This was a present from Marte? Pretty sure she's the one, chief.
I think, These are not tight that constricts blood flow, but are firm - I like it that way. amzn.to/3bSxgWm
Loving Matias giving Magnus shit about not resting and not warming up 🤣🤣
I must say, Marte has really come far with climbing, remember how she used to be “Normal girl” and deathly afraid of heights, but look at her now, very impressed of her effort!
Magnus is also pretty cool ;)
Thanx bro! Epic to hang out and watch you climb My neighbourhood classic! 👊 -MrMatias
1:20 He lowkey almost falls off the edge after making fun of it.
Yeah that would be such a dumb way to die lol he really needs to be more careful
And thats how a thumbnail is made
that looked sketchy as fuck
i'm so sorry, but why do you say lowkey? It makes you sound like a proper bell end.
@@garypeterson8927 calm down gary
The water is absolutely beautiful there
The boulders too
If only one could swim in it for more than a couple of minutes.
@@1970DAH you could always do the Norse man
You really make it look easy Magnus.
I know
He makes everything in climbing look easy
1:12 " Definitely wasn't as spectacular as it looked." Proceeds to swing around 20cm away from a cliff edge and almost throws himself off.
It goes straight down, no joke
Even Zoom class can’t get in the way of a Magnus upload. My teacher will have to wait
"What's your name?"
"My name is unimportant"
"What's your NAME?"
"Its... Sl-Slartibartfast - my name is unimportant!"
I don't care that it's at least four V grades above my abilities, I must go to there
Named for the guy who actually made those fjords. Nice.
best comment that's it
dude I'm reading that for the first time right now it's amazing
I knew this would in the comments! Nicely done.
Love to see you doing these outside projects and talking about taking on more in the future! Really miss this content. Wish you best of luck with the new gym and maybe when that is all settled a bit, we can see you crush some more hard blocks :D
Yes yes yes
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for this Magnus, Lofoten sure is magical and you do it justice with these shots!
Yeaa Emil. looking forward to your next upload from Lofoten too :)
Awsome scenery so beautiful looks like you both had a good Holliday and you all had a good time meeting up for bouldering.

PLEASE COLLAB
Seriously one of the most beautiful places on the planet
Wouldn’t be surprised if Magnus gets sponsored by National Geographic after the intro to this video
Magnus single handedly driving tourism to Norway via CZcams. Now I have to go sometime, so gorgeous!
Yep. Pretty much.
6:08 for magnus chalk reflex😂😂😂
That soccer field is absolutely surreal
The groundskeeper used to have to get in his boat and collect footballs during games and training. Now they're going to install a net, if they haven't already.
They have done that
Football*
wtf is soccer
I played a few tournaments there almost 30 years ago. To be honest the field itself is fine. the surroundings though...
Super video! More of the funky bearded guy - he seems cool :)
Fun bearded guy was cool and has a B&B for you climbers to book 👍
I was thinking the same. Nice style and very friendly 🙌❤
More info on the B&B
Haha agreed, looks like Pedro Pascal too lol
I've heard there are a few spots you can only reach by canoe! Is this true and when are we going? 😂
I haven't heard that, but I'll definitely join you on a mission!
Please. Do it. One of the best collabs so far!!
MAKE IT HAPPEN. ITS WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS
maybe you can just take the little boat magnus used while he was deep water soloing :D
its stunning... i found more footage... czcams.com/video/mg67iIFivDo/video.html
So glad to see Slartibartfast finally made it to Norway!! He won an award designing the fjords, you know. @6:52
Every time i watch some climbing youtubers like Magnus it looks so easy when they do it. I get so hyped because i think im gonna climb like 8a tomorrow and then i cant even hold the start
It's great following Marte's climbing journey and seeing Magnus absolutely crush it as her mentor.
7:23 the little scramble for a handhold then you see one and just go 100 on it is amazing
You know it’s cold when Magnus keeps his shirt on so much
Magnus, have you considered any Canadian Rocky Mountain trips?
I’d love to see you and Alex Honnold re-try the colab perhaps over here!
There’s tonnnnns for Marte to see, and do as well! It’d certainly make for a beautiful trip as a couple.
I 100% agree that he should visit Canada. Sunshine slab and Grassi lakes in Banff are by far my favourite places to climb. I’m lucky to only live a few hours away from them
@@yaboi772 we visited Grassi Lake on my first visit to Canada where my wife showed me around her beautiful country. Unfortunately I had my knee injured at that time so I couldn't climb. Looking forward to coming back at one point.
Yes! I would love to see videos of him climbing here.
Canada Trip would be awesome! They could hit BC for the boulders: Squamish, Hope, Kelowna/Okanagan, West Kootenays and more!
The bugaboo range across from the Rockies are a world renowned climbing destination as well.
Matias: lived in a village on a remote set of Norwegian islands.
Also Matias: has perfect English.
Norweigian schools really are kickass if they can teach English so well no matter how remote.
Not really lol we just watch american tv shows with subtitles ;)
Matias has also travelled a lot, he did 3 huge hitchhiking trips with his friend Espen Aarsvold from Norway to Morocco, Norway to China and Norway to South Africa from 2005 to 2008. I have seen the documentary of their trip from Norway to China, amazing experience. czcams.com/video/y6fa7j5CoGg/video.html
Also, he drinks Mate...thats unexpected.
I am a fairly lazy" beer at the pub guy", but when I was a student in Bodø back in the day, a russian student friend of mine who was a climber together with another student from Stavanger, also a climber, went to Henningsvær to climb (they convinced me I could do it). I believe the wall was called Paven (pope). It is still one of my greatest moments in nature, in proximity to the ocean and Henningsvær. The beauty surpasses any other place I've been to, even the Bora Bora Islands :) I also learned about Vodka having different quality from my Russian friend. Lofoten is incredible beautiful. Thanks for the nice video Magnus.
Matias is spectacular, such a nice character, he added a lot to the video!
So, from a fan that has been watching you since you went to Arco with Robin,
Why the hell did it take you so long to make this video!?!?
The beginning was truly epic! And your outdoor climbing is my favorite! So happy!💪💪💪
Since I found you on youtube I have been going to the Boulder gym every friday
That's great to hear 😊 hope you're enjoying it
Matias is my all time favorite guest on this channel. Such a funny dude
I'm loving the warm-up comments from your guide!
When you have 27 mins left at work and the video is also 27 mins #winning
Haha, saw you on an epictv video. Nice channel!
@Mental Dispute? I don't think he was looking for life advice but I could be wrong
@Mental Dispute? He was, He was watching the beautiful lofoten scenery and bouldering
Great video! Also I love that there's a boulder called Slartibartfast. Slartibartfast won a prize for creating the coastline of Norway, so it's appropriate that there's a boulder in Lofoten named after him.
Props to Marte on making sends! My first outdoor trip, I couldn’t do a damn thing! Nice job lady!
Magnus is just so broken af as a climber, he rests himself into shape :DD
I love how Marte started climbing on a date with you, and now it’s basically become such a focus in her life. Awesome to see how quickly climbing can get to the top of your priorities. You’re also such a positive influence on the climbing community. Always encouraging others that aren’t at your level. Just seem like a good human. Respect mate.
Pedro Pascal has been hiding out in Norway, it seems.
Lmao really does look like him
Her personality is one of my favorite kinds of people to be around. Just brightens the day. Yall together majes great content.
You've become cooler since Marté's presence. With the channel also growing. Very happy to see. An expert in any field is quite nerdy, and humble in all other aspects of life. While at the same time has the willingness to push.
We are grateful that we get to experience all this. Thank you for being
I love Magnus’ climbs for inspiration and Marte’s for relatability 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Lofoten is EPIC!
Thank you for showing the Thumbnail scene in the beginning!👍👍🙂
Bravo, Marte. You are awesome, a real inspiration, especially seeing how far you have come since beginning climbing last year. I also admire the fact that you didn't allow your fear to stop you from trying because real rock obviously brings many more challenges & dangers than plastic holds inside a gym. Keep crushing, Marte.
I always like your outdoor climbing, looks fun!

[with concerned parent voice]: MAGNUS! GET DOWN FROM THERE!
That girl is like the most adorable thing. So sweet but goofy. She seems so super nice...it’s a treat to watch you guys do your thing...
At around 13:12 it took me a couple of seconds to realise that the video playback wasn't sped up, which is incredible. You are an amazing athlete and an amazing person too Magnus I wish you and Marte every happiness together for the future, keep up the great work and thank you.
Commenting just because I see a new video but can't watch at the moment but really want to later when I have time and I can't wait because I'm excited!
Magnus was that you riding a womens-bike along the river in Oslo second last sonday or was that someone else. This has been in my head for so long now. Was it you or did I see wrong?
😂
Haha that was not me😅
@@magmidt that's exactly what you would say if you stole that womens bike and sold it to buy more chalk!
@@samuelyoung2671 Hey, how are you?
I saw that soccer field in a picture before. That place is rustic beauty at its finest.
Magnus is best CZcams climber cause he’s the only one with music that doesn’t make me want to throw myself off a bridge
Matias seems super chill!
this guy can truly do it all
even rest and lose weight
how
I think it has to do with your muscles no longer holding water in your body because you're not training and thus losing weight.
Most people train to lose fat, but for athletes like magnus it's different. They have so little fat and so much muscle that they lose more muscle than they gain fat when they rest
Muscle weighs more than fat thats why he doesn't want to have big legs or juji arms as he doesn't need it to perform. Stamina we all need 😉
that marshy rocky environment reminds me of my home mountains here in ireland. i love the scenery
Super cool to see her trying her best.
Don’t be afraid to be afraid.
If the move is too much out of your confort zone you don’t need to do it
Watching this in a 4k TV is everything!
Love the chemistry between both of you!
Holy shit that 1:05 clip at Ryten's ledge!? I've been there and while there is some ground underneath the ledge, it's not much and the drop is an instant death. You're crazy, Magnus
The only thing I've climbed in my life is a ladder - but I still enjoy watching these videos. Before the pandemic I visited Oslo Klatresenter (Magnus Gym). Loved the athmosphere and people there.
We're from California, but have some friends from Bodø, and got to visit them in summer 2019. We got to boulder some and overall it was one of the most amazing trips I've ever been on.
What Im most happy is about the mate that the guy has
man alive … your self-awareness of your own body shape, size, flexibility and strength is just nuts - plus your ability to read the rock and fit your body around it. And then you add to that your total humility and the way that you focus on supporting and encouraging others to build their confidence. I love watching your content. Thanks for sharing this :)
Magnus, you look so happy when you climb outside! It's like the sun rises in your face when you explore, test out new boulders and just have fun! Matias, it is great how you put into perspective how intuitive Magnus approaches unknown boulder problems. I guess it just 'clicks' somehow in his head ;) Marte, good job! :)
"and still you don't want to warm up?" lmao dead. magnus is too strong and that guy is super cool
Quite Aesthetic, amazing balance of art and sport.
yee
This is now by far my favourite Magnus video. I couldn't hit the Like button fast enough.
Marte's try on the one you said was around 6A was great! I would have been terrified, that took a lot of courage and skill.
Some nasty falls on them rocks even with pads
I was there a few weeks ago for the first time, it is absolutely amazing there! We had climbing shoes with us, but unfortunately no crashpads, so we could just visit the climbing gym in Oslo. I'll definitely come back for outdoor bouldering. Greetings from Germany!
Love this outdoor climbing at lofoten. It’s now my dream to one day travel there and climb those amazing boulders.
Videos with Marte are most enjoyable.
I have such fond memories of the amazingly beautiful Lofoten. Walking and driving around there felt like a dream. Thanks for taking me back there. Everyone should visit at least once in their life.
What is Matias drinking at 1:46 ? Just kidding! I'm argentinian! So glad to see a viking drinking mate!
Loved this! Thanks for your effort in making these outdoor videos.
It has been so rad watching Marte's progression! You're killing it Marte!💪
Northern Norway and Lofoten have tons of beautiful places for bouldering, climbing, hiking, ski touring etc 😍
this video is the best. nature is so legit
This place is so beautiful, I have written a note to visit it with my wife and son.
Beautiful. Nice to see some outdoor climbing again 😊👍🏻
I like it when Magnus just messes around with V13 and no warm up. Insane.
I love Lofoten- not only for the views, climbing and hiking, but I got engaged there too last year... couldn't think of a better place for that to happen!
Love to see this style of video again, reminds me of the older vlogs when Magnus was starting out.
Marte crushed! Awesome to see her go for it
After watching norsemen i can't get enough of the Norwegian accent it's so nice on the ears
This has everything I love about your channel: Bouldering, beautiful scenery, friendly locals and seeing you and Marte having fun.
Magnus’s videos always end with me planning a day to climb
That foot jam at the start of Monster looks mean as hell!
I don't know anything about climbing or bouldering but this channel is enjoyable to watch. You make people want to get off their couch, get healthier and try something new. Keep up the great videos!
That first V13 looked fucking hard. Climbing outside really is the goal, indoor climbing is a means to that end.
I have to say that watching Marte trying really hard at something that clearly scares her is really inspiring
comment for the algorithm
I’ll join 👌🏼
Also another for the algorithm as usual
HOLA
HOLA
I was there. I was speechless. Can't get any better. Lovely video!
Beautiful Lofoten! ❤ and Marte is awesome!!! I'm so impressed!
Thanks Magnus now I know we’re I will go next year for first time outside bouldering
16:10 holy shit look at how insanely shredded magnus' back and shoulder muscles are
The sheer ammount of blood pumped into those muscles actualy turning his back redish, spectacular
czcams.com/video/zoPGpmrAQKU/video.html 👍🏻
Love the chemistry between you and Marte!
I know absolutely nothing about bouldering. But I have watched hours of your videos, and I’m mesmerized by the amount of skill you and your peers exhibit!
Norway and Peru- the two climbing and surfing countries
Damn. Marte is a beast!
That one brown wall had a really sketchy crash zone! Even with pads it was bad.. I wouldn’t have done that in a million years. She’s seriously tough and brave and learning so friggin fast.
She’s definitely a good example for my niece and I love showing her badass women who try. Experts are great and all, but seeing an Olympic athlete is much less inspiring than seeing just a normal girl do something cool. It feels more attainable and realistic than those olympians who train their whole lives and are the peak of humanity.
So, Marte, if you ever read this… I just want you to know that even if you fail or don’t do something perfectly, you don’t look stupid, you look like a person who isn’t giving up and who isn’t afraid to try something new or difficult. Keep on being awesome.
the resemblance between the guy in the beanie an Magnus is amazing. when he's speaking at 8:20 - 8:25 or so. the head shape, mouth structure is extremely close to Magnus. As well he's got that smile that he is just enjoying himself. (already getting myself into shape so I can climb again)
Wow!
Amazing shots Magnus. Lofoten seems to be a beautiful place, and it’s always fun to watch you climbing. Please keep going 👍🏽
