      Hello @MA Industries Glad you love hte music! Sorry for the delay on this too. I should have taken the exact settings down but I believe I'm using the "Reggae 4 - one drop str" which I also believe comes with the standard sounds. Let me know if there are more questions.

    A drum pedal with a sobriety setting was a stroke of genius, it adds that nice human feel to it without the abuse from your drummer. No more dodging beer bottles! xD
    ps. The chord visualization is that part of Logic or is that an external plugin?

    Hello, I love your Nord tutorial videos 😊 have you ever heard of South African itende music? If so can you tell me how to get those sounds being plain a Nord 6D? Most of the African players use a Roland keyboard

    • @MyKeysToMusic
      @MyKeysToMusic  Před 6 měsíci

      @flodog75dog24 How interesting! Are you talking about the "flute-like" sounds like you'd hear on the Lion King's Circle of life? Or other sounds? If you could be more specific or point me to another CZcams video, that would help. Most likely you'd be able to sample whatever you want to imitate for your Electro 6.

      Thanks Carl. Yes, lots of options regarding how to manipulate rotor speaker speed. What you saw in this video was to push and hold the pedal to change speed. Another option is to toggle the speed with pedal which is similar, but yet completely different. And with the Nord Stage 3, another student and I where discussing earlier this week that you can assign aftertouch to rotor speed which is yet another good way to adjust speed while keeping both hands on the keyboard. 🎹

    I see sustain pedal engages the rotary but you have both sustain and control turned on. I’d be grateful if you can confirm which port the pedal is connected to, sustain or controller/footswitch. (Can’t recall what’s at the back of the Nord)

    • @MyKeysToMusic
      @MyKeysToMusic  Před 2 lety +1

      So the Electro has 3 jacks for pedals. I've clarified them below:
      1) Sustain pedal *
      2) Control pedal (adjusts volume only of a given engine). Must use expression type pedal for this to vary the volume.
      3) Rotar pedal (use a sustain type pedal). Toggles the rotary speeds between slow/stop and fast.
      * The sustain pedal jack can double as either just a sustain pedal or be used for BOTH a sustain pedal and a rotary speaker toggle/hold.
      Hopefully that clarifies it a bit.

    Thanks Marc. I've just recently got an electro 6d after years of carrying around a heavy Roland piano! I would be really interested in knowing what settings you used on the Electro to get that organ sound. It's wonderful!

    I would like to buy this machine. Does it contain ballads, slow rock, 16 beats? I mean in the preset styles. Thank you

    • @MyKeysToMusic
      @MyKeysToMusic  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello Kamran. Yes, for the most part, it comes with a lot of beats which include slow rock and ballads. There isn't an exhaustive supply mind you, but perhaps enough to get the job done. I recently splurged and got the entire content library that has more options and the 16ths as well. You could start with what it comes with and determine if that's good enough or if you want to get the premium library. @@MyKeysToMusic Thank you for your help and advice. I almost play easy listening songs as background music. I am sure this drum machine can help.

    • @MyKeysToMusic
      @MyKeysToMusic  Před 2 lety +1

      @@kamranhamidfar1725 I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it. They have a nice "brushes" drumset too which is perfect for easy listing/background light drumming. Then you can throw in the occasional fill and then have it transition to the "B" part and back to the "A" part and you are good to go. Just enough, but not too much. Drop-dead simple to use once you learn the basics.
      However, if you have the need to pre-program an entire song measure by measure, then I think it becomes a bit harder to program than using a DAW. This unit is really meant to be your drum machine to accompany you versus the star of the show if you know what I mean. Although as I say that, the sounds are so good that people do use the pedal as the sound source connected to their DAW when writing/recording music.
