. What's subjective is one's perception of said object, which can be influenced by objective observation.
Think of it this way: people like the The Last Jedi, but it's still a shit movie.
@@cryonidesponge3779 Ok but what defines a "good" frame? Her damage scales, her entire kit is useful and she is pretty survivable. How fun she is to play is 100% subjective.
I never asked for a kawi warframe i asked for...
Stug run 3 ;-;
Fun fact:
In one moment her new main gun (Compressa) looked like Stug when was on the ground (stolen, if you know what I mean).
@@biomechanicalcyber-jesus7573 the kompressa also causes the game to crash so there’s it’s bad gimmick
I just don't understand how DE can have all of this hindsight on what makes frames work well, and they made a porn bait frame with no abilities that work together
I'm here for the month and a half drought for content, as per the usual.
Funny thing, Yareli's energy can go up to 740+ with Prime Flow equipped, something that's good, and bad at the same time!!!
Merulina is actually the best part of her kit. Let that sink in. It functions as survivability if you use the invincibility on dismount, and rolling guard while mounting, with Respite/Auger builds. It's basically a second rolling guard, with damage reduction between. When your shields break while on merulina, cast+dismount, then wait for rolling guard to come off cooldown if it isn't. Rolling guard mount Merulina the next time your shields break. Repeat.
That's the crazy part. It actually KIND OF works at what it's intended for. But mostly because shield gating tactics are so good.
Hey Trib. I love your content, you are The Warframe creator I watch. I'm curious if you would ever consider guides to some of the older, more "common" frames. Your style of videos could bring a lot to the table, and bring new love and appreciation to the OGs of the game.
So. The gameplay I'm watching looks really fun, riding around on a thing, slinging water at people. Making idol poses. Looks really fun.
"You will never catch me playing a weaboo tittle" says the guy making content for a game about space ninjas. Oh the irony. 🤣
@@snave5188 Well... in japanese mythology, ninjas are more like holders of secrets, super natural and unholy powers, like wizards or warlocks, so in reality almost any shaddy warrior holder of mysterious powers can be considerer a ninja according to japanese mithology.
Obviously in reality ninjas were more like assasins and spies, this image was exagerated by martial arts movies making the ninjas look more like super powerful martial artists which used speed and shurikens as signature moves so you have ASH like characters as the stereotypical ninja.
But in reality a monster who can melt its enemies without retaliation (like nova or saryn) or totally avoid any detection (like Loki or Ivara) is totally ninja like according to the really open interpretation of the mythology about what a ninja is, basically a ninja is any combatant who don't fight fairly and straight as a Samurai and don't follow the Bushido, this is why anime series like Naruto have characters with a wild variety of powers.
In conclusion all warframes are ninjas in their own right.
Personally, for her 1 I would reduce energy cost to 10 or 15 energy and make it to where other enemies that make contact with a cc'd one it would spread. I would also have it to where cc'd enemies from her 1 would count as double for her 4. For aqua blades I would make it to where range effects the thickness so it doesn't lose out on effective range like if they were just farther from her. Also of course remove the tick cap and add scaling.
Jack of all trades master of none introducing yareli
I mean what really gets my goat is that you hear Rebecca say the name right at the beginning
I have got an idea for riptide that the explosion would send the enemy more grouped up and in your direction stunting the enemy on the floor foor 2 second in doing that it would add some sinergy to aquablade and aquablade
*raises hand* Inaros's Devour is also a support/team-healing power, which is another thing it has over Sea Snares.
Yet De is just like: "here have helminyh fix warframes yourself"
Honestly, an Exalted Mech would work really well on this Grineer frame concept I had. God I hope that faction gets some love sometime again, every other main enemy faction has a frame (except corrupted and Narmer, I suppose)
I mean, I think she's fun to play. If you put Max range and duration on her, then her bubbles seek out targets like crazy and it's pretty hilarious.... I would never use her for any sort of end game content, But I do think she's fun to clear the normal Star Chart with lol.
2 years later: yeah...hope is gone
I have to admit, the best part of this frame seems to be the animation set. I will use that on Titania and my Trinity Prime for sure.
Hey Triburos, I remember when you said that you would love it if the glave glitch was made into a real thing so now we have aqua blades.
Vidyeot in which i pronounce Yareli wrong and make Comment Section mad at me
Anyway yeah, Yareli bad point and laugh.
Oh yeah, quick fix to a comment I make near the end of the video since I'm way too lazy to re-render and re-upload: At 17:20, I mention that Sea Snares has a cap. Well- it doesn't have an *enemy* cap. Rather, there's just a cap on how many Orbeez can be idle out on the field. I mention this with text when I'm talking about the power, but I slipped up near the end.
So yeah; no enemy cap on Sea Snares... But it's still hot garbage ahah
Also I know that it's kinda subjective as to which was truly the last stand-out mediocre frame since Yareli; like some folk might say Grendel, but I unno man. Atleast Grendel can put out work. It'll be interesting to see if there's conflict with that opinion I made
anyway ilu very especially you right there in the black and gold gamer chair
