    27:45 when Magnus talks about making boulders with friends. Is like when he went to Japan to the "worst climbing gym" it was a huge all with just different holds. So when they started to open up to him they pulled out the old book of boulders to find the hardest one for Magnus to try. Was so heart warming to see

      @@AlejandroPimentel I try to get my fellow citizens to remember we're in the USA, but usually they don't get the point-even after being reminded of where Vespucci's given name was first attached to this whole crazy land mass (and yes, originally to the southern part of it). Then comes the whole bit about Mexico's official name and there therefore being two Estados Unidos on the continent...most people have given up before getting that far.

    Thank you for the inspiration hadn't climbed since the 90s. I started watching your videos with my son and he wanted to climb so we started going to the gym. Flash forward to last weekend an old co-worker and I went outdoor climbing due to all the gyms bring closed. She was terrified to climb outside but there need to climb got her out. I climbed on rocks for the first time in 20 years and she overcame her fears. None of this would have happened without your inspiration you rock.

I guess it conveys a feeling of "it's never too late nor impossible, no matter what your what your goal is" (as long as the goal itself is realistic obviously), therefore thanks for sharing your story! 😊

      I think in Norway you are forced to go there lol, just like in Austria where I'm from. Nobody brags here about it, you are basically a slave of the country and don't earn much money at all.

      Lol that's very true! Man people like that are cringe af. I don't like being around those people. I have a few friends who annoy me when girls are involved in any situation they act like macho soldiers lol, wear or carry things military related to flash, totally indulge their stories ( they were mechanical engineers and worked on vehicles, mainly stationed in beautiful places like Hawaii, Japan, Spain. ) but they'll tell girls fake stories and act like they were frontliners lmao meanwhile I'm telling girls " I'm a horticulturalists " lol ( I'm a " vet " ) and was actually in combat but that's in the past so Its like ok well now I do this, talk about what I'm currently doing. Like maybe if it comes up naturally lol

      ToFu You are absolutely not forced. The military get so many volunteers so they only want people who are motivated. If you don’t want to then there’s a 95% that you don’t need to.

      @@ZaredZ The only alternative you have in Austria is to 1) do "social work" for 9 months (instead of 6 months military) or 2) have a medical document that you are not able to serve - useful for people with physical disabilities or mental problems.
      People who don't follow this law and duty and instead "hide" from executives can end up in jail for 12 months.

      Btw. Tobacco in norway is unbelievable expensive. While in germany a pack of rolling-tobacco is about 4€, the cheapest I could get in norway was about 24€ for 50gr 😂

      I remember a small gym in Scotland, where I had to descend a rope to enter the cellar. The way out was also through this one rope.

    This reminds me of my friend's farm in Trollveggen in Norway. Similar style farm, big stable which can be used as a climbing gym and a ton of boulders/mountains in the area that are climbable. And your friend is right, skiing is also a ton of fun. The only thing that's not fun is having to take a big morning shit but your only toilet is outside and there's a meter height of snow that needs to be shoveled away first.

    This is by far my favorite video so far! The place is amazing, the owner has a great sense of humour, and just the idea of living like that is so nice... I enjoyed the fact that everybody seemed to be having fun and making jokes. Marcus looks sooo happy to climb again! I can empathize with that!

    Dude for sure go back to this vlog type vids!
    It does let us know more behind the scenes stuff, but it's just more enjoyable overall in my opinion at least lol.
