⚠️ 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢?
If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by a mid-roll ad. I have them disabled on all of my content, but CZcams has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. CZcams's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it.
The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings here: czcams.com/video/ndeUVgZMh1Y/video.html
If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view this video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Rumble. If you want to stay on CZcams, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always.
The only guaranteed way to never get ads on CZcams is to subscribe to CZcams Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I do not need to play ads is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from CZcams Premium.
You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you. Historically, it has been helpful for me to know what type of device you are on, which app or browser you use, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for.
I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter, and I'm sorry there isn't more I can do.

I was awakened from a sound sleep several hours in. I don’t know what the ad was for. I was on my iPhone 13.
@@Carebeer I'm sorry that happened. You might want to try one of the alternatives I link to in the description. I've never had anyone report getting an ad on Rumble, for example. You may also try playing this video through your browser instead of through the CZcams app.
On android phone, at the 5:59 mark. Volume was up, so I was also. Don't know the advertiser, as I tend to react poorly when wakened from much needed sleep.

Mid-roll as came at the six hour mark. No idea what the company was; I was so startled I knocked the phone on the floor and it shut off. I’m on mobile.
I'm sorry that happened, and I hope both you and your device are OK. I would switch to the Rumble version (link in the description) because it has been my experience that once a person starts getting mid-roll ads during long videos, it tends to keep happening.
